I thought the same thing. I wonder if anything got to his head, because it sure didn't make it down to his body. Man, all that talent to run and make plays and he just seemed hesitant. His passes sailed high early and he didn't make any plays on the run. I was very disappointed and hope this is not our offense this year. We've got three days to fix the mess.

At critical times, the defense did not get it done. Whether it was missed tackles, dropped interceptions, blown coverage, or just getting blown off the ball and pushed backwards, this defense did not look elite. It didn't even look top 10. The Ravens will finish somewhere from 18th-24th in offense this year. Our D looks like it could fall in the same numbers. Not great. With that being said, our offense was unforgivable. What a shitfest!

If we lost and the team looked good, it would be a different story. We looked like **** and made the same stupid mistakes we've made for years. Bad football teams with bad coaching and bad management are incapable of playing consistently well. We will be a 5-6 win team.

Our group of LA Bills fans got together for the opener. I must say after years of futility, none of us had great expectations for this season. About 3-4 minutes into the 3rd quarter, I looked at the guys and said... "Am I the only one or does this game seem out of reach?" We have the ball, we are only down 3 and it's the beginning of the 3rd and yet it felt hopeless. I just felt there was no way this team is going to win. And they had to prove it to me. I want to be surprised with good football, but damn this was pathetic. This is not a playoff team. This may not be a .500 team. This may not even be a bad team. This season may get Cleveland Ugly.

With Rex driving this bus, I am expecting a crash and burn to 5-6 wins. I really hope I am wrong, but this franchise is a bad joke that wears on me the older I get. After 40+ years of being a die hard, this may be the year that I do not see every game. Any excitement I have today is based on celebrating with friends from Buffalo.

DEFENSE! Did bringing in bro and Reed really help? Is everyone really comfortable in Rex's scheme? Is the scheme any good, or will we get run over and passed around? OFFENSE! Did Taylor take the next step? Will Goodwin make it through a game without getting hurt? Is Shady still a top #5 back? Will Sammy get enough touches? Is Clay worth all the money we through at him? SPECIAL TEAMS! Can we stop kickoff returns? Will Carpenter hit from outside 50? Do we have a punt returner?

Optimism says 10-6, 11-5. Tyrod lights it up. Sammy and McCoy are injury free and play to their potential. No injuries on the O-Line and Clay plays to his contract. Plus Ed Reed gets the D talking and comprehending Rex's D. Pessimism says 5-11, 6-10. Tyrod is good, not great. Shady is hurt. Sammy misses time. One of are starting O-line go down and the D never materializes in Dareus absence. By the time the D is clicking we hit the meat of the schedule and drop to 3-7, 3-8. Late season surge prevents a top 5 pick again. Realism: 7-9 to 9-7.. Bills football year in year out.

OMG !!!! I did it. I watched the whole pathetic thing. Probably because I was in my office and didn't want to work, but still, cat videos on youtube would have crushed this pisser of a game.... There are a lot of holes to fill on this roster. I think O'Leary earned his spot, but another tight end would help. We need to fill out the O-Line and none of the new linebackers stood out. Not that they had a lot of time to learn the D. Overall, it was a sickening lack of desire and pathetic display of tackling. Let's see how this rolls over ten days from now. I'm excited for bills football but do not have high expectations.

I'm actually pretty satisfied with the haul of this draft and UDFA. We are looking deeper and this is Rex's chance to prove us all wrong with the D. No one has any excuses with the roster that Whaley has provided. If Rex does not deliver at least 9-7, then it's time to ship his ass out. This is a talented roster.
