Diggs throwing his helmet and asking for the ball more

Devin Singletary not scoring a TD with 34 seconds left
section122 replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
So the board has now moved to complaining about decisions that work out too? Cmon man! This is getting ridiculous. Worried about 3rd and longs Worried we arent blowing teams out Worried about the o line Worried about diggs becoming a diva (seriously hasn't this been put to rest?!) Complaining about ed oliver That is just the first page! Not to mention the complaining about dorsey and his 2nd most ypg and 4th most ppg offense Or the complaining about frazier and his 9th ranked ypg and 2 ranked ppg defense Or the complaining about mcd and 11-3 afc #1 seed with the highest strength of victory, incredibly difficult schedule, and handling a myriad of injuries. Some of you need to cheer the ***** up and move on from 13 seconds. Sheesh.- 408 replies

So, reading the board, we lost again. 3-11. Sigh.

And if the Chiefs didn't lose to a terrible Colts team they would be 12-2 and in the drivers seat. Of course there are a lot of teams that can cause problems in the AFC. It's football. Every team in the playoffs can cause problems for every other team. The last super bowl winners: #4 seed Rams #5 Bucaneers #2 Chiefs #2 Patriots You have to go all the way to 2017 before you find a #1 seed from either conference that won the super bowl. The point is to make the playoffs. They have done that through all the injuries, through one of the toughest schedules in the NFL. You can be doom and gloom and nothing will convince you otherwise clearly. Or you can enjoy the ride. Ultimately all your hand wringing means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme. It has no effect on the Bills. So you can either enjoy the ride or be miserable worrying about every tiny little thing. Sports should be enjoyable and it seems you get no enjoyment from watching 11 wins. That sucks for you. -

The chiefs just went to ot with the worst team in the league they must suck. The bengals lost to the 6-8 steelers the bills beat by 35 they must suck. The eagles only beat the 3-11 bears by 5 they must sick. The niners lost to those 3-11 bears they must suck. Cowboys just lost in ot to the jaguars they must suck. So I guess nobody is good enough to win the super bowl this year.... -
I'm officially identifying him as a troll. Nobody is this invested in arguing against the coach of the 9-3 first place in the afc bills. Except the guy with the screen name tied to the Dolphins perfect season.

So you are complaining just to complain then? If you want no action then what is the point? Do you really think McD doesn't learn from his mistakes? He talks all the time about self scouting. Or do you feel that is just fluff?

This is an utterly ridiculous post. Tell me you wouldn't be the first person here if something went wrong doing as you described. Why didn't they just qb sneak for a yard and then go victory formation would have been the refrain. Or why didn't they run the ball and run the clock? Here's the thing, you get the benefit of hindsight. If it worked, the Bills win and nobody questions the decision. The QB and center messed up the snap. The most basic play in football. Somehow that is on McD? Every team will win and lose games. As pointed out to you Reid took forever to win a super bowl and he is thought of as one of the best coaches in the league. Here is my question to all the McD complainers. Name me the coach you want to replace him. Pick any coach. I will absolutely guarantee you I can find something that you wouldn't like with real in game/season success examples. Please someone take me up on this.

This is a really weird list and I don't think the Bills would. Christian Watson has 22 total catches. He has a high of 4 catches in a game and 3 games with 1 catch. On a team with nobody else to take targets away. George Pickens has character concerns and has already been thrown out of a game this year. He's had some highlight grabs and is probably the best player on this list but again those character concerns lead me to believe he wasn't and wouldn't be on the Bills radar. Alec Pierce started strong but has 4 catches in his last 4 games including 2 games with 0 receptions. Skyy moore has 17 catches on the year. 10 in the last 2 weeks so 7 catches in the previous 10 weeks including 2 games each with 0 and 1 target. Strange list that doesn't prove a point unless you think they should have drafted a wr no matter what.

Im most nervous about this being the 3rd road game in a row. Its a rough spot to be in especially with how exhausted this team is already. Need this one then rest up on a mini bye.

Diggs caught complaining to McDermott on broadcast
section122 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
All you McD haters need to watch this but you won't. He always has the right words to say. My head coach does a great job of keeping everyone level-headed and in the right space to go out there and execute. Execution brings effort and effort brings execution. -
Diggs caught complaining to McDermott on broadcast
section122 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
They tried to push him being frustrated but his body language didn't really show it. Since we are running off of assumption I thought maybe mcd was asking diggs to go pump up josh and help him get his head right. Allen took off right after that and I would have liked to have seen more of what happened when diggs went over near allen. -
What happened when the chargers fired schottenheimer? They haven't won 14 games since that year, they made it to 1 afc championship game the next year, and then lost the divisional round (same as marty) the next 2 years. Since then? They made the playoffs twice in 13 years. Firing marty was dumb just like firing mcd would be.

