  1. "I'm excited to come back and play center," Wood said. "It's more of a natural position for me. I played it all through college. Guard is a lot of fun. You get to throw your weight around a little bit more. But center's a position I loved in college, and I'm excited to get back to playing it." This guy is one of my favorite players and recent draft picks. Reading the above gives me the sense that he loves playing football. Good luck on Sunday!
  2. "I'm going to do that,"

  3. My nightmare scenario is that Dallas does not win another game this season. We win a couple games via Cleveland and Detroit. Dallas earns the number one pick and drafts Luck right out from under our noses, sending Romo to the waiver wire. And the rest as they say is history.
  4. Maybe the Bills can sign him to a 2 year 15mil contract. Win-win, Elway gets his money back and the Bills go to the Super Bowl!
  5. With respect to Lynch... InCorrect! He is not in the long term plans because as soon as he is a free agent, he is out of here. Do you really want to franchise the guy to keep him on the team, so he can get into more trouble and get suspended for a year? Oh by the way, Lynch backed into the Pro Bowl when the guy actually selected (forget who) backed out from playing. With respect to McCargo... Correct! At least Whitner can/has contributed SOMETHING to the cause, what's Escargo done for his 1st round draft expenditure.
  6. As a wild and crazy kid, we would hang out in Oakfield NY (on Route 63 NW of Batavia) on Friday and Saturday nights waiting for the Batavia Downs race track to let out (around 11 pm) and bombard the cars with rotten tomatoes as they passed through this small town with 1 traffic light in the center of the village.
  7. Being from Batavia, we have heard this rumor for years. Usually entails a smaller multi-purpose domed stadium topping out at 65k seats. Would it be nice, you bet. Would it be the biggest thing since the Batavia Downs, you bet. Would I be able to afford to attend more games, NO! Potential problems would be the small local airport may not handle the planes nfl teams use and roads going into and out of Batavia are mostly single lane. Route 5 is the exception. Even access to the thruway exit is tight with 1 road in and out. I remember before OTB when the race track was going strong, cars would be backed up, jammed up for a couple of hours after the track let out on Friday and Saturday nights. I forget how many people the track used to hold, but it wasn't 65K.
  8. Wait for the special edition Dancing with the Has Been's, coming this spring.
  9. Love this reply! Yeah! It hurt me too because it was after the dude made a first down and he still hung onto the ball. Wow, that's a real display of first round talent.
  10. The New England Referees will never let this happen!
  11. This years? How about the previous 9 years of picks? 2002 M. (how big?) Williams 1R J. Reed 2R (initially good, then went into dropsy land, then got good again and let him go) 2003 W. McGagme 1R C. Kelsify 2R 2004 L. Evans 1R(will somebody throw me the ball) JP. Loseman 1R 2005 R. (the thought of using him) Parish 2R 2006 D. Witless 1R J. MaCargo 1R 2007 M. (where's my pipe, my gun, and where do I turn?) Lynch 1R (a quasi-pro-bowl player) P. (hurt me) Posluszny 2R 2008 L. Mckelvin (too early to tell?) 1R J. (see ya) Hardly 2R 2009 A. Maybe 1R E. Wood (maybe a Pro-bowl player) 1R J. Byrd (A real Pro-bowl player) 2R A. Levitre (too early to tell) 2R We have 11 of these guys on the 2010 team, and other than Byrd, very little to show for it.
  12. He can pile up some stats when on the field, but IMO he is an average to good run defender and fair to poor is pass coverage. He makes up for it, by "working his a$$ off." I believe that his injury problem is that he plays with reckless abandon, leaving himself vulnerable.
  13. YOU WILL NOT LAUGH! YOU WILL NOT CRY! YOU WILL LEARN BY THE NUMBERS! I WILL TEACH YOU!
  14. Not that I don't like the kid, but he has not been on the field long enough to determine if he is a long term answer at LT. He definitely is not a short term answer. After one particularly bad play by Bell, Steve Tasker commented that's why left tackles get paid so well. My thought was exactly, you get what you pay for.
  15. For what's it's worth, they also picked the Jets over the Ravens.

Final Record 12-4 Notes: ESPN wants to flex our 12/26 NE game, but the Bills tell them to forget about it.
  17. With out a doubt, the heart and soul of the greatest Bills team, Darryl Talley.
  18. I am not a big Billick fan. The talent he had in Baltimore was assembled by Ossie Newsome. I am not sure I would agree with you that he coached to the talent or that the talent was that good that they did not need much coaching?
  19. This is the same thing T.Donahoe and G. Williams said at the beginning of their era with the Bills
  20. Could not agree more. These guys are fairweather players. As long as everything is going good (winning and/or piling up stats) their are model nfl citizens and team players. If not, forgetaboutit!
