TNF: NYG at WFT 8:20 NFLN

Jones is a lot better than either one of those guys IMO. But its certainly true that the G-Men have been in a funk for years now. -
As usual Simms breakdown is very instructive. I get that Steeler's disguised their coverage to confuse Allen but don't defences disguise their coverages routinely in an effort to confuse or deceive the QB and hasn't Allen shown that he is capable of making post snap reads? Sounds like Simms is saying that Pittsburg's understanding of the NE O is so deep that finding the open receiver was especially difficult involving additional levels of complexity, presenting Allen with something of a shell game. While all QBs miss open receivers at times, and I haven't gone back to check the tape, but I don't myself recall Allen passing up lots of open receivers underneath. I though Steelers coverage was pretty much good at all levels. Kudos to them. Maybe Brady could counter with a good ground game. Not sure we are able to do that effectively. Josh Allen is still of course a young, inexperienced QB but he's smart. He will be a better QB by the end of the year than he is now.

I get the Brady love but I dont exactly share it. I can't think of another player who has made better or more productive use of his particular skill set/talents. And to be clear his talent is obviously considerable and such as to place him without doubt amongst the best ever. He was also an outstanding player and a proven winner in college and him lasting into the sixth round of the draft was ridiculous. But football is a team sport and I cant think either of another player who benefitted more from his association with a great organization top to bottom throughout his tenure in NE, great coaches, players. Those championships belong more to the organization than just to Brady himself. If I were starting a dream team from scratch today even just looking at currently active players and even assuming a Tom Brady at the peak of his powers, there is no way he would be my choice for QB. I'd pick Josh, Pat, AR ahead of him. If the GOAT just means the most successful while still being a great player then sure. Clearly he's not the most talented even just looking at QBs. -
Article: Will Josh Allen regress in 2021?
starrymessenger replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the end of the 2021 season Allen will be a better, possibly much better QB, than he was at the end of the 2020 season. So no. Bills O will be a DC's nightmare. Just too many options for the man with the golden arm. -

He’s got wheels but I don’t know that he’s ever broken a tackle. I’d stick with Breida. -

He made the right decision no doubt. Apparently Rosen had a good half yesterday playing with the scrubs. In the minds of some he has already secured his position as Ryan’s backup. Maybe he can play in that offence, he’s sort of like a (much) Iesser version of Ryan as QB types go. I was looking forward to checking this game out but it wasn’t on offer in my part of the world.
