  1. I'm completely convinced that if we had just kept the guy responsible for that mediocre #4 defense we might very well have made the playoffs the last two years.
  2. This question is only valid if you completely ignore what actually happened last season. Go back and review the games. Watch the defense give up 200+ yards to multiple RB's. Watch them blow massive leads. Then keep in mind for half the season Taylor didn't have his best WR. For God sakes, at one point in the season he was throwing to practice squad players. A fact which allowed opposing defenses to crowd the line of scrimmage and the Bills still managed to be the best running team in the NFL. The only way your question is valid is if you ignore the reality of what actually happened last season. Rex Ryan was an awful coach, his defense was putrid.
  3. That's because they all believe their going to the playoffs this year. You never know what can happen during an NFL season. Injuries, bad breaks or whatever. If the Chiefs crater this year and that turns into a top 15 pick they won't be laughing next year.
  4. I think it says a lot about Watson when most of his highlights are him running the ball.
  5. We had an RB from Coe College that was pretty damn good.
  6. Gillislee had 50 rushing yards when he started in place of McCoy. Shady gets 50 yards falling forward. We'll be fine.
  7. You could get Howard and you get a slightly slower version of Williams with more power and better blocking. I'm not a draft expert but I know if you have Sammy, Clay, Howard, Shady, Tyron and Listenbee over the top you'd better have good, big nickle corners and you'd better have a lot of them. That's a lot of speed and a **** ton of field to have to cover.
  8. Are you familiar with the offensive and defensive rankings last year. We couldn't stop anyone....at all.
  9. I think McDermott and Dennison are about creating economical mismatches. It's easier for a CB to cover a fast 5'10" receiver like Goodwin but hard for them to cover a 6'6" monster with speed. Problem is, those WR's are super expensive. 6'6" TE's that are 260lb are easy to find, cheap to get and hard to cover. They could very well be building a very different type of offense.
  10. Eric is a HUGE asset to have here! Strap in, he'll educate you in a great way!
  11. Eric and Cover 1 is the real deal. He's forgotten more about scheme and technique than most people know. If you're not following him on Twitter you should be.
  12. Just thought I'd share: http://www.syracuse.com/orangefootball/index.ssf/2017/02/syracuse_football_trainer_denny_kellington_leaving_to_join_buffalo_bills.html#incart_river_home
  13. We've tried everything else, why not try Jesus? Maybe we could make him our OC.
  14. It was good enough to get us into the playoffs. Had the defense shown up for three more games.........
  15. Which OC candidate is bald and looks like he could kick your ass? That's probably your guy.
  16. Actually, that's not what happened but please, by all means, feel free to invent your own narrative.
  17. There may be a lot of truth in this. It wasn't a secret that Marcel didn't like Rex's system. He doesn't like being a space eater.
  18. He's going to turn Shaq into a killing machine! I can just imagine the first discussion with Jerry Hughes "Son, you're a !@#$ing penalty machine and every time you commit a stupid ass penalty you hurt this !@#$ing football team. You will either un!@#$ your head or the next down you play will be in Cleveland."
  19. This really isn't fair, it wasn't McDermott's decision to let Norman walk.
  20. If our new coach installs a 4-3 that allows the DL to attack Kyle is going to have a monster year.
  21. Wow that's going back a while. Not quite as far as spear chucking challenges but still a ways back.
  22. I like Richard....a lot. The NFL s about teaching young guys how to play. His coaching style is infectious and his attention to detail is reported to be extreme.
  23. Ask yourself this question, when was the last time anyone on the Buffalo News broke a story of any significance about the Bills? The TBN journalists are basically a sports version of the National Enquirer. What the hell happened to Carrucci? He used to be legitimate.
