  1. He would be a great addition to our Defense. But the powers that be will not get the job done. Buddy Nix will not sign him. He's too busy looking at Geno Smith; you know the guy that the Jags will draft in the first round.
  2. nix is supposed to work with him or be in position to help the cap situation by bringing in talent to offset any loss of talent
  3. . True, but going forward from that point. You had to have a contingency plan. Because, the cap space that was put in place was bad. Hey, I liked Fitz too, but you always make sure you do not handicap yourself by not at least backing yourself up. We should have got a QB last draft for this move to not be as bad as they let it get to. That's on Nix.
  4. The only thing I lost faith in is Buddy Nix. Daggumit. He is a likeable guy, but he looks like such a tool regarding the QB situation. To pin all your plans on this QB draft class. No decent Free Agent Qbs. Now letting Fitzy go the way that he did. He's complaining on why he had to pay on that contract. HELLO. You gave him that contract you wanker. I hope Whaley takes over sooner than later. Now I see nix moving up and losing a 3rd rounder for Geno Smith. Third round picks are not cheap. You get good players there. I say you sit pat at 8 either draft Dion Jordan or O lineman. Grab best available QB in second. Typically, the Qbs fall. I think Barkley will be there. He could slide if Geno smith goes to Arizona. If not than I'd be ok with ej manual or Glennon in the second
  5. We need linebackers. He could do better than Merriman. That is for sure
  6. Terribly immature. I hold out hope for him, but he just doesn't get it. Jerry Rice was the best Wr in the game and he was one of the best workout warriors. It goes hand in hand. Stevie's perception is not good at the moment. I do hope Marronne makes an example out of him. He just needs to get his act together. Maybe if he worked out he would not have the nagging injuries. I bet if he had some actual competition he would take it seriously. I bet if Dwayne Bowe was on the team, He would not want to be considered the second WR.
  7. When did you expect Jerry's negative articles to start hitting the newsstands? Maybe not on the Head coaching selection, but his negativity is like a rash. You may not scratch right away, but you will eventually get to it.
  8. At the end of the day, We need a QB and a guy that can bring the QB along. and some LB's and a guy that can bring them along as well
  9. Not sure why those teams did not decide on a coach. but If a team believes in the old adage; "We live and die by our coach", than maybe they are doing everything in their power to make that decision easier. Who knows? I completely agree with what Dr. Tooth said about It's crazy to hire a head coach just because he can help the QB. There are more people on the team. One guy like the QB should not matter in this, but than again. The Bills have never been that way, so how can we still say that our train of thought is correct. Trestman has like 17 years NFL coaching experience and Head coaching experience in the CFL. The guy is a good coach, but not until now has he gotten the chance to be a HC in the NFL. Not sure why, but he has the tools to help 52 guys on the Chicago team.
  10. The day before, The Bills selected Doug Marronne., I called into WGR to get in on the coaching discussion. The topic was; Would you pick Marronne over guys like Lovie Smith and Ken Whizenhunt? Now, I would not go the Marronne rout. I wanted Lovie, and who knows what will happen. Only time will tell if the decision to hire Marronne works out, but in my opinion. I said I would go with someone who has more NFL coaching experience. I said that I would even take a guy like Marc Tressman before I would take Marronne. And like typical GR fashion, they laughed it off and said that the guy is out of it and he shouldn't be in the coaching conversation. They even said that they would not consider the guy 4 years ago. I am sure most people could understand why I feel that Schoop is a total Dolt. I actually, feel the guy is unprofessional and such a condescending jackass. Hey Jackass, Chicago just hired him to be Lovies replacement. I really do hope that he succeeds. because it's more validation that you are a complete tool. I really wish we had better sports radio guys at GR. I like Howard Simon and Joe Buscaglia, but guys like Schoop and his stuttering side kick; Bulldog. We can do better can't we? The decision to hire Marronne, may work out too, but The Bills took a huge risk in a guy that never called his own plays. Now the guy calling offensive plays has zero NFL play calling history. Yes, they both helped bring back Syracuce football. but I just think that if you give the guys the keys to the porsche, you don't give them to a guy who's never been in a big race before. Especially since he's going against guys like Bellicheat and Rex Ryan. That's all I am trying to say here. I hope it does work out. We in Buffalo are really pulling for a winner. It's just frustrating that guys like Schoop and Bullcrap, don't see the other side of the coin. I really do hope that Tressman succeeds in Chi-Town. Not, just to validate my point, but to show you that good decision makers can be on the outside looking in. The CFL is just that, but the guy has a ton of NFL coaching experience. Plus he won a couple of Grey Cups.
  11. I agree. We do not yet have the all the LB's for this. Bradem, may work with it, but Moats? two guys I would retain right away would be Byrd and Merriman. Holy crap. Merriman has to be licking his chops. If his speed is there he will be a perfect fit. but the interior LB's and the DB's have to be in place.
  12. He was given the duties, because Tom Clements was too much of a tard to game plan, so He got it on default. AVP, is due. Plus, He was pretty good when he filled in, and did a good job in Tampa. Why wouldn't you want him? Ironically Clements has been mentioned as a HC candidate. LOL. Just refer all judgement to his coaching career in Buffalo.
  13. That's great than. Carmichael would be a good pick up. Still like AVP. The staff he was on with the Bills sucked, but I thought he was good enough to be there. Now with some more coaching under his belt plus working with McCarthy, he could work out.
  14. More realistically, Alex Van Pelt has a better chance of becoming our OC. Would run a West Coast type system. in line with Maronne's system. Ted Cottrell is way past his prime. Is the guy even coaching anymore? Don't know. The guy whom I think would be a good DC here would be Joe Vitt. I think Carmichel would be great, but if you were going to be a OC in either NO or the Buff, I can't see him wanting to leave NO. Vitt yes, because it's a promotion, but Carmichel would not move laterally. I would be intrigued by AVP. I understand he is a good young up and coming coach in this league.
  15. I'd say getting rid of the coaching staff and not letting Ralph make football decisions anymore, is considered something.
  16. So why don't you call him up on the phone and ask him to to be our Defensive Coordinator. I'm sure this would be a much better gig than Houston. Yes his defense was good, his defensive players are good. but his head coaching abilities are not. So why would we bring him on as a head coach? Why wouldn't we Bring Back Kelly. He would run the organization better than The schleps that have been running it for the last 13 years.
  17. It's painfully, obvious that you do not know Buffalo. It's a pathetic observation. Wade is a good D-C, but not a good HC
  18. Even though, I may not agree with the coaching candidate, the one coach I could see the Bills going after would be Lovie Smith. The reason, The Bills made a huge investment in Mario Williams. He is a 4-3 player and does not bode well for a 3-4 system coach. We have a 4-3 and need to have continuity there. We need to stay with the 4-3. Going in another direction could be disaster. Lovie is a 4-3 guy and Rod Maranelli would be his DC. I think The Bills seriously concidered him before he took over in Chicago. We may not get a Big Name Coach. But this could be the biggest name we can find. Me personally, I like the idea of John Gruden. I cannot see the Bills landing him, but I think he is the type of guy that would do everything and anything to make them successful. He would want to have final say in players, so Nix may or may not mesh. Who knows. It's true that we filter through coaches like water, making it crazy for a coach to feel secure here. So why would anyone want this job? Money. Let's throw the money and GM responsibilities to Gruden
  19. Ohh sure Lesean McCoy does not get the ball in Philly., this info you are posting is pure rubbish.
  20. Honestly, I think that TO is better than Donald Jones. I wouldn't sign him back in a million years, but he is better than Jones.
