  1. I am not sure how much devising it takes to have the 6' 8" guy jump. It is a valid point though.
  2. I know that OC and DC are extremely important but I think Bobby was the best ST coach we have had in years. Now that Philadelphia I believe let their staff go while awaiting a new HC we better make a play for April before he ends up in Kansas City with Reid if he hasn't already. I know his numbers with the Eagles were not great but I think that is more because they did not as a team make it a priority like the Bills seem to do. I have read some negative articles about him but I just recall how great he was here and I want the Bills to recreate the magic. Make it happen Nix/Whaley/Brandon/Marrone!
  3. Barkley seems the best west coast qb for Marrones system.
  4. No Way. He said the DC has to have NFL experience. I ike this guy but there is no way they are going to hire him. I hope he takes over Syracuse as HC.
  5. That is the beauty of the hire. I don't beloeve he will be calling plays so we will get a real OC and DC and he will be a Marv Levy type overseer and real head coach. I thought the same of Horton but his 34 defense probably scared us.
  6. I bet McCoy is regretting the decision to postpone the Bills. Lovie, Whiz and the defensive coordinator were same old same old 34 tampa 2 guys, Chip wanted too much control. I think McCoy or Marrone would have been hired. McCoy hesitated and lost out. I am happy we got someone who can assemble a staff now.
  7. I am not against a 3 year transformation to the 34 but this year would have to be 90% 43 10$ 34 and over 3 or 4 years keep drafting LB's until you have enough. Mario Williams is a 34 DE or OLB like Wade used him in Houston. Anderson is a pass rushing 34 lb as well. Merriman would be awesome in the 34. What we need is a healthy Troupe to play nose or Dareus. The only one really left out in 34 is Kyle Williams. If we draft Teo we have a grerat ILB. We lack good 34 LB depth. Moats Shepard, and Barnett are not really good 34 LB's as we have found out in the past.
  8. The first question you ask Chip is do you genuinely WANT to coach the Buffalo Bills. I know he won't say no. See how passive or aggressive he is to defend his position. If he passively says something like I wouldn't be here if I didn't, DON'T believe him. He is using Buffalo to gain leverage on Clev and Phi. He is also using the interview as practice for the other interviews. If we really want him and we interview him first make him a huge offer and say take it now and don't interview with anyone else or the offer is DEAD.
  9. I agree and the longer you wait the less pool of talent you have to choose from.
  10. Horton is the next Marv type coach. He will be a true leader and delegate authority.
  11. Kelly could be successful but he would have to hire strong coordinators with major NFL experience even HC experience.
  12. Chip Kelly reminds me of Steve Spurrier. People speak of how he advised Bill Belicheat but when you have Tom Brady how much advise do you really need.
  13. I keep reading Lovie wants to coach the Bills. Why have we not set up an interview?
  14. CJ is the feature back. FJ can spell him when he is tired. Put them in together and let CJ play as a WR. Chan has gradually brought him along brilliantly. If CJ can get a little stronger and improve his endurance I think he can handle a bigger work load. I would like to see 2000 yards rushing next year if the right OC comes in and our OLine can stay healthy.
  15. Sounds a lot like Marv Levy philosophy. I like it a lot! I bet he would hire Wisenhunt if he does not get a HC position. A DC should be able to coach both. He has to determine what is best for our personnel. If it is 43 than he has to hire a 43 expert not named Dave and learn from him.
  16. I am not completely against his playcalling. Too many dropped passes, negative plays, penalties and above average inaccuracy from Fitz doomed him. He made some wrong calls without a doubt but overall he had too much faith in players who let him and us down. I agree though that he should have been let go but we could have won four more games easily if the team executed better with the plays he drew up.
  17. I disagree. I think those losses are more the result of players error rather than Chan. I like Chan a lot. He is the scapegoat for a team of good guys that didn't play well as a team. He tried his absolute best but in the end he couldn't get blood from a stone.
  18. I think the workouts and other things than todays game will determine his draft position. A lot of QB's make a huge leap between now and April.
  19. I don't believe that is right unless it is possible to renegotiate a deal that turns the signing bonus portion of his current contract into actual salary. If you cut a player the salary you save does not go against the cap but the remaining amount of signing bonus does regardless when you do it I think.
