I have found myself taking Collins in a couple of mocks. The athleticism is to just good to ignore at a position of need. If people don't believe yet that Milano is all but gone, they'd better come to terms with it soon.

What are your thoughts on Jefferson? Another later RB pick who intrigues me is Kylin Hill from Miss St.

Thanks for the feedback, GB. I really debated the #30 spot. Kadarius Toney was actually still there and who I was going to take but, in the end, I just felt that OT was the bigger need. If I had it to do over again, I believe that I would have taken Toney anyway. He could be the Bills' version of Tyreek Hill. Part of my thinking was that the Bills may try to extend/restructure John Brown rather than flat out releasing him. Assuming, a release, I definitely take Toney at #30 and grab an OT/G in the 2nd or 3rd Round. I believe that they need to add to (or replace, if Brown is gone) the speed element at WR. Gabriel Davis is not a one for one exchange at #2 for Brown, IMO. He brings a different skill set. BTW, I avoided RB entirely just because I didn't have the picks and things didn't fall the the way I thought would justify taking one. One guy I really like later, the more I see, is Jermar Jefferson from Oregon State. He's small but can catch and has a gear at the second level that Singletary and Moss do not possess.

Yeldon is JAG. He's the very definition of the mantra, "RBs are a dime a dozen." He has good hands but he's not overly elusive and brings nothing extraordinary to the table. Thanks for your contributions to the Bills and don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Should also be able to kick inside to G down the line, if needed. 61 (2nd Round): Jabril Cox - LB LSU -> Love this pick. The rangy and mobile coverage LB the Bills need to combat pass-catching RBs and TEs like Kelce. 93 (3rd Round - TRADE): Traded #93, #175 (5th Round), & #214 (6th Round) to New England for #96 (3rd Round), #139 (4th Round), & #159 (5th Round). 96 (3rd Round - TRADE): Traded #96 & 2022 7th Round to New Orleans for #98 & 2022 6th Round. 98 (3rd Round): Dillon Radunz - OT North Dakota State -> Wasn't a glaring need at this point but the value was too good to pass up. Can compete with Mayfield for RT and become the swing OT or move inside to G and is insurance in the event that Daryl Williams prices himself out of Buffalo. 139 (4th Round): Paulson Adebo - CB Stanford -> Athletic with good size (6' 1", 190 lbs). Good ball skills and can play on the outside in McDermott's zone scheme. 159 (5th Round - TRADE): Traded #159 (acquired from NE) & #234 (7th Round) to Tampa Bay for #177 (5th Round) #186 (5th Round). 162 (5th Round): Janarius Robinson - EDGE Florida State -> Help for the Edge. Good run defender with size (6' 5", 266 lbs) and the ability to also rush the passer. 177 (5th Round): Tre McKitty - TE Georgia -> Good value here, IMO. Athletic TE who can catch and block and can slide into the #2 TE role. 186 (5th Round): Josh Imatorbhebhe - WR Illinois -> This kid is intriguing with good size (6' 2", 215 lbs). Decent speed and good high point WR who can play the 'X'.

I don't believe so. I checked the '75 roster (his Freshman year) and didn't see him listed. He hay have been redshirted or not travelling with the 'big boys'.

I had a (2nd?) cousin who played DB for Pitt from 1975-1978. The starting QB his Junior year was future NFLer Matt Cavanaugh. I know my cousin was a starter for at least his Senior year. I never met him but my family had just moved to VA his Senior year at Pitt (my Freshman year of HS) and I remember my dad pointing him out to me on TV during a game and saying, "There's your cousin." I don't know which was more odd, seeing a relative with the same last name on TV or seeing Pitt on TV in VA before we had cable. 😉

I played 3 years in high school, as well. Sophomore year (JV) and Junior and Senior years (Varsity). Played C my JV year and OT my varsity years but mostly Special Teams. Had never played organized football prior to this and we had just moved to VA prior to my first year of high school (9th Grade) so I was behind the eight ball, not knowing the coaches or players that first year in JV. We were not good...I was 6' 0", 155 lbs my first year and weighed 166 lbs my last year...and I was a lineman. 😂 Of course, this was the early '80s. I had some speed and had great hands (seriously) and probably should have been at TE but we didn't pass anyway so it wouldn't have mattered. Our coaches, other than the DC on the varsity team, were completely horrible and clueless. The varsity HC was also the wrestling coach which was his background and they were semi-decent. My 'claim to fame' was that I returned a squib kick as the upback on the KOR team my Senior year. I caught it along our sideline and the HC was yelling at me as soon as I caught it, "GET DOWN!, GET DOWN!!" I remember thinking, "F you, you wuss, I'm taking this!" I got about 7 or 8 yards before my cleats gave out on a dewy turf and I hit the deck trying to make a cut. Ah, good times. lol I went to a basketball only D-I college so there was never any thought of playing football post-high school. I did attend every home basketball game though. BTW, my younger son played WR and DB (mostly) from about 11 years old all the way thru high school and ended his playing days at that level, as well, and is at my alma mater now.

And the Pouncey brothers just announced their retirements so that is another hole on the o-line for Pittsburgh to fill.

Doubtful unless he plans to sign for the vet minimum (not happening). Pittsburgh is currently about $30 million over the cap and has their own FAs to sign. And he wants to win a ring. If the Stillers run it back with Roethlisberger or even a rookie this year, they are not a true contender, IMO. They are close to entering 'drought era Bills' territory until they find a franchise QB, regardless of their D.

The issues with the run game certainly need to be addressed this off-season. Whether it's coaching or scheme, it goes deeper than just Singletary and Moss being ineffective or 'slow'. The Bills' run game ranked near the bottom of the league this year against 'light boxes' (6 defenders or fewer). That is disturbing and cannot continue.
