  1. Where are the stats that indicate Donald Jones is good. In the years that I have seen him play, He has done nothing to indicate that he is a good number 2 receiver. Hardly that, I think Naamann Roosevelt was a better receiver. Gaily like him, What does that say.
  2. Not in a million years. He is not worth the hassle.
  3. Really? Actually, When Gailey was with KC, He used Bowe. ALOT. He is the perfect fit in this offense. He would overtake Stevie anyways, He's that good. The problem yes, is who is throwing the ball his way. That is a problem we already know about. I'm just saying that there are good options at WR.
  4. Well, the chances are that the Bills do not do a thing to address the QB position. My feelings are that they do not change course and get a new coach either. But I do think that there are some good players to be had in Free Agency. I speak Free Agency, mainly because we are out of it this year. We all know that. I for one think that they should address the abysmal LB position, but my money is on them making a move at WR. Take a look at the WR's. on the list. I would take any one of them. Well, maybe not Kevin Ogletree. He's had one good game this year. and it was the first game of the season. 1. Greg Jennings - Nice receiver, but may command too much cash to see a fit in Bflo. 2. Mike Wallace - Love the talent on this guy. He can stretch a defense with speed. He wants big money too, Hell, Don't they all? 3. Dwayne Bowe - Would be an ideal fit here. We need to get him before the Pats get him. 4. Wes Welker - Great slot receiver. Up in age, so he will be out of NE. No way they keep him after this year. 5. Josh Cribbs - Just the guy that the Bills usually go after. somewhat productive, Good return guy. needs work, but our offense suits him 6. Danny Amendola - I would love it, if the Bills got him. Fast, Sure Hands, great route runner. Didn't I say fast. He's the new Wes Welker, The Patriots may make a run here too. 7. Kevin Ogletree - One game wonder. Would not want this guy. But I can see the Bills making the less than favorable move here. Someone that does not play better than Stevie and can be had on the cheap. As for Tight Ends. 1. Fred Davis Washington will probably keep him 2. Jared Cook. Nice TE 3 - Dustin Keller. - Over hyped. 4. Heath Miller. Now that's a great fit. Great guy, but I like Chandlers progress. He will stay our TE for a while.
  5. Nice reference about the restaurant. I agree. About Marcel D. I do think he is a good player. Even though he is still relatively young, I see a lot in him. the way he gets through his blocks is impressive. He is shorter than the average Dt, and his leverage is not great, but he is like a Bull dog. short, strong and nasty. You have to look at the space that is covered in this defense. the LB's need to jump into run support. when they do, the space closes and Marcel holds his space. now if you look at where the rbs are going against our def, they don't hit the gaps near marcel unless a fb double teams him. the problem I see is that we cannot get through on passing downs. not sure why either. The QB has a lot of time. I think that we make a lot of mental miscues. we call a passing def against their run. This happens way too much. Wanny makes those calls, and thats why he sucks right now
  6. Yes, Spiller, Dareus, Glenn & Gilmore worked out so far, but out of 27 Draft selections, 5 is not good enough! The later rounds are where you find system players or "right fits". But it hurts when you go from a 4-3 to a 3-4 for 2 years than back to a 4-3. WTF. When Chan Gaily was brought on he was noted as a person that adjusts to his players. We had a 4-3 and he wanted to go to a 3-4 with no personal in place. That was a huge mistake. but even if he wanted to go to a 3-4. You have to get the personel and commit to it. not bail after 1-2 seasons. Look at New England and Pittsburgh. They get the system in place, get the players that compliment the system and game plan. They stay with the game plan, That is why they have always been to the playoffs. We do not have an identity on Def. other than a bad one. If you want to run the 4-3 you need the line. Yes, we have that. but in todays vertical game the DB's and LB's have to be fast and be able to take on a bull rush. Our LB's cannot cope. Other than Nick Barnett, our LB's lack the speed and strength to keep up with The Jets and The Patriots. You have to figure out a way to beat those two teams before anyone else. They are division rivals, and have dominated us for over 10 years. Why do you think that happens? They know our system and can exploit it. The problem is, I think Gaily has the right system in place on offense and has the right people, besides a good 2nd receiver and a QB, but that is the guy we should have looked for when he got here. Do you think that 100 Mill on a defensive end is more valuable than your team leader on offense? It would not have put this franchise back, if we grabbed a good spread offense QB over the years. Colin Kapernick would have been the perfect fit. The problem is our talent evaluation and the need to fill the crucial positions like QB, LB and DE. Nix has to be accountable. Bottom line.
