I remember catching parts of the first Eagles/Giants game back in week 11 on a side TV while watching the Jets/Bills game. It seemed like the Eagles were just moving and scoring on the Giants almost as if the Giants (a playoff team) were literally physically incapable of being able of competing with the Eagles in any way. Then, the Eagles did it again to them last weekend. They've only lost one game when Hurts played. As long as he stays healthy, as good as Hurts is, and with the talent around him, it almost seems like they are unbeatable.

Franchise in trouble- Josh Allen has regressed
Talley56 replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
If it helps, here's a little reminder that might make us feel better about about Allen and this team's future. I'm not saying Allen is as good as Peyton Manning but Manning was drafted exactly 20 years before Allen (Manning: 1998 Allen: 2018). So, where was Peyton this time 20 years ago? He was coming off of this bludgeoning: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200301040nyj.htm. That Jets team was good but not on the level of this year's Bengals IMO. Peyton threw 19 INTs that year (5 more than Allen this year) and Peyton still hadn't even won a playoff game yet. I think we are on pace for a better future with Allen than it may seem like right now. I'm hopeful. -
Prime time National and International TV games 2023
Talley56 replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall
If any of the remaining teams aside from the 49ers end up winning the Super Bowl we could get the primetime opener again. Though they probably won't put us in that game and I honestly don't see them putting us on Thanksgiving again either. I'm thinking our primetime games will be: SNF @Bengals TNF Jaguars (this one may be a reach, perhaps more likely to be at Eagles or Chargers) MNF Cowboys SNF @Chiefs MNF Dolphins -
13 Seconds Will Sting for a While Longer...
Talley56 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gotta be honest, and I'm sure I'll get down vote/eyeroll, etc emojis for this but I feel like it needs to be said. If yesterday's result tells me anything it's that I am not as certain we definitely would have made the Superbowl if we had held off the Chiefs in those 13 seconds and won. Not a knock on Allen or the rest of the team, but Burrow is good. Really good. -
Who are you rooting for next week? Cincy or KC?
Talley56 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess the goodwill that Cincinnati built up amongst our fan base over the years (ending the drought, helping us through the Hamlin situation) was destroyed last night? I honestly wouldn't mind seeing them win it all. Then again, if they win next week, then lose the SB, they will join us and Minnesota in the 0-4 club. -
I said all offseason watch out for the Bengals. They really were the team that scared me most with Hill leaving KC. I kept hearing that last year was a "fluke", but, I'm sorry, I think they really are legit and going to be another tough team to get through for years to come right along side KC. Not saying we can't eventually get through but they are the real deal.

Glad the Giants won but more so happy for Daboll. I don't have anything against the Vikings even thought they beat the Bills.
-
That was the Giants’ first playoff win since beating NE in the Super Bowl. They are back I guess.

Happy for Daboll

I am 4-0 in my wild card weekend picks so far.

Seems Lovie knew what he was doing last week after all.

Much like Buffalo/NE the tides have turned in this division rival.
-
It would be kind of fitting for the Bills to win the championship game in the city where they played their last Super Bowl in order to finally make it back to the big game.
-
If we win the Super Bowl, and tradition holds to where we host the Thursday night opener, I'm thinking we will most likely get Dallas or Miami. Maybe Tampa if you know who is still there.

NFL Week #18 - Around the NFL - Sunday Edition
Talley56 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kind of hope GB makes it. I think, the way they are playing right now, they could possibly put up a fight with SF. Seattle would get slaughtered. -

Poor Lions. They fought hard in the 2nd half of the season. But they can still get the satisfaction of knocking out GB. -

Win one for Damar -
If there is anything to be encouraged by it is the support the Bills and Hamlin have received from fans/players of other teams, particularly rivals of the Bills. It’s nice to see others who know when it’s time to take the uniforms off and ban together as humans to care about the health and safety of an individual. I’m sure there are some out there who have made insensitive remarks but, overall, from what I have seen, the reactions have been mostly supportive.

Seems like it would have been smarter to make Lions/Packers the Saturday Night game and Titans/Jaguars the Sunday Night game. I know the Lions/Packers will be meaningful no matter what but if the Seahawks win the Lions will be out and just playing spoiler. Would have been better to show that game on primetime Saturday when you know for sure the Lions will still be alive in the playoff race.

The Jests; from 7-4 to 7-9. An epic collapse
Talley56 replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Only 5 more seasons of missing the playoffs for them to catch the Bills' drought. Can they do it? They do get the privilege of a 7th spot to try to slip in on that we didn't have. -
Looks like the Ravens are going to be huge Bills fans tomorrow night.
