  1. I'd trade Shady. Avoid the dead cap issue. Some team will take him, likely for a 3rd or 4th. He could complement Mack well in Indy. Our O-line and RB's have issues. The only RB who could gain yards appeared to be Ivory due to his running style. But even in space when catching a ball, McCoy looks slower than normal. We need to trade Shady and Clay (if possible on the latter), or cut and use that money for Coleman, get Paradis at Center. Eifert and James at TE.
  2. I'm not saying he would, but it was a response to another poster that we should try to get him as OC if he wants to be an OC.
  3. Shady likely a 3rd or 4th. Some team will look at the mess our OL is and give us a 3rd or 4th. I could see the Colts going for it if they don't get Bell.
  4. Daboll has been okay, IMO. No running game due to the OL isn't helping. But if you can get Arians, I'd do that. Arians seems to be falling in love with Allen, so perhaps there is a shot.
  5. yep, and that 3rd round pick becomes Bryce Love or another RB. Also you still have Ivory and that point (better behind a terrible O-line) and Murphy and Ford. Although, Shady apparently gavevFoster the reality-check he needed, so keeping McCoy could have been worth it for that.
  6. exactly. getting a 7th for Clay would have been amazing. Jesse James would be a fantastic addition. Can block and catch. Does not see many opportunities this year given the Steelers bevy of pass catchers and the fact that McDonald is basically a WR playing TE. James and Croom would be a great duo. Also, would allow us to draft OT, etc.
  7. They def need upgrades. When you don't sack Broken Back Bradford, something is amiss. That said, I think they will use their assets to beef up every area of the team. With 90 million in cap, I would expect a player like Barr in FA, a Center in FA, and the draft to take BPA (Oliver, OT, WR). With 10 picks, I also see us trading up to get a top OT and WR, both of which should be available late 1st/early 2nd. We will be adding a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. Should be exciting.
  8. This is nonsense. (1) They cheated; (2) Brady is an arrogant pric* who believes he is superman and can play until he is 45--he deserves to go out getting hammered; (3) Bellicheat is nothing w/o Brady. They deserve to go out however they go out. The 90's Bills deserved to win a SB. Didn't happen. Numerous teams deserve to win. I will not be upset in the least if the cheating, arrogant, and smug Pats never win again. Here are three current QB's that should "go out on top" ahead of Brady: (1) Rivers--classy guy, almost gets there year after year; (2) Brees. Has one ring. Also a great guy; (3) Newton. Would be nice to see another SB here. Classy guy who is putting up great numbers (until he got hurt) with a mediocre cast this year.
  9. Wow, this is fantastic stuff. I'm hoping that TE is Jessie James. Could give him 3 years, 7 mill a year. likely beat out any other offer. A WR at 12-13 mill is about right for this group of WR's for a top target. Could also sign a bunch of "fits" for less. I'd target Golden Tate, currently making 6.2 million. Cole Beasley could be a Zay Jones upgrade, currently at 3.2 million; and John Brown (Ravens) could be a great fit here. Currently at about 5 mill. Geronimo Allison could be another nice grab. Looks like he is finishing his rookie contract, and only 25 years old. Backup QB could be even cheaper. Will Barkley need 3 mill a year? 2 OL at 11M per would be nice. Allow us to hopefully grab Paradise at C and another OT or G. I'd also try to add Coleman at RB. Fun link here to play with: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/wide-receiver/
  10. fantastic family. A guy I work with has family in Wisconsin, he brings some back, sometimes. I'm currently out. They need to sell it out of state. Why does Wisconsin hog all their really, really good beer!
  11. DUnkin' should sponsor it.
  12. totally agree. When you can't sack Broken Back Bradford, you lack a difference maker. We don't have anyone who the offense has to plan around. A lot of good players, now add a stud and this D is #1 in the league by a mile.
  13. how did you get Spotted Cow in Charlotte?!?!?!
  14. we need DL help. Can't sack an immobile QB and getting gashed by backup RB's. Embarrassing.
  15. If Zay doesn't drop passes, I can see Foster and Zay reaching around 100 yards each. Can Ford catch it out of the backfield. I have a feeling he sees more time than Murphy at RB.
  16. I was trying to place him somewhere, and your right, this does make the most sense. Allows Jax to also draft a rookie to learn from Flacco in Rd. 2 or something. Flacco would have a TON of weapons in Jax.
  17. Great topic, OP: QB: Allen WR: Jones WR: Foster OL: Teller OL: Dawkins TE 2: Croom (in two TE sets, starter will be FA pickup. Hopefully Jessie James or Cook) That's about it. I think Bodine is a backup (a good one), and will be replaced in FA. That will give Allen 2 vet centers. RB: I don't see McCoy starting. I could see Ford (can't wait to see him today) taking his spot, or a new drafted RB, or someone like Coleman from ATL.
  18. two great points by both posters here. but whatever you think of Allen, the article sounds like it's over the top in its criticism. Allen needs to fix the accuracy and touch on intermediate passes. Bills need an actual OL and WR's (or TE's) who don't drop the ball so often.
  19. Good points. But if TT was on our team this year, without McCoy to carry him, he'd be abysmal.
  20. I'd shut him down if I'm the Eagles. Sounds like it will heal properly if not reaggravated. WHAT!!! They found a fracture and didn't tell him. If that's true, that's an issue on a LOT of levels. If true, and I'm Wentz, I'm demanding a trade ASAP and sitting out the rest of the year (what he should be doing anyway so the fracture is not aggravated.)
  21. no way Star gets cut. He's been decent at opening holes for the LB's and clogging space. He's only cut if we get a DT in the 1st, and even then I don't see the need to cut a position of strength. Clay is gone. Esp. if we upgrade in FA with Jessie James, Eifert, or Cook. some great WR names in that list. I'd like a lot of them, esp. Marvin Jones.
  22. Didn't read it, but the claim is that Allen hasn't gotten better? Allen is still shaky in a number of ways, most notably accuracy and touch on intermediate passes. But Allen has MUCH better pocket awareness than he did in the beginning of the season. Which is good, since his pocket basically lasts 1 second with this OL.
  23. You make a great point. And the colts had a decent draft last year, despite all the moving down. my question is: are any good DL available in the late 1st/2nd round. Ideally we can trade back and still get day 1 impactful: OL, DL, and WR in the first 2 rounds. I love the idea of brining in a high quality vet center for a rookie QB. Bodine would then be a fantastic backup for that center.