  7. I agree that Sand does need to be removed from his sleeve of wizard. (Borat reference) That's classic. I hate to harp on our beloved Bills, but it's so hard to always get our hopes up for a winner. Let's face it. We could not stop the ECC offense. Times are tough. I do agree that we need a game changing LB. That is what exactly started the defensive movement in San Francisco. Patrick Willis was drafted than all the other pieces, fell in place. Look at the great Bills teams of the past. Cornellious Bennet, Shane Conlan, Daryll Talley. Those were three solid LBs. It all starts with those guys. I wish we could have drafted Luke Keuckly. The guy that went before our pick. He was a Blue Chip player. But there just has to be accountability on the Defense. Our game plan sucks. Wanny was a bust in other places too. so why would he not be a bust here. Right now, I'd take Wade Phillips to be a DC. LOL He sucked as a head coach, but he was a great Defensive Coordinator. My pick for The next head coach would be Re's brother in Dallas. Someone who's a fat overbearing hard ass coach. He's got some fire in him. He is competitive and probably wants to beat the crap out of his brother. Hell, I'd take that. I meant Rex
  8. The Buffalo Bills selected 15 defensive draft picks in the last three years. The result. One of the worst defensive units in the NFL. That's not even counting free agent pick ups. Bottom line; the talent evaluating is pitiful. We have had a bad defense for a while. where else can an opposing runner shine, than against the Bills. I think that Buddy Nix might have had a decent history with the Chargers, but It's his mark on the Bills that will leave a bruise. I'm tired of this. Chan Gaily should have been an offensive coordinator here instead of a Head coach. These are all decisions made by Russ Brandon and Ralph Wilson. They should be held accountable. it looks like we will have a tough time making the playoffs again this year. As always, I prey for the bye week. usually, because we stink and need to heal up. We do need a franchise QB. Fitz is a poor mans Rex Grossman. We need leadership in Buffalo. Ralph Wilson has to see this. Sure he probably does not care because he still makes money off the Bills, but when do you say to yourself enough is enough. I'm starting to not care if I see the games or not. What's the sense sometimes. Good for Chris Kelsey for speaking up. maybe some people will listen to him. I hope this team gives me a reason to watch them.
  9. Jerry Sullivan is a hack. plain and simple. I love the statement you made about him being a black cloud over the Bills. So true, So true. He is a chronic complainer. Someone whom always gripes about what happened, instead of lending support where it is needed. The reason he still has a job at (BN) is that he is the lightning rod for controversy. We talk about him, and Shoop. That's why they stay in business. but honestly. They both are Doldts.
  10. Roosevelt is a guy that should be on our roster. He arguably, had the best pre season. Chan Gaily has said that he was reliable, plus he knows the playbook. He should be on our team. Never mind the fact that he is a local guy, He can play. and someone upstairs, for some reason or another thinks he's too short and too slow. He gets open, That is the same thing you can say about Stevie Johnson. He does not have great speed, but he gets open. Even if Gaily is the one in charge of the roster, How in the world is Ruvell Martin a better option, than Roosevelt? Martin is not good. I don't see it at all. Maybe the whole thing comes down to who can play special teams. If that's the case, One gunner should not make Roosevelt expendable. Why should it? Throw McKelvin in that spot. I'd love for him to not be on our defense anyways. He's been beaten more times than a egg omlette.
  11. McGee is not a good CB. I hesitate to believe he was a good CB three years ago. Why is he still on the roster? I thought Ashton Youboty was better; whom is now looking for a spot. but we do have some young guys on the roster that probably should get a chance for some action. I think McGee gets cut. He should get cut.
  12. MOEOKI had a hell of a rookie year. but wasn't he injured last year? I did not know that he is a free agent. Hey Even though, I am partial to Dallas Clark. MOEOKI, could be a good pick up. Not sure what they will do, but Chandler cannot do it all. we need another good TE. Clarks salary could be a concern. Who knows what he would want. Other than be where Manning is.
