  1. When he's dead I'm sure he'll get a shot
  2. I would have thought conservatives would have liked Google's choice- 1. Originality 2. not following the masses and tradition (not sheep) 3. not politically correct 4. not supporting a practice that demands the suspension of critical thinking .
  3. My draft using the drafttek big board - Basic premises 1. Bills in total rebuilding mode, 2. gambling on upside 3. go big first 4. looking for size at WR 1. Ezekiel Ansah DE- physically comparable to Aldon Smith and Jason Pierre-Paul- will probably need a year of NFL coaching and strength training but then a very good all-round DE 2.Terron Armstead OT/OG- Athletic enough to be a TE or 3-4 DE 3. Kyle Long OT/OG- Howie's son, Chris's brother both say Kyle is the best Athlete in the family 4. Da'Rick Rogers WR- legitimate tough guy at WR, ( think Anquan Boldin) talent to be an early 2nd but some off field issues makes him available at 4th round 5. Marcus Davis WR- another jumbo size WR 6,3 233lbs 6. Sanders Commings CB- big CB 6,0 216lbs, drafted late round MLB outfielder, best position could be safety or nickle LB
  4. Right there with you - Barkley can't make all the throws- we had that guy who was more athletic, smarter, tougher, and had just as good intangibles, we just cut him, IF I'm getting a QB out of this draft and that's a big IF I'd be someone with better upside - Smith, Manuel, Bray, or Scott
  5. I haven't been following it but I thought KW was suppose to have surgery late Jan early Feb, if this turns into another "well I thought it'd get better if I just rested it (read no off-season workouts) but now that training camp starts I realize I need surgery" situations - that there is utter BS - I like KW, when right I think he is a top 5 DT , but if hasn't had surgery yet I'd cut him right now.
  6. My younger brother was valedictorian at Tech, I congratulated him then kicked his ass because I was a Riverside graduate and that's what we do to smart guys, he got even by making about 5x what I make.
  7. Te'o's problem to me isn't the fake girlfriend thing it's being an inch shorter, 15lbs lighter, and a tenth of a second slower than everyone thought he'd be.
  8. Your problem is you don't speak emotocon, it's like jazz either you get it or you don't, ignore the words and concentrate on the shape and the emotocons it's art like a HR Giger painting.
  9. Never understood why people were so happy to have the lord as their shepherd, it's like they don't know what happens to the sheep.
  10. One thing I'd want on my offense are players who force opposing defenses to cover deep and sideline to sideline, you need a strong armed QB first and a speed guy like DHB second I can see why Stevie wants him, he's imagining all that space opening up to him.
  11. The Bills didn't put the exclusive tag on Byrd and the 49ers are looking for a safety, any chance the Bills do a deal getting picks 31 and 34 from the 49ers, might be advantageous for both sides with the 49ers getting a playoff ready turnover machine to help them win a SB and the Bills getting flexibility in the draft plus an extra 6+mil to use in free agency in their total rebuild mode.
  12. I'd use cap space this year on Wood and Carrington and maybe extend Dareus 2 years, I'm kinda sick of this running in place
  13. I think Geno Smith has the best upside-downside in this draft- Bray and Manuel have better upside but much worse downside, Barkley and Wilson have similar Downside to Smith but less upside. So overall I think Geno Smith is the best bet in this draft class but how good is he compared to QBs already playing - Manning (either one) good? no, Brady good? no, Rodgers good? no, Brees good? no, Ryan good? no, Luck good? no, RG3 good? no, Wilson good? no, Kaepernick good? no, Romo good? yes, Schaub good? yes, Cutler good? yes. so what are you willing to give for a QB who's best upside is Tony Romo? it's an upgrade from Fitz and remember Flacco another QB in the slightly better than mediocre class got his team to the SB.
  14. Good player but I wouldn't have him in my top 20 maybe not top 25 so why would I take him at 8 - if the Rams want to move up for Patterson or an OT then I'd consider him at 16 or 22
  15. When you say The entire intelligence community you really mean U.S, U.K and Israel - German and Russia intelligence never agreed, I thought French intelligence was on board but later I saw an interview where a Frenchie spook totally denied ever agreeing with U.S. intelligence assessments (truth or revisionist history who knows) - plus try to find an American intelligence officer who will take credit for that intelligence assessment, good luck, I've seen many CIA guys saying stuff like I don't know where the hell that Intelligence came from - I've seen no one taking credit for it.
  16. I'm sorry did I say objectivism, I meant to say obnoxiousism
  17. Like claiming Ayn Rand objectivism and Christianity
  18. Here's a question, if you put the best players from Buffalo and Cleveland on one team and created the Buff-Cleve Brown Bills how many wins would they have-
  19. While I'm sure you could set a minimum wage that would slow growth and cause unemployme when I look at historic minimum wage vs unemployment and gdp growth I don't see it in practice - minimum wage probably is very close to what the market would set anyway which you could see as redundant but it would curtail abuses to some in a vulnerable position - we don't let the market decide every issue for example we don't allow price gauging in times of natural disaster.
  20. With Clowney, Lee, Bridgewater, and Manziel it would be great timing to suck in 2013
  21. ding ding ding we have a correct answer
  22. http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0774473.html historic minimum wage 1955 -2012, historic high 1968 equivalent to $10.42 today, historic low 2006 equivalent to $5.84 today http://www.westegg.com/inflation/
  23. No the basic problem with the Bills over the years is that they can't self-scout and evaluate their own talent- another problem with the Bills is Ralph just wants to be competitive thus a team that hangs around 500 to me a team should be in one of three modes 1. blow it up mode, where you are getting rid of older and expensive talent and hopefully are stock piling draft picks, and of course stealing from practice squads 2. rebuilding mode, you have sucked pretty bad for two years but have a young talented core of players including a QB - you are no longer drafting in the top 5 and position takes a slightly higher priority over strictly BPA- you are selectively using FA looking for value and youth. you selectively extend a few players 3. Go for it mode - you're a pretty good team with a nice young core including 3 or 4 pro-bowl guys, maybe you made it to the playoffs - salary cap numbers are still good - this is where you consider a higher priced FA or an older FA who only has a couple years of quality play left- this where you move up in the draft for that one player you think might take you over the top. If you are the Bills you are making PR moves to sell tickets

Under such conditions large numbers of the middle-class and below will feel increasingly disenfranchised from the normal political processes leading to everything from extreme apathy to extreme social unrest.
