  1. Tom Brady beats them twice. The Bills almost win game #2 but Brady holds off the Bills anemic pass rush with his cane, then hobbles around end untouched and waddles into the end zone for the win with :02 on the clock. Final Score New England 51 Buffalo 49. Rex Ryan vows his defense is still formidable and tells the press, we will work harder on our two-man rush. Rex points to Dareus' pick of Brady as the turning point.
  2. in case you haven't found it, your inner patriot is located in the deep in your rectum. If you squeeze hard you can eject little patriots after your morning coffee. If you pucker during ejection you can get them to look like the hoodie.
  3. Brett Favre is my #1 Terry Bradshaw was a tough SOB, even in the The Cannonball Run. Kenny "The Snake Stabler" should on the list. I thought Fran Tarkington was pretty tough and some would say Phil Simms cuz like a Timex watch he took a licking and kept on ticking.
  4. Thanks for posting this link. It's what I've been saying. This could be a smart move. Look at the other teams on the list. We may have a real shot.
  5. Kaps' off the market. He was my first but Chipper is going to see what he can do with him.
  6. He will be cut. No way the Skins pay 16m for a backup. They will pay that to Cousins. The question is does anyone outside of Houston, Cleveland the Rams and possibly Philadelphia see him as a starter. None of these teams run a system suitable to his style. Teams that have mobile QB's who are a running threat. Buffalo Seattle Tennessee Kansas City Jacksonville Minnesota San Francisco All of these teams have an entrenched starter. The Bills seem like the team that RG3 could have the best shot at earning some playing time outside the four who need a starter. Now the question comes down to cost. Who can or will pay RG3 5-6m a year. No way I think he gets more.
  7. Very stoked on this one. Does this give Rex a Mulligan on Year One. I'm still a little pissed that we squandered a chance to make the playoffs this year, but Rex seems like he's motivated and back to work.
  8. That's it for me in a nutshell. I think he could thrive under Roman, and I think Kap could too. Both are reclamation projects with big upside if the money is right plus insurance and competition for TT.
  9. Sadly, there's a lot of QB's hanging around that look better than EJ Manuel. I really want to like this kid, but he keeps falling apart. This one is a wash as neither should be a true #2. Either of these as a min salary #3 is acceptable, but it would be better to develop than waste a roster spot for either of these 2.
  10. Do the naysayers really feel comfortable with EJ as our #2. Personally he is a great kid with a great attitude and a good teammate. He just isn't a capable quarterback. We need a better #2. Who should it be?
  11. Here's the thing. No one earns anything in the NFL. It is best player for the position and next man up. If TT goes down or regresses we can not have EJ Manuel in the lineup. That cost us a playoff spot this year. If we want a consistent offense then we need to run the same system with all three of our QB's to keep defenses on their toes. Last year was the first year in this offense and we were stuck with the players from the previous regime. If Rex wants to run HIS D and Roman HIS O then we need to adapt and find players who fit the scheme. No one should get complacent. Everyone should know they have to fight for their starting position and for their job. Healthy competition is the hallmark of success. Look at the Broncos. If Brock was playing better, he would be starting and a first ballot HOF rides the pine like in Week 17. When Peyton came in healthy he earned the nod for the playoff game. I say bring in competition at every position and the best man wins. For the QB competition, I'd like to see RG3 or Kapernick brought in. As a last resort, Chase Daniel or Matt Moore are still better than EJ. We need an upgrade here.
  12. that's my feeling... EJ out.... a competent veteran who can play in the system IN. Draft the future 4th-7th round or next year after thoroughly evaluating TT.
  13. With RG3 on his way out of Washington, I wonder if any team considers him a starter and would go after him as such. Cleveland, San Francisco, St. Louis, Philadelphia and Houston seem to be the only teams in the market and with Chipper gone, no one really runs RG's style of offense. With RG and Tyrod playing similar styles, would he consider the Bills as a place to challenge for a starting position and work in a system that is suited to his strengths. If he does not beat out TT, then we have a capable backup that does not require retooling the offense for. I can't see RG3 getting a substantial long term deal, so if we offered 2-3 yrs at 5m per, would it be enough to lure him over. Personally, I would take RG3 instead of wasting a draft pick or keeping EJ around.
  14. The timing of penalties against the Bills were very suspicious. Bad phantom calls at the most inopportune times.
  15. Anybody feel Smith as the Defensive Coordinator of the Bills. He ran some decent D in Chi-town.
  16. and the Patriots are one of the best. Bottom line is we need to get better to knock them off the perch.
  17. Isn't that the definition of sabotage, the lower tier teams get the short end of the stick. With the Bills drawing the short stick all the time. Even Cleveland didn't face this kind of scheduling problem....
  18. Mixed feelings on this one. I would love to see the show and get me more Bills TV, but I would not want it to interfere with the teams progress. Rex is too volatile for the cameras and I'm afraid the OBD circus would destroy the season.
  19. The thing to consider is what other team in the NFL had these particular challenges. I feel a rule should be implemented that no team should play more than 2 games in a row at home or on the road. This makes even competitive balance. I am not complaining that the Bills can't overcome these obstacles, I am merely saying that it seems odd that Buffalo has been a target for the imbalance, some of it was their own fault for instituting the dreaded Toronto mishap. But when the 2016 schedule comes out, the Bills should not be the only team in the AFC or in the NFL to face certain obstacles. This should be brought to the leagues attention by ownership and management.
  20. Unfortunately #2 never materialized, we never played more than 2 in a row at home. it came out to 5 of 8 but never such a streak like on the road. No other team in the NFL came close to a road stretch like this.
  21. sadly, it is hard to disagree with most of this, I see another 8-8 season, but the glass half full means that Rex's swan song.
  22. You are right about overcoming, but this years playoff teams, the good teams all had many favorable variables that give them an extra push. For the Bills, playing more teams after they have a bye week, playing 5 of 6 on the road, having a tougher strength of schedule all contribute to the grind of a 16 week season and to injuries, fatigue, loss of mental focus. Granted good teams should overcome all these obstacles, but there needs to be a system in place to create more balance so the competitive scales are not so one sided.
  23. Exactly, no other team in the conference had to endure a road stretch like this. Only 10 teams in the league had winning road records and none of them had more that 2 in a row on the road. I think with a balanced schedule the Bills win 2-3 more games, even with the bad coaching. If we were in playoff consideration weeks 12-14 and had balanced home games, the Ralph would have been rocking.
