  1. The article stated that " It has been well documented that Mario has promoted safe and legal firearm possession.” If that is the case, then this is more of the hysteria over guns that has taken over the country(or part of the country). Proper use and safety of said guns is what is sounds like he is doing. What we and the NFL should worry about is the irresponsible gun owners and the illegal gun possession types that are in the league.
  2. From the article: "they are better at disrupting plays rather than stuffing the run" I think the quote above is part of the reason we sucked so badly in run d. They are trying to disrupt the offense and not filling lanes or taking on assignments. That could be a wanny problem and not something inherit in the play of these 2 d linemen.
  3. This concerns me also. If we are going to use the 3-4 more this year, it would seem we need more depth here, as I'm not even sure without looking at the depth chart who would back those guys up if one is injured.
  4. The only rubbish was you're post....he has a reputation of disregarding the run and becoming pass happy. I have watched the Eagles for years now (eldest son is a fan) and he DOES in fact do this. Just because you are ignorant of the facts proves you shouldn't have posted on this topic.
  5. Andy Reid's name has already started being thrown around as a coach Bills fans want to be the next hc. Well, he has a bad track record with time management AND his love of the passing game (almost forgetting the running game). Seems we just got rid of a coach that does those, why would we want a coach who is the same in that respect. Bills fans would B word about his time management and forgoing the run, just as we bitched about Gailey's lack of time management and pass happy offense.
  6. If frogs had wings they wouldn't bump their ass on cobble rocks now would they? IF, IF, IF.....
  7. Always a sarcastic, yet interesting way to get your idea across, always enjoy them, eball.
  8. I am sitting here laughing my arse off reading these replies, please keep them coming. Dare I say it...is he related to Chuck Norris?
  9. I have to agree with Bill, for years we ignored the line for undersized receivers, running backs and safties/cornerbacks. The penalty for ignoring the line all those years was the non-playoff streak continuing. NOW, as Buddy has built a somewhat reasonable line (I know, Buddy wasn't in charge of the 2009 draft), he deems a new contract for our best o-lineman as the priority here, not a safety first, but the LINE. Build from the inside out to win, I say.
  10. This is the worst loss to me because the Bills had it won until the refs gave it to the patsies, but I have seen many over the years. The Bills indeed did stop them on 4th down on what would have been a game ending play by the defense. The replay clearly shows the patsie receiver (name not worth remembering, sorry) was out of bounds on the 4th down pass attempt. If you look at a replay, the receiver was short of a first down AND he was even out past the white marker on the sideline when he caught the ball!!@!@ Andre Reed heard a ref say "give it to them" and they did. Then on a hail mary into the end zone, with everyone pushing and shoving on both sides, they call a pass interference penalty on Henry Jones (?). First and goal, touchdown. The Bills walked off the field in protest before the extra point and vinatari ran it in for 2 points. Bullsh!t calls on a game the Bills had won.
  11. Very nervous, I so hope he makes it. Very deserving imho, he has the stats and the heart and belongs with Jim in the hall (referring to qb/receiver combo).
  12. From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_New_England_Patriots (I know...a patsies viewpoint, but I had a hard time finding information about this game). Bledsoe, playing with a broken finger, engineered late 4th-quarter comebacks against the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills to save the season. The Bills game was especially controversial, as the game was prolonged due to a series of questionable calls. With under a minute to go and down by four points, the Patriots engineered a long drive. However, the Buffalo defense appeared to stop the Patriots on 4th down with a juggled catch out of bounds. The referee needed to determine whether receiver Shawn Jefferson was inbounds, caught the ball, and achieved first down yardage. The referee on the sideline signaled first down after a conference with other officials. Several Bills claimed one said "just give it to them" (referring to first down yardage) in the huddle. Television instant replays showed that he was short of first down yardage, but the NFL had discontinued use of instant replay the previous season. This was followed by a questionable pass interference call made in the end zone on what would have been the game's final play. Bledsoe hit Ben Coates for a touchdown on the final untimed play of the game. In protest, the Bills left the field and let the Patriots kicker Adam Vinateri walk in for a meaningless two-point conversion. Doug Flutie, then the Bills' quarterback, later quipped "They gave them the game, we figured we might as well give them the extra point.” I watched that game and remember the refs giving it to them. I remember Andre Reed saying after the game "I heard the ref say "just give it to them"". The most egregious referee mistake I have ever seen. Anyone else remember the game?
  13. I had the same idea, it seems a lot like '68 and '84 to me, too. Except the Bills of those years didn't tease us with a good start like this team did, they just sucked from the beginning of the season. Regression isn't fun and being a Bills' fan for so long without any joy is very frustrating.
