  1. They are very talented on both sides of the ball. And they are well coached. Tua is their weak point imo.
  2. Yeah four guys right there and nobody moves to contain.
  3. not running much to outside or passing to backs you cant run Cook inside all the time
  4. Don’t get the Elway reference, but to continue Donnie Shell once did stop Earl in his tracks.
  5. Jack Tatum tried to do the same thing to Earl Campbell. Didn't work out.
  6. Didn't we similarly destroy the Boys a couple Thanksgivings ago? Hope it's not just the matchup.
  7. Hes not a power back but he "breaks" tackles using his quickness in space, so tackles wind up being arm tackles. Hes had plenty of long runs and he's been one broken tackle away from taking it to the house on numerous occasions.
  8. Brady is thankfully more committed to the run game than Dorsey. But to me the run blocking scheme seems to have changed (for the better). I wonder whether Kromer and Dorsey were on the same page. The line now is looking to pick up blocks at the second level from the snap and letting the running backs (esp Cook) hang back and use their vision to pick their way. This favours Cook's game because of the suddenness of his moves in space. Good for the Jets reject too. Ive been really impressed with McGovern's mobility at LG.
  9. He almost did something bad to an ankle on the last one.
  10. Mahomes has been doing his job per usual. His teammates on O, basically both tackles and the receivers (except for Rice) have continually let him down even as he makes the best of the protection he gets and hits those pass catchers in the hands at crucial, game changing moments. The Toney debacle was just the proverbial straw.
  11. Tackle J Taylor was not properly lined up on the Toney debacle. Could/should have been penalized for illegal formation.
  12. I have to wonder what the McD comments would have been if Toney had not been a few inches over the line.
  13. IMO Nabors will go before Odunz. I think he is a better prospect. He ranks right after MHJr imo as the second best in the class. What you say about Odunz however is true but myself for now I’d have him more at the back end of the top 5 or 6. I know thats probably not a consensus view.
  14. If you are willing to roll the dice on a slightly underweight receiver, I have to think Troy Franklin at 187lbs (6’3) might be the guy. He is pretty incredible. I know he’s very well thought of but I havent really checked out Worthy yet.
  15. Nabors is very much like and as good as Stephon Diggs. Right now. What I'd give to have them both.
  16. Maybe with his talent his numbers could be better, but except for 2022 where he got to play with a much better QB, AJ Brown's stat line is pretty much the same as Metcalf's. And Metcalf's stats are better than Tee Higgins' who is going to sign a humongous contract with somebody in the off-season. My point though is simply that I don't think we should outsmart ourselves again thinking that the guy we want will be there later in the draft (and have McD pick another DB). What's more if in the first we are even close to landing a guy like Malik Nabors you absolutely do all that you reasonably can to move up.
  17. Xavier Legette is the Metcalf/Brown comparable in this years draft (and he may well be as good). I think evaluators may have learned their lesson. Where do you think Brown or Metcalf would go in the 24 draft? They would both obviously go in the first. Imo it would be.a huge and unnecessary risk to hope to land any of the top 5 or 6 guys when we pick in the second. Lets be on Josh's side a little shall we?
  18. They better take a WR. It is a historic class. There are 4 or 5 guys who would have been picked ahead of any in last years class. More to the point, all of these guys project as # 1 receivers at the next level. That's unprecedented. Wherever the Bills wind up picking there is almost certainly going to be one of those guys (or maybe more than one) still on the board. Run, don't walk, to the podium. I will lose my lunch if they use their first pick on another position because they think they can find a decent receiver later in the draft. Elite WRs are as much a premium position group in today's NFL as LT or shut down corner.
  19. Torrence is not perfect. That's hardly surprising. Rooks face a serious learning curve in the pros and he's no different. He needs to improve his mobility to make plays at the second level. He can pull but it's not a strength. If he can improve that he will likely be a perennial pro bowler because the other requirements of his position he is well on his way to meeting at a high level. Absent injury he can be expected to have a long career as a starter in this league. That makes him a very good late second round pick. Really he should prolly not have been there. Another good fact in his case is that looking at his transfers he always was able to up his game and become dominant in short order even as the competition improved. In judging a young player's potential to transition that is a very useful indicator.
  20. It's early so just starting to look at the WRs. In terms of strategy we might consider a top FA or turn towards the draft. Tee Higgins should be the guy to target if we go the former route. With such a strong draft at the position it certainly makes sense to look there. If we sign a player like Higgins we might still be in position to draft a promising rook in the later rounds. I guess my preference would be to target one of the top guys in the first, maybe looking to move up a few spots if necessary. The reason would be that we need a #2 now but we also need a guy who has a strong chance of developing into a #1 WR in a couple of years. While the class is strong there are probably only 3, maybe 4 guys about whom you can be reasonably confident they can do that. My due diligence hasn't happened yet but just based on highlight reels I think I'd like me some Keon Coleman. All day. Right now I don't see much space between him and MHJr. In fact he looks better to me after the catch. Only other thing is that in looking at early mocks I see a number of these guys projected to the late second/third round. I sort of doubt it myself. That 6'7", 237 LBs Florida State who is physical, has some wiggle and will likely run in the low 4:40's will be long gone by the third (where I've seen him mocked more than once). And there are other top shelf guys being mocked (too) late IMO.
