  1. He was, after all, a long snapper at Wesleyan University.......was he not?
  2. What does that actually say? Their WR corps has been mostly total shite since they broke up the explosive 2002 group when trading Peerless Price. The league has changed A LOT since then. It's about their positioning relative to the rest of the league. There are WR corps around the league with multiple superstar WR options AND also then depth to boot. The Bills aren't one of those. Stef Diggs is their best WR since Andre Reed...........but the Bills WR corps as a unit are Steffy Diggs and the Pipps. A star and a bunch of harmonized one-notes picked to run a Patriots style offense. Not much speed, very little RAC ability. Also they are perilously thin at TE and they have no receiving threat out of the backfield. IMO the best WR corps they have had since Goodell legislated hitting out of the passing game(2010) is the one they started the season with last year. Healthier, younger and more diverse because they had more speed.
  3. Bills fans overrate the quality of this WR corps. Look around the league. More WR talent everywhere than there has ever been. The Bills are always a Stefon Diggs injury from being a mediocre or worse WR corps because they otherwise lack explosive qualities.
  4. Agree that it can take years to develop pass rushers. That wasn't my point. You can't simply assume that young veterans who haven't produced in multiple seasons will get MUCH better at key positions. They would likely want to have proven insurance......someone they can trust make plays and be that 55%-60% guy in the instance of this DE rotation.
  5. I read a couple articles a few days ago and my prevailing thought was maybe he lost his cool and just ditched her out in the middle of nowhere. Now it appears she is probably dead so he doesn't want to say anything rather than admit that he abandoned her and deal with the backlash.
  6. They have actually gotten younger the past couple seasons..........McBeane's rosters have always been among the league's oldest. Whether they get any younger or not probably depends on the highly invested-in young players they have taking another step. If, for instance, AJ Epenesa keeps playing like he only deserves 40% of the snaps instead of 60% then they might need to keep (or buy) a veteran pass rusher etc......if he's a beast they can take a chance on a younger player to rotate with him.
  7. What made me so inclined have little tolerance for self loathing types like yourself? I guess a good upbringing, great life-long friendships, a happy marriage, large family of great kids, perspective and experience gained from hard work, loyalty and generosity? The first step of getting out of your wallow is to want to. But in the meantime keep trying to get everyone else to change instead........good luck with that.
  8. See what I mean.........just searching for random insults to dehumanize someone who just has no tolerance for your whining about a resilient and loyal fanbase. "Oh poor me........ I can't go to the playoff games because I gave up my season tickets in frustration when Sean McDermott was hired😢.....and also because somehow after growing up in WNY and after 27 years of having seasons I also don't have any friends who can help me out". Why do you think people would empathize with you for that? Just maybe not having tickets and friends or being able to deal with TSW after a loss is on you.
  9. Follow my advice.........stop letting a negative result ruin your subsequent week (or offseason). You've literally laid your hyper-sensitivity bare on here SO many times over the years that there is no going back........we know. Subsequently pretending that your issue is that posters on TSW are just causing you boredom or wasting your time discussing perceived "negative" subjects is a thinly veiled attempt at shouting down things you do not want to hear. Trying to de-humanize me is a typical reaction from someone trying to avoid dealing with their own human issues. There are plenty of people with your emotional and/or substance problems.........if you don't want to do something about them that's fine but don't expect to not get called out for the behavior. That's nice of you to not call out @eball...........but he literally started a thread about it. Talk about a waste of time and trash to sift thru.........people are always going to have criticisms of the team when they lose anything but a meaningless game.........this thread is complaining for the sake of complaining.
  10. And Everson Pereira now has 13 HR in 97 AB in A+ and Randy Vasquez has been having a great rise as a RHP of late(jumping from nowhere to Double A in one season).........glad they weren't included in that Gallo trade.
  11. No there are a lot of people like you that are an emotional mess after a loss. If you learn how to turn the page quickly on losses then discussing things like the corrective actions the team could/should make isn't so painful...........you can try to explain it another way but it's not boredom that keeps you away it's not being able to process the defeat in a healthy manner. Result based fandom is why you regrettably gave up your season tickets..........it's not the way to "fan" if you don't intend to quit cold turkey.
  12. Better play in A NUMBER of areas wins that game..............not just the OL. As I said that game was one of the greatest homefield advantages I've ever seen at that stadium...........it took A LOT of failure on the Bills end to wind up losing that game.
