  1. I think many people on this board are just frustrated with a six year playoff drought and the thought of a franchise record seventh straight...not to mention that this team seems to be in a perpetual state of disarray with a front office direction that can best be called uncertain. Having said that, I agree with you that some of the personal barbs lobbed at Ralph and Marv are unwarranted. Ageism is a little recognized discrimination that is alive and well, unfortunately. How ironic that many of the same people making 'Depends' jokes about Mr. Wilson are probably barely out of diapers themselves. In the immortal words of George Bernard Shaw, "Youth is wasted on the young." All in all, a nice post Yoho. BTW, I'm partial to 36Cs myself so it's not just the whippersnappers on this board. GO BILLS!!!
  2. Take it to the political board, mister. We already cut our locker room "Lawyer".
  3. He's still under contract. Many were speculating that he would be released after Bentley was signed but Sirius NFL Radio said that the Browns were contemplating moving Faine to guard. The Bills should at least inquire about him, IMHO. All Cleveland can do is say no.
  4. C'mon, dude. That's not fair...we all know they're napping.
  5. I agree, BiB. My preference would be Ferguson and then Mario Williams but they will both be gone. If Vernon Davis is there, I take him or trade down. I'm not sold on Ngata and I definitely don't want him at #8 overall. I hope that there is a QB on the board when the Bills are on the clock so that they have some flexibility and a possible dance partner for their spot. (Whaddup Rich...long time no talk to!)
  6. Welcome to the world of the high revenue, free-spending clubs. Get used to it, it's only going to get worse as this joke of a CBA progresses in future years. The small markets got bent over once again.
  7. I agree wholeheartedly on Nate. Keep the faith o ye of the O-line filibustering. I'm with ya.
  8. I would have loved to see the Bills get Hutchinson, but come on...$7 million per for a guard?? Insane. You have to look at it in terms of today's dollars and it was an irresponsible signing. Then these owners turn around and scream poverty. BTW, is Anthony Herrera the LG to which you were referring?
  9. Because it would leave another player on the board for the Bills. See, they won't be taking a QB at #8. Think outside of the box, junior.
  10. You sure know how to turn on a man, you vixen you!
  11. I talked to a good friend of mine today who is a lifetime 'Skins fan, a season ticket holder and attends all of their home games. I inquired about Royal and he confirmed what most of us have heard/read about the TE: his pass catching ability is iffy at best, his blocking ability is very good. My friend believes that, overall, we'll be pleased with Royal as long as we're not expecting the next Antonio Gates. Bottom line: very good blocker with decent upside and a definite upgrade for the O-line.
  12. Why would McGahee want or even need linemen? Afterall, he is the self-proclaimed "best" RB in the NFL.
  13. "Big-market teams like Washington, New England and Dallas have tapped into revenue streams - from sales of stadium naming rights, luxury boxes, local sponsorships and other areas - that do not have to be shared with the other clubs. The result is Washington took in $287 million in revenue in 2004, according to Forbes Magazine, while the bottom-earning team (Arizona) took in $153 million. The Bills ranked 22nd at $173 million, Forbes estimated. That local revenue drives up the costs to all teams because it increases the salary cap. When Washington sells a luxury box for $200,000, the cap for every team gets bumped up an incremental amount. " http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060...?tbd1027103.asp "Yeah, we'll compete," he said. "We have to watch our costs in all directions and run a very cost-effective operation. We will be active in free agency. And we'll try to make prudent decisions on players. But we're not going to be able to throw money away like these high revenue clubs. That hasn't changed." http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060...?tbd1027103.asp Maybe you should try educating yourself about RW's reasoning before spewing your inane rubbish. Maybe, assuming you're a Bills fan, you'd like this team to STAY in WNY. Maybe instead of being one those people who scream that we should get this guy or that guy, you'll understand why we can't thanks to the continued "who gives a crap about the lower revenue teams as long as we get ours mentality" of the high revenue pricks like Dan Snyder. But I doubt you will. Hey, why not sell the team and pocket a nice "400 million", right Ralph?? Afterall, maybe you can move the team to Vegas and this assclown will finally be happy.
  14. Maybe this thing will get done before the draft. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2355861
  15. Excellent post with some very salient points.
  16. In a classic senior moment, having forgotten that he cut him, Marv will ink..................Mike Williams.
  17. Yeah, but "ol' fuzzy birthmark face" just didn't have quite the same ring to it. I took a little creative liscence.
  18. This has quickly gone from the sublime to the ridiculous.
  19. Brees is no given for them. Considering the fact that no new CBA was reached, they're on the wrong end of the salary cap spectrum. They'll need to do some serious purging to bring in ol' mole face.
  20. Will Rick James be appearing ala Bernie ('Weekend at Bernie's') because he's one dead B word?!
  21. I seem to recall that there was a rule in place that says a team loses a pick, and is fined, for every day that it is over the cap. I don't know how it would work in this situation.
  22. Are you a player or an owner?
  23. Living in Foreskins country, I despise them, their smug fans, and that little douchebag, Dumb Snyder, second only to the dolfags. These jokers have been playing with fire for years. Cripple 'em good Tags!
