  1. I'm glad that you are a GM. Maybe the Bills should hire you to be an assistant to Nix. Suh is a #1 draft pick, but he is actually worthy of it... Let me guess.... like Donte Whitner, J.P. Losman, and Aaron Maybin are all 1st round talents.
  2. You obviously know nothing about how the draft works. Every one of these players will be gone within the first 40 picks barring a career ending injury between now and the drat. Buffalo would be beyond lucky to grab one of these players in the second round let alone rounds 3-7.
  3. Absolutely true; however, McClain (LB from Alabama) would fit in any scheme, and he should be available with our first pick. The Bills then need to only draft OL/DL the rest of the draft! Seriously...even as bad as Buffalo is at drafting, you have to be bound to get one solid player between rounds 2-7 if you draft the same position over and over.
  4. No thanks! Yes, being late for team meetings and being overweight are minor infractions compared to major legal issues; however, Buffalo can't afford these type of players. We already have a handful of "character issue guys" that aren't producing. When a team is as bad as the Bills, you go for a player that is the most talented as well as the least amount of baggage possible. The only guy who possibly might be at #9 that appears to be supertalented and a natural leader is McClain. Yes, I want a stud LT or a top DT but Suh and Okung are gone barring some major injury or major dissappointment at the combine. McClain is the best pick for #9. Now, let me trade down, get Anthony Davis and secure another 1st round or 2nd round pick for a DE or second round LB, then I'll consider Davis.
  5. Take it a day at a time!
  6. Yep, McClain is the only guy that seems to have NFL-ready all over him. McCoy's weight is an issue, Bradford's size and injury is a concern, and Trent Williams is a talent but not worth a top 12 pick.
  7. And, despite of all this, you will remain "faithful", and we'll hear from you next week.
  8. Snyder will pony-up big bucks. Besides, even though Washington is terrible, it too has a large fan base with big cities around it. I don't think Washington is any better than Buffalo; however, Campbell is a better QB than the two guys the Bills trot out each week. Too bad! We need a quality head coach, and I don't see anyone else lining up.
  9. The 1985 Bears, and the Trent Dilfer days with the Baltimore Ravens.
  10. Love your enthusiasm, and Byrd is very deserving of a Pro Bowl; however, that game doesn't really matter. Additionally, it will raise the value of Byrd's future contract if he is voted in. And, most importantly, those who have jobs and a life outside of the forum are not able to vote 31 times.
  11. Max Hall is a solid college QB, but he isn't a viable option. BYU hasn't produced a NFL ready quarterback since the McMahon and Young days. Note: I'm a graduate of the "Y."
  12. Wow, a 5'8 OT. He must be built like a boulder to play OT at that height.
  13. Three things stand out in this football game. #1. Neither Edwards or Fitzpatrick should ever be allowed to start a game again, so it is time to find out if Brohm can be molded into a decent player or if he is our future backup. Go and get a veteran this offseason. Edwards and Fitzpatrick are done!!! #2. Yes, we need a QB and an offensive line, but DT is our most needed position. When Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs, the Chiefs, run up 140+ on you, it is time to change the defensive line. We need a DT in round #1 or round #2, no questions!!! 3. As much as I love the enthusiasm to win games against the Chiefs, why are we trying to win? The goal is to get a higher draft pick.
  14. As much as I would like a QB or OT, the truth is that there isn't a QB worth taking in the first round. And, the only OT worth taking, Okung, will be gone by our spot. We have the worst rushing defense in the league!!! When Jamaal Charles hangs us for 140+ yards, and the team has had 10 straight 100 yard rushing games against it, then DT is priority #1, OT is priority #2, and a veteran QB is what we need to do in free agancy.
  15. I agree, except the new regime won't be any better. Have to get rid of the GM to do that, and wait it out on the owner.
  16. First, he's not a QB in the NFL. Second, it is spelled, "Tebow", so obviously you don't know a lot about what he can bring to an NFL offense let alone spell his name correctly. Thirdly, even if he was good, the Bills would pass on him. Welcome to the board.
  17. There was much talk about Buffalo liking Revis. Besides his character issues, there were warnings about Lynch possibly getting hurt because of some back issues. The back issues haven't surfaced, but as much as I hate to say it, we actually would've really benefited from picking up a secondary player.
  18. We don't want our draft pick too high, because of Buffalo's propensity to get guys for the wrong positions ala Aaron Maybin, too fat ala Mike Williams, too overrated ala Poz, too sensitive and crappy ala Losman, too scared to throw the ball ala Trent Edwards, too likely to underproduce ala Donte Whitner, or too jumpy to hit a hole ala Marshawn Lynch. If Buffalo gets a top five (5) pick, I would only be excited if I knew 100% they would get a franchise type player. Otherwise, Buffalo will still be crappy with really bad cap space ala Raiders. Top 10 pick, yes. Top 5, no thank you.
  19. Yes. Cut them both, and they will fit perfectly. Schobel is overplayed and Denney is a career journeyman that has only had the fortune of playing a lot because of the team he is on.
  20. I like the addition of Brian Brohm. Edwards and Fitzpatrick are terrible, and Hamdan wasn't going to ever see the field. I think Buffalo should keep Brohm, find another young player (3 years or less) as another backup, and then get a QB in free agency as a stop gap for two years. Brohm and the other guy the Bills pick up and can then battle for the top spot. Knowing our luck, Hamdan signs with another team and becomes a legitimate starting QB for Miami.
  21. Other than Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly, and Jairus Byrd (yes he has already been that good) seeing Dick Jauron go is in the top 5 greatest things to happen in the Bills organization in the last 20 years. Still, as it has been mentioned on many occasions, firing a coach is simple to do. Replacing a coach that brings a culture of winning is not. Let's celebrate the firing of Jauron, but this is just a battle that has been won. The real battle is getting a real GM and a real front office. I'm smiling today, but I won't be celebrating until we hear the GM has been fired, the front office has changed and a winning coach is leading the Bills again. Wizard
  22. Yes. A good draft pick. And, our next coach can't be any worse.
  23. As much as I would like a new QB, there isn't one that has solid starter written on him. Let's look at OT, and DT first, then let's look at QB. Yes, I don't think Trent is the long-term answer for Buffalo, but I don't see anyone in this QB class that would be ready to supplant Edwards immediately. Therefore, look at a QB in round #3 to compete with Trent. If the 2010 season shows no improvement with Edwards, then you look at QB in round #1 in 2011.