  13. It looks like you've posted 11K times in the short time you've been here..........I might have had back and forth with you 3 times? So check your math. My point is that you are spamming the main board with hollow takes that are no better than "thumbs up/thumbs down" reaction level. That's what they are there for. Now if you up your bot-level post game maybe you can join a circle ***** the wall and make some friends you can also connect on Facebook with!.........but on the main board the objective should be advancing football discussion, not what you do.
  14. Yeah the people who think that the failure was all about the pressure put on Allen are incorrect..........the Steelers accurately predicted how they could confuse Josh Allen. @HappyDays was arguing with me about it yesterday wrt a play where the safety totally abandoned Sanders and Allen never looked......he locked on the receivers they expected him to. The pressure was significant but as Cynthia Frelund on the Bills preseason broadcast mentioned recently.......Josh typically destroys teams when they pressure him.........the Steelers really had Daboll and Allen pegged.
  15. They've won 5 championships in that span. And yes, the Yanks have won 16 titles in 29 years before. But to put those 5 in perspective.........in MLB only the Cardinals have won more than 5 WS titles in any 29 year stretch.......they did it 6 times from from 20's-40's.
  16. The Yankees (82-64) clinched their 29th straight winning season tonight. The 1926-1964 Yanks hold the major north american sports record with 39 straight winning seasons. Montreal Canadiens hold the #2 all-time spot with 32 straight from 1952-1984.........Yanks should pass the Habs in 25' and have two streaks totaling 72 consecutive winning years in a 100 year span.
  17. You don't realize this..........but your opinion is irrelevant on this forum.........because it is devoid of any substance. Just fishing for approval won't change that.
  18. I can't believe I am having to hear "the OL was bad......so nothing OC could do to notably address OL struggles". The OL being bad and the OC not keeping a RB in and/or running the ball or using play action do not belong categorized separately. If they don't allow a punt block for a TD was the OL just too bad for them to win? It was a close enough game that not making REASONABLE if not OBVIOUS adjustments is damning.
  19. Looking off the safety in 3 seconds or less is impossible. Mmmkay. You're just wrong.
  20. I think McDermott is better equipped to avoid the ups and downs that the half-cocked River Boat Ron Rivera had............but there should be concern about the hands-off, passive personnel approach when it came to improving the team during the offseason. Beane nailed the Allen pick but they have squandered so much money on bad-to-middling moves in pro personnel and have a pretty low slugging % in the draft........lot's of singles.......not enough HR's.......so they really need to coach it up. And they didn't do that Sunday. They got out-coached by an old-hat Steelers staff that they should have had memorized by now. If you aren't getting better.........
  21. Even if they played that poorly against the Chiefs or Bucs.......in one of the greatest homefield advantages in team history......... it would be concerning. Even today Vegas still expects the Steelers to finish 3rd in their division. Let's not get carried away with the strength of the opponent.......the Bills beat themselves.........they didn't take what the defense gave them, they got out-coached by A LOT(especially in the second half) and they failed to generate a turnover and lost that battle.
  22. You are the guy who offers no football discussion on a football message board.............just snark and other stupid comments that you could make ANYWHERE: John Wawrow: "my favorite noodle rock band just put out a disappointing album" MJS: "Crazy overreaction". That kind of douchebot like posting contributes nothing to the forum.
  23. Are you familiar with the term "be the hammer not the nail"?............Allen was the nail Sunday. This offense works under the assumptions that the QB will make the right adjustment and manipulate the defense to his advantage........you don't give Joe-1st-read 4 and 5 receiver patterns to digest. Allen got worked on that play.......if he intends to keep the safety out of the equation on that side of the field then he needs to HOLD THE SAFETY..........not stare down his intended target. It was a QB fail. Pressure hurt but TRY to remember that Allen was one of the very best QB's in the NFL under pressure last season..........he made better plays and choices than that most of last season.
  24. No a crazy overreaction would be saying they are going to go 3-14. People are concerned after the loss.........it was a bad performance under ideal conditions for a decisive victory by units and players expected to play much better..........the criticism/questioning is mostly warranted. But then you have people like yourself who can't process people discussing that ON A MESSAGE BOARD where people discuss the Bills. Wondering if they will regress after basically one season where they were a SB contender is reasonable............every year for decades at least one of the 4 championship game teams from the season prior has missed the playoffs the following season.
  25. Yesterday you said the Bills had time to throw deep? Upon further review? Yeah the OL play was bad.........but c'mon GB and @dave mcbride.........you gotta' adjust much sooner than Daboll did. No excuse for the hard-headedness. And it's not just 1 game.........their offense was bad in the playoffs last year as well.........Daboll needs to stop being Mike Martzesque and be willing to adapt.
