Highmark Stadium now requiring vaccination for entry
RyanC883 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
anyone know how to get a digital card besides clear (expensive) if you don’t live in a state that offers it? Since the CDC has the info of who is vaxxed, is there an app or national method? Would be nice for CDC to make one available. -

yeah, an issue when you generally drive up and back the same day. Getting there by 9 or so will be a pain in the a**. Really not well thought out. Seems they wanted to mandate it, fine, whatever, private business, but they need to have a good way of getting people into the games. Hopefully they have this figured out? -

is Clear a help domestically? I have TSA precheck, would Clear add much to that? -

Good point, but they will accept, "Government digital vaccine proof from outside NYS." I would assume this means that if another government accepts something, the stadium will accept it. Guess it can't hurt to double check, though. -

Thanks! I do not have Clear. Looked into that, but $179 is a bit steep for a vaccine card. Trying to find a free option. Might do it if there is no other option. -

If your out of state, this article may help get you a digital card. Still not sure if it will work for me in PA? I think most states are not digital. In fact, I think only CA, NY, and LA are? -

yeah, most states don't have them. It's just a ridiculous policy when most places that require vaccines accept photos. A card can be faked, a photo and show my license is much more convenient, and avoids having the card lost and/or destroyed at the game. -

and if you're not a NYS resident, like many or most people who attend games? -

good point, not only could you lose it at the game, but you could forget to bring it. Not sure why a picture does not suffice. Most places that require vaccines accept photos of the card. -

One of my main issues with it is as an out of state resident, I will have to carry my physical card. A picture of it is not accepted. I don't like carrying the original anywhere, could get lost. -
na, he'd prob run backwards. I like this idea, but I think when Allen is over-hyped, like yesterday, start with the run, calm Allen down, set the rhythms, hit deep stuff.

ESPN's MNF broadcast is unwatchable

Collinsworth is good, but he ventures into bizarre player worship and overall dorkyness at times that is just bizarre. He seems to me to fade as the game goes on. He tried to defend the lack of OPI on Tampa in last Thursday's game, got the ref, who stated it should be offensive OPI, tried to get the guy to change his mind, he didn't, and then still went on about how it wasn't OPI or is hard to call because how the WR is positioned. (the WR extended his arm, that always gets called in that situation exp when the DB falls down). I liked Collinsworth more in the past. Romo is now MUCH better than him. To me Collinsworth has become a cliche machine, Romo actually tells you what he thinks will happen, analyzes the plays, etc. -
agreed. It also likely has to due to the fact that our defense can't get anyone off the field down the stretch in the 2nd half. Happened against the Steelers, KC, etc. Need to have a shot to come back. I think JA is a clutch QB, but other circumstances have hindered his ability to make a 10+ point comeback. agreed. Also inexcusable for a team that spends wayy to much $$ and player capital on ST. (benching Moss for Breida on ST)

The Defense was good in the first half, but "well," I think is too much praise, IMO. 4 new offensive lineman and one sack?? Too many 1st downs in the 2nd half when you must get the Steelers off the field. Lots of quotes by defensive players such as Hyde regarding their subpar play down the stretch. I also agree this game was a lot of coaching mistakes, I agree with 80%. Mostly Daboll and McD, then you have uncharacteristically poor performances from Allen, really bad OL play, and Wallace getting abused.

I'd shake this off as a "bad day" for almost everyone but Daboll. Daboll needs a more balanced approach, and this isn't happening, and he appears to be too stubborn to realize the need for it. -
Singletary and Moss both. Lets activate them. I can't think of another team that gives the RB the ball less on a continual basis.

no one is panicking. I think some are wondering how we are a "better" team this year (what is needed to remain competitive in the NFL), when we did nothing with our suspect OL, or CB2 in the offseason, besides draft a few players later in the draft. Hopefully there is some in-season adjustment that can be made to the OL. The "it was the Steelers" is not much comfort when: (a) KC destroyed our OL, and (b) there are other great defenses in the NFL waiting to feast on this OL. In terms of Wallace, I'm generally a fan, but he has terrible games like yesterday from time to time. I think we need a more reliable game in and game out CB2. Again, not panicking, but discussing.

when Allen ran onto the field after the long kick return to start the game he was making the "quiet down" gesture to the fans. No one paid attention. He is clearly too hyped. It impacts not only his throwing ability (air mailing balls that should be TDs to Sanders yesterday), but also his decision making (not completing progressions and not noticing open WRs). The solution is twofold: quiet on offense, and Josh perhaps see a sports psychologist to calm down. no doubt the O-line is an issue, but Josh had some bad plays all of his own. They seem to be two independent issues to be solved.

Great points, I agree. Although you'd like to see a vet defense not "press" so much. And that White coverage play to Claypool? Claypool is a beast. I do wish White turned his head around, I think he had a better chance of knocking the ball away, but then again, if he misses, Claypool is gone. Like you said, great play by PIT there.

well, this article agrees with the OPs premise that "Davis was vastly underused and Allen needs to look his way more often." Bills report card: Offensive line, play-calls a mess against Steelers (democratandchronicle.com) Sanders is also good, no clue why Allen was so bad yesterday, and I'm thinking he needs to see a sports psychologist about playing in front of crowds.
