If you had to pick a wr for the jets to pay $8m too, he’s got to be the worst realistic option. I mean that in a good for us, bad for them way.
at his best he’s an $8m kind of player, but could be much worse. It’s all downside in the contract.
yup.
kid understands the game- frequently breaking down what he saw on film vs on the field (and their adjustments) in post game interviews still on the field... has the physical tools too.
hes not a guarantee but he’s a guy I’d take my swing with. And a pair of mid/late firsts is not crippling.
creating space is easy.
Now time to see if he puts together a super bowl roster or not. That’s where the expectation is. I generally like where we are at and am eager to see where the rest of the assets go. SHOULD win the division and host a playoff game. Will see about if we can compete for a bye.
shaq got 10/ for 3 years. he’s a fine player but not game breaking.
Essentially a 1 year 9m with essentially a cheap team option to follow but also some incentives isn’t terrrrrrrible. Maybe a little heavy in pay but some perks in structure.
We are in a cap spot to take a few risks like that. The beauty of josh being cheap (plus tre, plus Edmonds) is that we can get about 5 guys that are risky with house money. Worst case he’s a fine enough but overpaid DT3. Best case we have a great rotation.
and can get out of it easy if it goes badly,
this was an offseason where we sign guys not lose guys. Comp picks weren’t a consideration with this cap space
Saquon may be another off the table.
we trade 22 for Hopkins.
houston either picks any RB they want, or even trade back. Or deals that pick. Cards would add more assets than a bad contract RB to get 22, for instance.
you do see outside of veeeery few limitations 22 is incredibly valuable in targeting a RB?
He’s had a lot of solid seasons. Always been a fan. Admittedly was my draft crush the year he came out. Physical freak, and former Hs wrestling champion so hard working, gets leverage etc... just checks so many boxes.
All I was doing was pointing out how little impact talking to Croom had on a decision like targeting a top 10 guy in the league at his position. I felt pretty calm in that.
Yea there is ugly design and poor quality design. I just don’t see a rams tie to it. Aesthetically it’s pretty bland but in actual design work it doesn’t show the brand in the slightest
I mean he was a day 2 pick.
to play 11 years as a starter and notch a pro bowl lends itself to being average to a little above. But as a pick in the 30s that’s a pretty solid career
