  1. Thanks, Roch. Allen had plenty of room to angle out of bounds and pick up the first down without having to take a hit, IMO. The slide was unnecessary and a poor decision on his part but that is nit-picking. Maybe he picked up the defender late and thought he was closer than he actually was but Josh more than likely would have won that foot race to the sticks. As it turns out, it was a moot point anyway. In fairness to everyone who thought it was a bad spot, I thought it was too when I watched in real time during the game but the evidence shows otherwise.
  2. The refs actually got something right...
  3. "Huh...I don't think I've ever actually seen a Polish motorcycle." *(Disclaimer: Yes...I am actually Polish on my father's side)*
  4. A Merry Bills Christmas and a Happy Bills Year!
  5. My mom grew up in the '50s and loved Elvis. 'Elvis' Christmas Album' was a favorite childhood memory of mine and 'Blue Christmas' is still my favorite Christmas song to this day. My mom passed in 2011 and I always think of her. Thanks, Mom.
  6. I would throw in white over blue, as well. It's sad when the monochrome red appears more than the throwbacks. If they want all blue or all red, wear them on an occasional 1:00 PM Sunday game, not on national TV.
  7. Why can't the damn Pegulas just leave well enough alone? Just wear blue on white at home. Enough with the red pajamas already.
  8. Nice. I went to several training camps at Fredonia State. My grandmother lived a few miles from campus down Brigham Road in Dunkirk. My sis and her bestie got a pic with Doug Flutie at the last camp there in 1999. The girls are both 5' 4" and swear they looked taller than he did. 😆 I have yet to make it to a training camp at St. John Fisher but hope to do so one day.
  9. That's awesome. I remember my dad taking the family to Niagara University one day in 1977 for training camp. I was standing by the snow fence with my younger brother waiting for the players to come over after practice and sign autographs. I really wanted O.J.'s. and he walked up with Reggie McKenzie and signed my paper. I remember that they were laughing as they approached...Reggie must have said something that O.J. found funny because I remember hearing O.J. say, "Legit!" right before he got to the fence and gave us his autograph. That 43 year old memory is etched in my mind like it was yesterday.
  10. I can't believe I forgot to mention #43! He was definitely one of my favorites. I was livid when his 100+ (105?) yard pick-6 was called back on a bogus penalty during a game in the Orange Bowl against Miami. That cost the Bills the game and there never would have been an '0 for the '70s' had it stood.
  11. I was a kid in the 1970s so those Bills players hold a special place in my heart even though they only made the playoffs once, in 1974. The 1973 squad...the one where O.J.Simpson ran for 2,003 yards...was my favorite. I can't pick just one player. Among my favorites were O.J., Bob Chandler, J.D. Hill, Joe Ferguson, Joe DeLamielleure, Reggie McKenzie, and Robert James.
  12. This game is the cure for insomnia...
  13. Atlanta and Miami. I read something several years ago that said there was a study done showing that Atlanta and Miami were the two worst pro sports cities across all sports, not just football. Any Dolphins home game you watch, the half filled stands consist of at least 1/3 or more enemy fans. The MLB Marlins are irrelevant as are the NHL Panthers and the NBA Heat are only noticed when they are front runners. There is just to much to do and see in South Beach and they have 'outdoor' weather year round, much like LA. Pro sports are secondary, unlike in the north east. Atlanta is just too transient and they are college crazy. The MLB Braves won the NL East like 14 years running and couldn't even sell out their playoff games during that time, the NHL Flames fled to Calgary and the NBA Hawks...do they even exist anymore (j/k)? Atlanta and Miami for me, not even close. Honorary mention to Jacksonville which is just an extension of southern Georgia.
  14. FWIW, Thad Brown grew up a Jest fan.
  15. They interviewed him not too long ago about who he thought his replacement would be and he said, "Well, it's probably going to be a woman and she'll have to be bright. She'll have to have a good sense of humor." RIP, Alex. I loved having you in my home every night and you will be missed greatly. Another tire on the 'Can't end fast enough' tire fire that is 2020... https://www.fatherly.com/news/jeopardy-host-alex-trebek-replacement-woman/
  16. If you really wanted a date, you should have grabbed a beer, offered the Zima to the girl you wanted to ask and told her you'd throw in a splash of grenadine, if she'd say 'yes'. 😉 What is going on here? I was wearing a Structure shirt Saturday evening (true story). 😃 Haha! Small world. Chess King was my go to place in the mid '80s and then it was Structure in the '90s until a buddy of mine and I walked in one day, looked around, and he said to me, "Dude, what happened? We're like 5 years too old for this place now." 😂
  17. I had just turned 30 that October. Still single and winding down my bar days and chasing skirts with my buddies. I was still two years away from meeting my future wife and four years from marrying her. We now have 18 and 20 year old sons.Talk about a chasm between 7-2 records. Holy cow. I don't need this kind of gap again. I may not be around the next time, if it's another 27 years. Enjoy it young'uns...savor every delicious moment because you never know when success is going to roll around again. GO BILLS!!!
  18. Dear Bills fan, Nobody knows how to screw up playoff seeding like me. Let's talk! Sincerely, Gary Bettman
  19. Happy Birthday! I hope you have a good day but that probably DEPENDS on some things...😉
  20. In fairness, they were going to be angry regardless. Faux indignation will be the theme of the day.
  21. Wild thingYou make my heart singYou make everything groovyWild thingWild thing, I think I love youBut I wanna know for sureCome on, hold me tightI love you
  22. I wonder if Seattle and their fans are asking the same question about the Seahawks' 'lucky' win at home over the Brady-less Pats*... Nobody seems to be discounting Seattle's win.
  23. Just until the Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sux start playing again.
  24. I have a black lab so, no...
