  1. We should be a running team, esp. with Spiller being so effective.
  2. Its a good thing this wasn't a helmet to helmet hit otherwise you might have a point
  3. looks like he leads with the forearm in the chest to me, the head hits a very close 2nd, and its certainly not helmet to helmet. Definitely a clean hit. Lee needs to keep his eyes open there, its not like tate was hiding behind a tree. The more I look at what he is trying to do, and what he wants, i really dislike Roger Goodell. Fining players for clean hits, suspensions without evidence or guilt proven, preaching about player safety and wanting to ADD games, Super Bowls and franchises overseas, ETC..... The guy is out of control
  4. That's a valid concern, but I think Chan may have plans to run TJ across the middle on the drag routes more often than the "Lee83" go route. Its a more effective way to get the ball into his hands, since we all know Fitz can't hit a downfield reciever to save his life.
  5. thats awesome that he throws a pretty pass, but you know where MOST of those passes have been thrown.....PRACTICE, why, because he's a backup, thats what he was in college, thats what he was in GB, and now, he's throwing those beautiful backup passes in practice for Seattle because Russell Wilson, A ROOKIE, beat him out for the starting job. with Robinson, he filled the role of 3rd wr very well last yr, but as a primary target, I dont think he will be effective. Keep in mind that ROMO is a stat machine in the reg season, and has in fact done this before with his 3rd wr. Oh and BTW, Gabbert ain't no tony romo.
  6. The hypothetical argument won't work, we kept stevie because they saw enough to keep, Roosevelt, not so much. Look, I get it, you have a soft spot for the locals, but trying to say we should keep an undrafted, undersized, ST player over a sought after free agent going into yr 2 is nuts.
  7. i wouldve like to see Lloyd get brought in, but I cant blame him for following Mcdaniels to NE, he had the best season of his career in Denver with Josh McD. No thanks to the others though, robinson just doesnt strike me as a difference maker, I think his season in Dallas will prove to be a fluke. Flynn IMHO, got a "Rob Johnson" deal, he hasnt played in any significant games to date, just put up big #'s a few time when A-Rodg was hurt, but nothing extensive. Then he got beat out by Wilson. That doesnt exactly inspire confidence that he would be a legit starter.
  8. Enough with the calls for freakin Naaman Roosevelt, seriously, he's not that good. I understand that he played @ UB and that makes him a hometown favorite, but for pete's sake give it a rest. He hasnt been picked up or even given a tryout by ANY OTHER team in the NFL. Brad Smith is a versatile player that can line up in several different packages and be used effectively, even if its as a decoy. He still provides more use than a 5th WR/ST player that been sitting at home since cuts were made.
  9. First off, southern cal lost, the REAL USC, you know, the GAMECOCKS they won. second, Barkley sucks, high profile player, high profile team. Oh yeah, and Geno Smith was a BEAST, as usual
  10. Alot of high profile players looked bad today, it happens, and its still very early in the season
  11. just an average day for Geno Smith 34-39 411yds 5 tds 0 ints, nothing to see here....plus he's a RUNNING QB, right Barbarian?
  12. I will be watching usc vs uab tonight, and MD vs MSU. Next week will be fun cause my pick for best qb of this class, GENO SMITH, will finally be on tv. Also, ya'll keep an eye on Shaq Rowland WR from USC (south carolina), he's a true freshman, but a talent to keep an eye on. Also, as much as I hate to say it, Clemson has a nice pair of WRs in watkins and ellington
  13. Va tech is down to pitt right now, Logan Thomas not doing so well. its too bad we have to wait till next week to see our future qb
  14. Being that I live near Clemson, i see alot of Tajh, he's got a loooong way to go. Frankly, I dont think hes gonna play in the NFL. On the Other hand, Geno Smith is a guy i've had my eye on for the last 2 yrs, and especially going into this season. He has everything you look for in the Modern franchise QB, size, arm, smart, escapability, and is familiar with spread (not read option) principles. He did very well this past summer at the Manning Passing Academy, drawing praise from several coaches, and is dedicated to being a passer first (as stated in multiple interviews). Barkley will be the guy to get all the press and acolades because of his high profile school, but Geno Smith is the one to watch. If we have a shot at this kid, he should be the pick, trade up to get him if you have to, IMHO, he's the Gem of this QB class.
  15. im really perplexed as to why TJ was inactive, i guess that chan wanted more blockers available, anticipating a close game, maybe. idk, i thoght going in that TJ would be our ace in the hole, obviously it wasnt in the plan.
  16. aside from the fumble, which i dont think was a fumble, he played GREAT, could've easily has over 200 if not for a shoestring tackle and Chan's bromance with Choice.
  17. Steve Bischotti bought the Ravens from Modell a while ago, still sad news though.
  18. i got stevie, bills d/st, spiller and fitz
  19. Last one, promise. Wvu doenst run a spread option, its the spread air raid tjat ok st ran when holgerson was the OC there. And tje assumption that a apread qb cant read D soeant apply, look at Cam and dalton, both spread qb both jad difft levels of success in yr 1. as youve said, time will tell, and I'll leave it at that
  20. does anyone realize that once troup gets healthy and contributes we wwill have 4 solid players from that draft, thats about as much as you could expect. Spiller is poised for a breakout yr and will be the guy by next yr, moats is starting, and AC is a solid rotational player, its not bad. This idea that we are supposed to hit on every pick is absurd, it doesn't work that way.
  21. did you answer my question? i watched the video, i also went back and checked those opposing qbs #'s, guess what... Smith had more yds, tds, and the 2nd best ypc vs LSU than any other QB, along with the 2nd best pt total vs one of the top 2 defenses in the country. so the question was, who had a better individual performance against LSU? Answer: Nobody, even the Bama qb, in LSU's only loss, couldnt even throw a td vs them, Geno managed 2. using the LSU game as a adequate reflection of his play is misleading at best, nobody looked good against them.
  22. you still haven't produce a valid arguement, criticism, or evidence to reinforce your original premise.
