  1. Wow, I guess that Tomlinson, Jim Leonard, Plaxico Bur_ASS, Kris Jenkins, Damian Woody and Santonio Holmes were all drafted, by the Jets. All Starters. What's the nucleus for the Jets? D'Brichashaw Ferguson, Nick Mangold and Sanchez? Now you just sound like you have no idea what your talking about. Every good team out there gets a couple of solid Free Agents. Well, except for the Bills. We just picked up mediocre highly priced ones. Langston Walker, Derrick Dockery and so on. That is my whole point. Stupid Front office decisions.
  2. Go back to College buddy, You cant even spell it correctly. If your tired about reading posts from people who are pissed about the state of the Bills, than go back to settling on mediocre expectations. I think a lot of fans are tired of the Bills making dumb moves. We would like to see them put together a winner in the next twenty years. Your right, That's too much money for Poz, but finding someone that will excel in that position is not something to sit back on.
  3. After reading your post (13 Player) I see you are just another example of a guy who settles for mediocrity. Someone who feels that the draft will solve everything. Uhhh, No. Picking up servicable guys is needed. I wouldnt spend that type of money on Poz either, but having a plan to fill that spot is important, because let me say this clearly so you can understand. We got RUN all over last year. Our Run Defense was terrible. Absolutly, terrible. and in case you did not notice last year, our problems were not because of a QB. Fitz did a hell of a job last year and is poised to be even better this year. What kind of Franchise QB do you think is ready to come to Buffalo? and in the draft next year, if we get a qb. How long do you think it will take for him to lead this team. Your nuts. and just so you know. How long do you think it took Detroit to get that team. a while. Do you want to wait another 5 years to get to the playoffs. Sorry, Not me. Free Agency is not something to just sit back on and watch. You select a couple of solid guys and go after them. Target guys that fit your scheme. and position.
  4. I simply don't understand what Nix is doing about Free Agency. Our Division just got a whole lot stronger. The Patriots just grabbed a very solid receiver and now a d-lineman that will dominate. The Fins grabbed a pretty good RB, and The Jets well, they will throw some money out there for guys. I cant even say that we look cheap, cause we threw a ton of money at a punt returner. but we look out of sorts. Our biggest problem last year was stopping the run. and we don't go out and get a good inside LB? Just clueless, that's what we look like. Cant say that Dareus will stop every runner. He's good but he's not superman. I'm not one to pull the rip cord on our beloved Bills, but I really am tired of the weird decisions we make. Now we are moving Moats back to Inside LB. What? He was not good there. He is a very good OLB but I'm not so sure about inside. I just hate this approach. I've said it for years, You still have to get someone solid, not a waiver wire pick up. Sure someones one man's trash is another mans treasure, but We havent even picked up one of those guys yet. Heap would be good. That's a start. We won't do it. It's obvious, but we won't do it. I figured we would lose out on the O'lineman. but there are still a bunch of good ones out there. As for Linebacker, That should be the most pressing need. What do we do? Sit on our hands. We are good at that.
  5. This is the format for a Jerry Sullivan article. He could quite possibly be the most negative reporter in News history. Watson is bad but Sullivan is worse. Enough of the BS already. Quit Bit_chin already! That's all you do. Even though, I think we need to find a solution for beating The patriots and Jets, I find that it's wasted air by complaining about it daily. It will all change when Ralphy boy gives the reins to someone else. He's almost 100 It's bound to happen soon.
  6. It is not The NFL we have to worry about moving us to Toronto. It's Ralphs Daughter we have to worry about. Hopefully, The Bills will be playing in Buffalo for a long time. As for Gosselin; it's good to have someone confirm what I think we did have; A good Draft. Based on our division, for the amount of picks we had, I think we fared well. New England had a bunch of picks, and continued to stock pile for next year. I would give them an A-. They definatly trade up and down the board like a pro. I'm not looking forward to either Brady or Mallett lighting us up in the future. I would give the Bills a B+. other than the Chris White pick, I thought we did a great job. I saw nothing special from the Jets or The Fins.
  7. You are right on with that one. But the progress we will make with the defense will keep us in more games next year and maybe even win one or two. I still think our schedule is very tough, but by just having Dareus and Williams on the line together will be good. If Merriman pans out and our secondary makes improvements, we should at lease garner a Monday night game the following year.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81fa301a/article/pats-ability-to-maneuver-helps-produce-another-solid-class No love for us as usual. I thought we had a solid draft. I might have went for Tyrod Taylor instead if Chris White, but all in all I thought the Bills did well. Fox sports reports a A+. but Still no love from NFL.com Bucky Brooks none the less. What are your grades?
