  1. Coaching staff will need to see him develop for another 3 years before they give him a starting shot. *This is a joke for everyone that agrees*
  2. Isn't that role the assistant to the senior defensive assistant?
  3. No you wouldn't. It would be the same as it is now but your overall record is your seeding with whatever they use now as your breakers. 9 home, 8 away game (alternating every other year) and keep the divisional yearly rotation as is.
  4. Ok so would you prefer a 9-8 team playing as the home team vs a 12-5 team? That's really the point I'm trying to make. If you win your division at 9-8, great good for that team for being in a crappy division. But I can assure you that every other team that has a better record that has to play road games the rest of the way to the super bowl doesn't like it one bit. Division should matter still. conference record first and then they can use division record as a tie breaker.
  5. But with the new NFL format, they get to hang their hat on "who will be the first team to play 20 games?" And then " who will be the first team to play 20 games and win a Superbowl?" Because "ohhhh, ahhhhh" storyline
  6. Honestly asking, you prefer bad teams to play because they won their division with a losing record over letting a better team in?
  7. The other problem is McD's "you have to earn it" mentality to playing players. James Cook - 25% of offensive snap counts Kalil Shakir - 29% of offensive snap counts Taiwan Jones - 0% of offensive snap counts But Taiwan gets the spot because why? He's earned it (not saying he took a roster spot from either of them on game day but just the way he uses players seems to be based on his philosophy).
  8. Forced to abandon it or choose to play a with what they still had left on the roster from Rex and build towards the nickel defense they have been using for the last 4 years? 2018 had lorax, Edmunds and Milano and lorax started 8 games that year. So if you're referring to 2017 when McD took over as HC then yes, he did play a 4-3 because they didn't have the players they have now to run nickel all the time. Basically they built the team the way that McD and Frazier wanted it and all I see you doing is blaming beane at the end of every reply so if that's where you want to put the blame, so be it, but he's doing what the coaching staff is asking for.
  9. The reason for that is because they have not tried to get a 3rd starting caliber LB because they don't play in a base 4-3. They play in nickel as their primary defense. As I already stated. Why would they waste a pick on another starting LB when they don't play 4-3? Who have they even tried to draft to add as something other than LB depth behind Milano and Edmunds?
  10. I agree, but we hardly ever actually play 4-3. They are in nickel all the time so really not a true 4-3.
  11. Curious to see the cost difference for people with YouTube TV vs YouTube users that just want the package.
  12. Well at least we know the receivers will be "well rounded"
  13. The conference championship games are a bigger pull for "actual" fans at probably a 1/10th of the cost. Super bowl is all about celebrities and businesses. Even if I had the money to blow, I would never do it.
  14. It would push the resale value for sure.
  15. He's great at dodging defensive linemen.
  16. It still generates the league money and players can use it in contract negotiations. Those are the only reasons remaining for the pro bowl to happen.
  17. Well then I can't help you other than recommending visiting an optometrist or psychologist if you think that the Bengals O-line isn't better than the Bills. Also remember, they were missing 3 starting lineman in this game and last game against the Bills.
  18. Congress always acts, they find out how to invest and then make a decision before the general public can.
  19. I would have rather than won, that way they can challenge the bills 4 straight SB losses.
  20. better than the bills line did against the Bengals.
  21. Tell me the bills offensive line is anywhere as good as KCs and I'll show you a liar.
  22. Half the league have a 1,000 yard+ rb and we have two that get 1300. Color me not impressed with the running game. Not specifically the running game, but the fact that it's not used is more of the point I was making. CMC would have been a waste of a position, draft capital and cap space in an offense that doesn't use RBs enough.
  23. That's kind of the point. No one on defense masks the deficiencies that were there when Miller went out for the defensive line. Allen has been masking them for 3 years now and they refuse to help him. It doesn't matter where they rank in scoring because pretty much everyone watching the game knows that it's all on Allen and Diggs.
  24. This is a moot point since we don't run the ball unless Josh decides to pull it down and run it.
