  1. I would like to say, with all the attacks on Fitz, I don't personally blame him for any of what has happened associated with him playing here. He is a true professional and He gives 100% to the team and has been good for the Buffalo area outside of football. I blame Nix and Gailey. Those guys should have known that Fitz was not good enough. They are supposed to be the football people making the football decisions. Why a quarternback was not drafted before is a mystery to me. Fitz was only doing what any competitor would do in his place. Try his best. Blame the football guys. I think Fitz is a good guy, and I wish him the best no matter what he goes on to do. I just hope it's not being the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills.
  2. Not exactly how I would put it, but can't argue with your point. It's true.
  3. I like the idea of a pay cut because it can save cap money this year and make cutting him in the future easier on the cap. He would be competition at the position also.
  4. Because a Harvard grad would realise if he gets cut, he gets nothing. He would be smart to negotiate a pay cut if indeed they plan on cutting him, which I believe they will. And He is also smart enought o know there won't be a marketr for him as a starter. So it's backup money he's looking at if he gets cut. It would actually be dumb to be stubborn and force the Bills to cut him.
  5. If they cut him, he doesn't get the money either, so it's in his best interest to accept a pay cut
  6. I'm counting on the new regime to have more sense than that..then they are stuck witht the cap hit this year and again next year
  7. He has a much quicker release than Tebow. I see your points though about his sometimes wild and inaccurate throws. Maybe he could be coached up, unlike Tebow because it's hard to un-teach a horrible slow delivery such as Tebows'..I do like his toughness. He stands in there and takes the hit to complete a pass.
  8. I would be surprised if the Bills give Fitz this roster bonus. The cards seem to say he's going to be cut. Personally I hope he takes a pay cut and stays. I'm not sure that will happen though. I don't see any team paying him anywhere close to what he is scheduled to be paid here. Matter of fact, I don't see him getting more than 2 million as a backup somewhere. If he takes a pay cut here, it would save alot of cap space and possibly make room for another quality free agent signing.
  9. Unfortunately because of the sequester, the White House will not be able to pay for any intervention. Just out luck.
  10. So we sign Cruz to a ridiculous offer, blow up our salary structure with no hope now of signing any other free agents, we lose next year's number one pick to the Giants which will inevitably turn out to be the number one pick overall. I think BoozeCruise is secretly a Giant's fan.
  11. Why? So he can come here and get paid for two years on a rebuilding team without a franchise quarterback? That is not a winning formula. The Bills need a quarterback, and then they need young receivers to grow with the quarterback. What's the point bringing in a guy that can hopefully play two more good years? I say no. Sign players that can play for more than a couple years.
  12. Because the cornerbaclk position is more important than the guard position. Also, it's much easier to find a guard than it is to find a starting cornerback. It's a passing league and you can't have enough good cornerbacks. 5 million per year for a starting cornerback is a relative bargain in today's game. Whether you feel he's a good enough corner is another argument, but obviously the Bills brass must think that he is. I must say his play improved alot over the last part of the year. He was looking pretty good in man coverage situations. Also, what would a team pay for a great return man? Add that in the mix when you consider what he's now being paid and I like the signing.
  13. He has no place in the new defense because the Bills didn't re-sign him. He's as good as gone.
  14. I think picking a quarterback at 8th overall in this draft is a reach. Yes, the Bills need a quarterback, but reaching for one at number 8 can only set the franchise back further. The Bills should be able to draft a very good player at number 8 that can help the team immediately. Go defense, then get a quarterback later.
  15. I Wonder how they plan on filling the gaping holes at reciever and linebacker if they don't get active in free agency
  16. There is no quarterback in the draft worthy of the 8th overall pick. If they pick a quarterback with that pick, they prove that they are stupid.
  17. Yes, the only way to keep your sanity as a Bills fan
  18. Wow, You have way too much time on your hands.
  19. This was a horrible signing by Nix. I could have seen it if he was given an incentive laden contract, but all that guaranteed money? What a blunder that was. Was there some other team out there competing to sign him? I really doubt it. makes one wonder why Nix gave him that contract. Makes me wonder about Nix.
  20. Terry Pegula is CHEAP!!!
  21. Maybe the NFL is making too many decisions based on money. Do they ever consider the fans when making decisions?
  22. I wonder who the Bills passed on so that they could draft Wiliams? Oh right , Dalton and Kaepernick
  23. Ever hear of Google? Try it
  24. I have no problem with Brandon being there and even tossing in his two cents, as long as the football people are allowed to make the personnel decisions. That's what they are paid to do
