Yea, I think it’ll be paying edge rushers (vm and GR) and platooning a mix of young and tier 3 vet interior guys if mapping our current roster over the next 3 year turnover
-
too late. Already committed to reality.
-
you are hapless?
-
In fact, that’s better than average still despite missing pro bowlers at safety (x2), CB, and linebacker. how many teams are holding teams below average scoring with 4 pro bowlers out in their back 7 red zone turnovers are a big deal. In divisional games on the road especially. imagine how demoralizing it would’ve been to see their kicker trip himself, diggs go deep on sauce and then punch in 7 points before they even knew what hit them.

Raiders release Jonathan Abram does anyone need a safety
NoSaint replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
it all comes back to whether we expect to be the #1 offense. Teams aren’t going to rush for 30 ppg on us. If we become a team that turns over the ball in the red zone then it’s a whole different conversation the colts best defensive player was Peyton manning. That dude was a terrible run defender but racked up sacks and turnovers and never gave up a deep ball my suspicion is the term starter won’t matter and that it’ll be package assignments with splits based on situation -
by the time he’s ready to play the rams will be eliminated and Stafford might checkout on the season to heal his arm. dude wants january for game film before free agency more than the pride of a team accomplishment

This season it really is just Allen and Diggs
NoSaint replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
To use am example called out this weekend when Josh scrambles and diggs finds space horizontally and Knox goes vertical - there’s a reason ones getting those targets. Diggs has been creating good and predictable windows im not sure what he’s going to do and he’s creating a harder throw would absolutely get a guy looked off -
to be fair, he had less than 600 yards but a ton of touchdowns. the touchdowns are not great predictors of future success.
-
good info! I always get curious about the data vs just creating a storyline out of thin air to support an idea
-
a consideration and I’m not sure it changes anything but a tight end may see large change in assignment with being in line and chipping a rusher first vs a route where they are split wide for instance.
-
yup. Whether play calling or talent we are missing a lot in the mid range.

Lucky we don’t define careers by single days in November
-
And unlike a small speedy guy, the “all” is the opposite of his physical gifts. It’s a strange dynamic that he’s a big, physical hands catcher. The “all” should be the exception, not the rule, for him

until he starts catching 4-5 normal balls a week, I have concerns. the deep balls are great but your number 2 guy has to help move the chains at least once in awhile. at 210 lbs, 4.55 forty I am concerned about how long he can live on blowing the top off the defense instead of winning contested slants, crossers, etc…
-
he has what, a dozen catches and maaaaybe 200 yards outside of the 4 deep ball highlight touchdowns?
-
who knows. Maybe there was a complication. But it’s November and I remember them allowing for debate of if he’d even start the season on PUP. At some point he’s got to get reps in though and I’m all for a few drives here and there to avoid the inevitable hamstring issue etc… now instead of December and the playoffs maybe impacted.

Do you see the Josh Allen era Bills as having a "window"?
NoSaint replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
they will always be in the window if Josh is healthy but those odds ebb and wane between say 5% and 20% any given year based on what chips are on the table. -
he’s going to get like 4 game checks the pay rate matters little. He needs to go where he can put the best content on film before the off-season. That’s a combo of best qb, most favorable and most familiar playbooks, and most games to be played. dude isn’t showing up in December for 8 weeks for a ring, he’s doing it to get paid in March and a ring affords both time and quality film is all

Was the Bronco's 2018 Draft the Worst in NFL History?
NoSaint replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
go look at a few raiders drafts fro a couple years back. They would have loved the broncos draft. -
agreed on all fronts. and also got called out for saying 3 touches for 10 yards did not qualify as a “great game” I think he worked his way right off the team this year, and Hines replaced all his “pure athlete” touches and shakir/crowder(Beckham?) take his 3rd WR work by the time post season arrives (disclaimer for injuries)
-
Zach moss is slow again
-
because a losing team with no qb doesn’t need the most expensive backup running back in the league hes still quite good but not great ROI on a 3 win team
-
expensive and they are going nowhere
-
he’s trying to get you to react. You did.
