If all goes well, February 12, 2023 could be the night Western New York and all of us Bills fans have longed for.

Washington is favored, at least from what I've seen. So, ultimately, it is an upset. But, admittedly, not a very bold upset to pick. Given what the Steelers did to us in week 1 last year I could maybe see them doing the same to Cincy in week 1 this year but I'm just not too confident they will.

Oh crud, I was wondering why I couldn't get in but, there's a maximum? Oh well, guess I'm out before the season starts instead of the usual week 2.

If Hopkins was playing, I'd say Arizona over KC. But, I'll go with Jags over Washington.

I'm almost wondering if the poll should be by what week will the Bills clinch the division? Or am I getting too far ahead of myself?

This year, New England goes into week 1 at Miami when their last game was an epic whoopin in Buffalo. When the Fins went into New England in week 1 last year their last game had been an epic whoopin in Buffalo and they came out and beat NE. NE turns the table and wins this time. I'd rather see Miami win, and ultimately I think they will, but what the heck, I'll call the upset.

This is the last weekend without football that matters until mid/late February. Only a few college games next weekend but I'll take it.

Dang it Keenum, they should really consider starting Allen when the regular season begins.

As disappointing as "13 seconds" was, that win over NE will forever be one of the most satisfying wins in Bills history. Back in High School football, I remember the days of Varsity scrimmaging JV and it was just like Varsity pummeling the JV team who just wasn't strong enough yet to be able to compete with the upper classman and therefore were physically incapable of keeping up with the Varsity team. That's what the Bills/Pats playoff game seemed like.

The super bowl halftime show was way overrated (nothing beats U2 from 20 years ago). Also, there's nothing wrong with Christmas decorations and music before Thanksgiving.

I've always wondered if the NFL could just do all the bye weeks in the middle of the season. Like half the league's bye is week 9, the other half week 10. Or, if that would leave too few games during those weeks, maybe spread it out among weeks 8-10 (10 byes for two of those weeks, 12 for the other). It seems like a no-brainer to at least consider but I'm not sure if the NFL has thought about it (tried googling it really quick, didn't see anything). There could be downsides that I'm not thinking of but overall all teams would pretty much have a bye right in the middle of the season. It would mean fewer games during those few bye weeks but you'd still have some to watch. Even during the week of 12 bye teams, you'd have 10 games amongst the 20 who are playing, which gives you a TNF, SNF, and MNF game with 7 other games to spread out among Sunday at 1:00 and 4:00.

For anyone who follows baseball, the longest active playoff drought in North American sports ever since Dalton hit Boyd with that incredible TD pass has been the Seattle Mariners. They are still behind in the WC race but surging hard. Next in line would be the Sacramento Kings.