  9. Wow, Three passes is a good body of work
  10. Since Levi Brown did not show up on a field last year other than a couple series in Preseason. How do you know if he showed any promise. They cut him and brought him back. That is all we know about the guy. I think Devlin would be a very wise pick up. We need an extra arm for training camp. There it is. If he shows anything in training camp and Preseason. It's worth keeping him in the fold. Especially, since it will not cost us that much. He would be the perfect competition for Brown. Get a vet and Devlin. I dont know why they didn't pick a QB up in the late rounds to begin with. The small LB that we got in the 6th was not a good pick. He had a very low rating and looked slow on all the tape we have on him. We'll see in the future, but they screwed the pooch with that one. Tyrod Taylor was still on the board. That would be a nice QB for Chan Gailey to work with. Same height as vick. He's fast and has a lot of potential. Plus McElroy was there. Makes no sence.
  11. Mallet??? Never with the second pick. He runs like he has 100lb weights strapped to his legs
  12. Seriously? What has gabbert been able to do that is so Pheonominal? Carry the Mizzou. To what? To me, these two guys are not that far apart from each other. Ponders injury history might be a concern, but They both have good points and bad points about themselves. Gabbert came from a spread offense, so he did not take that many step drops as someone who is under center. He may be able to do it, but there is not that much tape on that. Ponder has been under center. A lot. He moves well and takes the drops well. 5 and 7 step drops. He gets out of pressure and has pretty good acuracy. Both guys are good leaders. Both can throw. Gabbert might have a better arm, but really, not that much better. Both are better than Cam Newton in my opinion. Cam may have the measurables, but He did not fare well at any of the drop back passing drills and his accuracy was not consistant. If Ponder checks out medically, than the difference between when these guys get picked will be in favor of Ponder. I do like Kapernick a little better than Ponder, but The second round is when we should get the QB. Take Fairly, or Daureus first then Ponder or Kapernick second. Gabbert is good, but the difference between him and Ponder is not that much to take him at 3. No way. If you want to hold his jock, than go a head. hold away.
  13. Washington, Minnesota, Miami, Seattle and possibly Cleveland could be after a QB in this draft. Any one of these teams can trade up to get a QB a head of our pick. Seattle probably would not do that since they lost a pick to us for the Lynch trade. but the others could. I do see Minnestoa as a team to watch out for. I would hate to see Miami move a head of our pick to get a QB. They have been terrible at evaluating QB's over the years, but They might be desperate enough to move up this year. Minnesota is not sold on Travereus Jackson. They I think would be the most obvious choice of teams on the move. They need a QB just as bad as we do. I do hope that we go D-Line first any way, but I hope all the good QBs are not gone. I like Kapernick out of Nevada. Ponder is good and I like the TCU QB too. If we get one of them, I hope we dont have to grab one in the second, because I think thats early for them, but if they are all getting picked up, we will need to get a good one. I dont want a guy like Devlin. Thats like getting another 3rd string QB
  14. Carson Palmer was a one year wonder until he got hurt. He has done nothing in the last couple of years. I wouldn't give up a pick for him. but I'd give up something that I did not value like maybe, Whitner. Palmer can back up Fitz this time
  15. If you have been paying any attention to the combine, You will know that when teams interviewed Gabbert, he blew them away with football knowledge. He was not on a great team, but he is a talent, All the tape on him proves that. Yes his name sounds gay, but this guy is a good football player. He will not be a bust, Cam Newton is Athletic, and has good mechanics, but so was Losman coming out of college. We need a smart guy and a talented player. All the talk about losman coming out of college was that he was cocky too. Newton sounds a bit cocky. Entertainer and Icon? what a fool. That wont fly here in Buffalo. We will eat him up ounce he falters. It's what happens in Buffalo. Play it safe and draft a good D-Linman.
  16. I really do hope that The Bills go Defensive Line first. Either Bowers, Fairly, Dareaus, Whomever is there out of the three. Any one of them will help our line. With losing Stroud, I still feel that Dareaus is the better run stopper. Two things we have been lacking for many years. Stopping the run and A good Defensive End. I think they get one of them first, Lets just hope they get the pick right. If we get Cam Newton, I will support it, but I think that guy will be under a microscope more so than any QB in the draft. If he does not pan out We will be set back yet again. Throw him in the trash heap, like former busts; Mike Williams, Losman, Maybin. The list keeps growing. We need to get this one right. Get the D-lineman first than Locker in the second. If Locker is not there, than Akeem Ayrers should be. Why do I feel every year that Our picks are dissapointing. I do think that Locker is the right guy for this team. I would not get him with the three pick, but we should get him with the second. If Minnesota remains interested in him, than Maybe package that extra 4th round pick to move up with another first round pick ahead of Minnesota. if not, than I would be happy with Ayers. Then it's on to the next QB. Ponder, Dalton, or Kapernick. The anticipation is killing me.
