NFL Week 10 - Vikings at Bills post game thread
Talley56 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was at the game yesterday. The heartbreak and frustration aside, I was surprised by how many Vikings fans were there and pretty bold about the Vikings despite being the road team. -
Remembering 2003 when a very mediocre-to-bad Buffalo slaughtered New England in week 1 31-0. Couple weeks later, NE lost to lowly Washington. After all that, NE was practically unbeatable the rest of the year, even against some of the better teams like Indy, Philly, and Tennessee.

Just wait until Hines runs him over.

The Bills won last night because.... (karma reasons only)

They kept their helmets on after scoring touchdowns. -
No real upsets today. You could maybe argue Saints over Raiders but even that was a pretty minor one. Edit: Maybe Washington over Indy

Well, admittedly, I did pick the Bucs over Ravens so I was wrong there. I'll try again, Browns over Bengals. Going to be tough for Cincy without Chase.

Pretty sweet that the Bills will be getting an NFC South team in Buffalo next year.

Fittingly, the TNF game next Thursday (11/3) will be Eagles/Texans. -

Next week: Giants @ Seahawks. Who would have pegged that as a big game before the season started? -

Chiefs score 6 TDs and they can't give one to Kelce on national Tight Ends day? -
I have to question the decision, on the last run play before the Giants kicked the field goal, to run the ball towards the sidelines. That took it from an almost sure fire win to a very near gut-wrenching loss. I haven't actually seen the play, just following the play-by-play online and the comments, so maybe there was some legitimate reason that I can't think of but I can't imagine that's the case. That being said, wins are wins, and 6-1 is 6-1. Good on him.

No Bills this weekend, but we can watch a game featuring Brian Daboll and Josh Allen. -
He didn't want to draw too much attention to himself and end up getting drafted first overall by the winless Browns.

NFL Week 6 - Bills victorious!!!! Over Chiefs - post game thread
Talley56 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Remember last week when everyone kept wondering what was wrong with the Steelers for getting beaten so badly by the Bills? They went and beat Tampa yesterday. As I recall, the same questions swirled around how bad Tennessee looked when Buffalo stomped them and they've won three straight since then. Maybe those teams weren't bad, maybe the Bills are just that freaking good.- 940 replies

I'm more upset by how low our draft picks have been over the last few years. We used to draft so high but lately the NFL won't even let us pick in the top 20.

I was driving home from the game all evening/night yesterday so I just now got to see the "roughing" call on Brady. Face it, much like we had to deal with so many times against Brady (including last year's game at Tampa) when you play against Tom you play against the refs as well.

For a second there I thought this was going to be about a new Wegman's sub called "the Josh Allen". I wonder what that would include, cantaloupe?

While there are a lot of Ravens fans (of course) in the Baltimore/MD area, there are also a lot of fans of other teams in the area for two reasons: 1. Being so close to DC a lot of people move there for jobs, particularly government jobs. 2. Since the Ravens are still a fairly new team a lot of people who grew up in the area had loyalties to other fan bases (Bills included) and just stuck by who they were rooting for even after the Ravens moved to Baltimore.

I might be tempted to add Bud Grant in somewhere but admittedly the lack of a football championship might make him a tougher case.