I disagree with almost all being offense. It's pretty evenly split 15 total coaches 8 offense 6 defense 1 special teams 22 total super bowls 8 offense 12 defense 1 special teams

You can call me Mrs. McDermott lol. Did you read the OP? Did you see how hard it is to win 1 super bowl? Who is the best coach in the NFL right now today? Is it Belichick? snuck into the playoffs and got waxed by the Bills? Is it Andy Reid? Who has won 1 super bowl in over 20 years of coaching and for the last 5 has at a minimum top 3 qb in the league? Is it John Harbaugh? He missed the playoffs and the last time he was in the playoffs got beat by the Bills Is it Sean McVay? He has a 3-6 record Is it Mike Tomlin? He hasn't sniffed a superbowl in forever He doesn't have the confidence we are going to win if we play our way? That's crazy talk to me. People are complaining about his sticking with the nickel even when teams are gashing us. Isn't that confidence in the way we play? He went for it on 4th and 2 when many wanted a fg (myself included) isn't that confidence in his team? Name a coach, any coach, and I will show you a key situation where the call they made didn't work out. That is football. The hail Murray hurt but Hopkins was literally triple covered. How in the world is that on coaching? I'm not his agent but I recognize that he is a great coach and one the Bills would be very hard pressed to improve upon. So I go back to my previous challenges. Who do you want? Pick any coach you want and I will show you a gaffe they made or an incorrect call that they made. Don't let perfect be the enemy of very good.

Seeing Payton's name is exactly what prompted me to make this thread, thank you for typing out the record he had. You are spot on with this entire post. Football is fluky. All you can do is consistently make it to the playoffs by having your teams competitive and ready. Each year McD has done that. A great example that comes to mind was firing Marty Schottenheimer by the Chargers and then they wasted a ton of Rivers career trying to get even close to his level of success. Here is some more food for thought for those on the ledge and complaining: Since 2017 when McD took over a team that had gone through a 17 year drought: the Bills have the 9th best record in the entire NFL. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-nfl-record-since-2017 the Bills have the 7th most playoff wins in the NFL https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-nfl-playoff-record-since-2017 Since 2020 when allen came into his own: the Bills have the 2nd best record in the entire NFL. https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-nfl-record-since-2020 the Bills have the 4th most playoff wins: https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/best-nfl-playoff-record-since-2020 It really is mind boggling the lack of respect he gets for being a top 10 coach at a bare minimum immediately upon his arrival. I won't lie I had to look that up as I thought it was John Fox.

Every coach makes calls that can be correct because they worked or gaffes because they don't imo. Every game calls get made that can be headscratchers or genius by every coach in the nfl. As i mentioned in the op, the defender was in position so the play call was good. Do we really think he hasn't been taught to knock it down there if even us at home know that's the right play? The fumble for td was a fumbled snap. One of the easiest and routine plays in football do we really think they need better coaching on that? If either of those plays are made, the Bills win and are 7-2. That's how close each game is and why people shouldn't overreact. I agree with you on trusting the coaching staff. It hurts losing especially the way they find to do so but this is still a damn good team with damn good coaches. Let's start with one. Then we will all probably get greedy lol

This post made me look. This topic was post 5500 for me in 13 years lol. Congrats to your milestone!

I really think the Patriots in general messed up all fans not just Bills fans idea of how easy it is to win. What they did is outrageous and such an outlier. Of course it required a bit of rule manipulation but there is no denying how impressive it was.

My how quick we turn on everyone associated with the Bills. This thread is a simple reminder as some think it is super bowl or bust for McD. As if winning the super bowl is some easy feat that coaches do all the time. If McD gets fired who is he replaced with? Here is the list of current Head Coaches that have won a super bowl and how many they have won: Bill B. 6 Andy Reid 1 in over 20 years as a HC Sean McVay 1, shining star in LA, currently 3-6 and in last place in the division Doug Pederson 1, already fired from that job, Eagles haven't been past the wild card round since Pete Carrol 1, in his 13th year with Seattle John Harbaugh 1, in 13 years Mike McCarthy 1, in 14 years, fired from that job, Packers haven't been to the super bowl since Mike Tomlin 1, in 14 years, has been to 1 AFC Championship game since 2010 Maybe you prefer a recently unemployed coach? Sean Payton 1, in 15 seasons, been to 1 NFC championship game since winning it all in 09 Bruce Arians 1, retired, great coach, not coming back, won it with Brady Jon Gruden 1, retired, mediocre coach, not coming back, won because his replacement didn't change signals. Or maybe you prefer a long since retired guy? (none of these guys are coming back) Tom Coughlin 2 Gary Kubiak 1 Tony Dungy 1 Bill Cowher 1 That is the last 21 super bowls. 13 guys have won it 1 time. 2 guys more than once. 1 guy more than twice. Winning a super bowl requires not only a tremendous amount of skill but also luck. McD has the best winning percentage for any coach in Bills history. They have lost 3 games to teams with a combined record of 21-7. 2 of them were divisional games on the road. All 3 combined were by 8 points. BBFS says they always find a way to lose, polyanna says it takes herculean efforts from other teams to beat the Bills. The truth is the Bills are a good team and a well coached team. McD didn't give up a long completion on 4th and 18. The player was even in position to make the play so you can't blame playcalling. Hyde and Poyer have missed how many games and yet the d continues to be effective save for last game. Milano, Oliver, Edmunds, and Rousseau have all missed games. Come back from the ledge.

NFL messing up a good thing (Pat McAfee)
section122 replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is paying them 4 million dollars is that not big rights fees? Lol -
Since exploding as a rookie with 12 sacks Chubb has played in 33 games in 4 years including this year. In those 4 years he has 14 sacks. I get that he has name recognition but I think a 1st for a half year is a wild overpay. If they work an extension out things change but I'm not terrified of this move.

According to pff Alexander didn't play a single coverage snap against diggs lol