  13. Who has proved it year in and year out? Gronkowski is damn good, that's why I'd put him at 1, Graham is good too. Lets see how he does next year. before ranking him higher than someone who has done it for multiple years. Who knows what will happen with Brees' situtation. Clark is a great route runner and great catcher. He was a beast before his injury.
  14. Are you kidding me? Dallas Clark is a top 5 TE. No doubt. If not top 2. Of course, he needs to be healthy. Just Hope his old TE coach has some recruiting abilities. I would take this signing better than a Vincent Jackson signing. Wow, Fitz would be thrilled if he had Clark and Chandler to toss the ball too.
  15. I too feel that the guy has a bad attitude. He seems like an elitiest personality. A guy that shouldn't have to bother with phone calls. It's the business world buddy. That's your job to take phone calls. Buts his whole demeaning candor in general is disturbing. He feels he has a strong vocabulary and is somewhat smarter than the average bear. Give me a break. It's the attitude that translates. I don't care if you got a 600 on your SATs, If your good with people and you have something interesting to say, I will listen. If your smart and have an attitude, I won't listen. When ever the guy barrades a caller, I turn the station. I'm sick of that crap. There is no need for it. Another interesting note, whenever he interviews someone who has a position of authority or is somewhat important. (GMs, John Clayton etc) he kisses but or perceives to have a different attitude with that style of interview. Just my observations. But at the end of the day, I have one word that I always seem to describe schoop as; Dolt. He is a dolt. Plain and simple.
  16. Turbosrrgood may just have the best avatar out there. LOL... Classic
  17. The guys site is: http://www.davidclowney87.com/home but the song that is on his site is, Im not a star. LOL No kidding, that's why we signed you. Classic!!
  18. Cannot see The Bills jumping into the Free Agent Pool again. Maybe they get a guy like Donnie Avery but I cannot see them being players in FA. That being said, I think that Avery would be a nice addition to our club. He would be a very nice #2 receiver here. As for the draft. I really like Riley Reiff in the first round. He is a solid tackle. I think he is better than Brian Bulaga coming out of Iowa. If it were up to me, I would do exactly the same thing as last year, devoting most of the picks for defense. Our D was putrid. Did it seem like every time an opponent dropped back to pass, they completed the pass. We have no outside pressure at all.
  19. Give the guy some tools and I'm sure he can fix this mess. (Offensive Tackle, Linebackers, Wide Receivers and another field stretching TE) Probably another DE as well. I seriuosly, think they need to be active in Free Agency. Colsten would help. For Sure.
  20. The time is approaching, I mean 93 is Old. The mind goes, the speech goes and by all accounts, the heart goes. I honestly don't know if Ralph is of sound mind and body, anymore. I too respect the man for building the franchise, but someone will have to take this team into the future. It won't be Ralph. The guy will leave a ton of money to his family. And I hope he does, but The people of Buffalo have traveled with Ralph the whole way. Buffalo first off needs to be able to say that this team will be here and secondly, we need to be a playoff caliber team. but the important thing is who will own this team? What are the options. His Daughter? I shrug to think that she can do anything with this team. A rich investor? In Buffalo? There are very little people who have the money to retain the team and have a new facility to keep them in. The state says they will help, but we can only hope that they step up to the plate on this. More than likely, they will have a small contribution. So we need a person with money. lots of money. A guy like Pagula? I doubt that he could even own three pro teams in Buffalo. Is it even legal? One can only hope. An investment group sounds logical. but will that team be here from WNY? Whom ever gets the crack at it, I sure hope they are smart, Football Smart that is. We need a winner here. We have been waiting for a winner for so long. 11 years is a hell of a long time. I too think that Ralph needs to sell. But who gets the team? That is the question.
  21. Aaron Curry might have been a good trade, but we do nothing at the trade deadline. Usually, it's money related, and Ralphy boy doesnt want to spend money this close to his birthday.
  22. Wow, Simply Wow. We finally have a tall TE that can catch
  23. Of course, A 53 Man Roster is made up of lots of Draft picks. and lots of people that are free agents. My whole point was that our Front office makes some weird decisions. We have made some doozies over the years. but it is nice to see that we got Barnett. We filled an area of need with a solid player. It's tough when you know it's a clear area of need and they think they can fill it with an undrafted player