  17. Wow there was talk a while back that a trade would come together: AJ Hawk for Marshawn lynch. He might be worth picking up now. His contract was ridiculous with the pack, but the Bills would not have to pay that kind of money. If he doesnt have to carry the team and just focus on his position, He can still very well be a good player. I would go after him now, then concentrate on the D-line. Any thoughts out there?
  18. Love the first three picks. Ponder might slide to the 4th round. He is more of a west coast Offense fit though. If Stocker slides to the third, I would grab him in a heartbeat. Mallett could slide to the fourth. and if you wait on the QB, this one might slide. He did not handle the media too well. They almost baited him to see how he would handle the pressure. but He got glowing reviews as a passer. Tony Pauline of SI.com stated that he out performed most of the competition. It's a crap shoot with him. He has almost zero mobility. He would be a good QB with a good line, but he would be a sitting duck here. Unless we upgrade our OL signifigantly. Plus, he is a bit immature, I probably would pass on him. Colin Kaepernick looked pretty good and Locker looked good at the combine. Maybe Locker in the second is a better fit. Don't know if he makes it or not, but He is more apt to lead an offense like ours than someone who has character issues.
  19. If we get Ponder or Dalton, I hope it's in the 3rd or fourth rounds. They both played in the Senior game under Gaily, so there is familiarity there. Ponder had a great game. I was watching NFL.com today and saw some highlights of Tom Brady at his combine performance. Wow he looked young. Plus he did not look like he could run or throw that well. Thats why he went late., but who could have predicted that scrauny runt would dominate the Bills for so many years. I hope whatever QB we get pans out and slaps the crap out of everyone else in the division for years to come. I dont care who we get as long as that happens.
  20. Typically, somewhere in the first Round there is a trade. Not saying I would mind if the Bills traded out of the slot, but I can not see anyone gunning to get our pick. And The Bills are not smart enough to do so. I do think there are three positions that teams will target; Defensive End, Defensive Tackle & Cornerback. This draft class is deep on The D-Line, so I see people at the bottom of the first round seeing where these guys fall. The opportunity to jump up comes when these guys start flying off the board. I can see someone moving up because of this. As for DT. Fairly & Dareus(spelling?)are going in the first round early, so teams might try and get them before they are gone. As for CB's There are only two solid first rounders. Peterson is a talent, and should also be nabbed early, that leaves only Prince Aku-mamma? Who calls their kid Prince. Really? but he will be gone no later than Dallas. I'm just saying, I think there might be a bunch of Trades this year, which is good. It always makes for an entertaining draft. I just prey that the Bills take one of these positions, because most of the good D Positions will be picked over. I would love it if they grabbed either Bowers, Fairly, Daureus, Quinn or Von Miller. Please stay away from QB in the first. you can get a solid QB in the second. Either, Mallet, Locker, Ponder, or Daulton will be there. You always see a good QB slide. Look at last year. I think we should get Locker in the second. That would be a great first two picks: Fairly and Locker. How perfect. but then again this is Buffalo. They will probably pick WR first and a no name CB second. Ughh. I have not been happy about a First round pick since Nate Clements. That was a ways back. too long ago.
  21. I actually do think we have gaping holes in some areas and far less needs in other areas. We are pretty solid in the secondary. If we need to fill those spots why cant we use later draft picks here. We need lots of help on the D-Line. We need one or two line backers, maybe another strong safety. I would say that thats it for Def. On The O- We need better Lineman, (LT) Multiple Lineman. We are still weak here. D-Bell is nothing more than a back-up. another TE. A good one. And a QB of the future. Our Run Defense was terrible this year you can fix that with a good draft and Free Agency. You have to get that first pick right. That is a pick that you cannot mess up. The Bills have crapped the bed when it came to that pick for years now. How did you feel when we drafted Whitner at 8? Well, I was pissed, and for good reason. No more BPA, unless it's our areas of need.
  22. Last Time we drafted because of luxury we got Spiller. Neither way sounds good. Of Course, it will be a year or two behind a good line that will help Spiller. The Maybin pick was terrible I agree. I was so hoping we would grab Orakpo, but that is my usual feeling when I hear who the Bills pick in the first round. So this is my thinking. We need a D-Line and an O-Line, so We will pick a CB now. Figures.
  23. Stroud is getting up there in age. We need to ad a Vince Wilfork Clone. Dareus is that. Or Farley
  24. I do think that Farley will be picked first or second, That will open up the spot for Dareus. I just prey we don't pick the LSU CB. That would suck. We need a good run stuffer. Dareus is solid. I have to disagree on the QB spot. I think all the talk about Malletts mobility will drop him to the second round. but look at Sanchez, Brady, Matt Ryan. They are not Burners, but have all the rest of the tools. If Mallett or Locker slip to the second I would grab either one of them in a heartbeat. Casey Matthews would be a great pick up in the third, but he will be gone.
  25. I am surprised Seattle has not made a decent enough offer yet.
