    The point is none of us have much if any information, and you are the only one posting a strong opinion so we were understandably curious where it came from. Especially since it’s contrary to any insight afforded that we generally have access to. but then again you posted the jimmy g comment without a lick of care about the widely known and easy to find fact sooooo yea.

    How do you quantify what he’s learned about team and culture building? The next two years are essentially team options. They could walk away with nearly zero consequence

    I know it’s hard to say as a bills fan, but we are in the window where we can overstock talent. generally his record should be among the best as in theory this should be one of the seasons he has the most advantages compared to peers. I don’t think he’s far behind anyone but have a hard time thinking he’s the cream of the crop and best in the entire league.

    To be fair, kicker is the only spot I’m advocating. I’d hope someone could pooch a few 30 yard punts without returns. I don’t think anyone else is reliably putting it through the uprights from 40+ though. A backup long snapper can be kept at the opposite side of the room in OL meetings and get a ton of meaningful reps during the season

    right, but in a normal year there’s no waiting period for signings, and while it’s not ideal to be forced to scheme around a guy being out - this is definitely a uniquely large drop off in what could be key moments. running extra nickel packages because a lb is out isn’t quite the same as having a lb handling all kicking duties

    even if they are excellent about it - there is risk. wife (or gf) gets sick at the grocery store and we have a linebacker kicking in the super bowl? Don’t like it.

    Id be fascinated to see results of 2 polls: the nfl plays favorites and isn’t fair to teams like the bills? the nfl should do away with its consistent policies and make each case a judgment call? i suspect there would be a strange overlap

    and when you are down two and 30 yards out? I think it’s a no brainer to have one due to the week long holding pattern on new signings what about outside exposure?

    again, consistent policies applied in these examples. outbreak putting players at risk, try to postpone. Outbreak contained, play as scheduled. not allowing a team to sign a coach has always been a rule. If the broncos wanted a 5th in house qb they could’ve had one. Or followed restrictions with their existing 4 that would’ve prevented this.

    no one forced the broncos to play by your standard. They could have forfeited.

    that 6-3 one? Derek Anderson did his part with like 20 yards but Trent Edwards was triple digits.

    in theory it wouldn’t happen to the bills who are following a better protocol. Be mad at the team not the league.

    If you don’t think letting taysom pass the ball accomplishes that, you have your answer on whether they think he’s the guy.

    Soooooo tentative. I get taking no risks in a game like this but at some point got to pull the trigger. its not like Denver is going to start racking up touchdowns and the leads wide enough to actually test taysom a bit without consequences.

    why would Denver push the ball there?

    you knew he’d be asked to do very little but... this game might not cross 100 total combined passing yards 😂
