I believe you're right, this would seem to constitute tampering. But do you actually think they'll do anything about it? No way in hell will anything come of the alleged Wes Welker incident, either. The league would never punish its fellatio partner up in New England.
-
Actually, I'd even rather see them use the extra 7th on something else and grab a FB immediately after the draft who's an undrafted FA.
-
I'd sure as hell rather see the Bills draft either Willis or Okoye than Lynch, as many on this board are advocating. Unless you're LaDainian Tomlinson, RBs are a dime a dozen.

I doubt that the American public is ready to elect a lesbian...although they did show a preference for Bush the last two elections.

Cowboy's Mascot man dies today

Was he scalped by that ancient African-American "Indian" who shows up at all the Deadskins games? -
Cookie Gilchrist! Great Article in Buff Snooze
ExWNYer replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read it, too. When I was a little kid, my dad used to regale me with stories of Cookie's exploits. Dad said GC was unbelievable. I was only a baby during his heyday and the Bills' AFL glory years so I missed out on seeing him. To this day, I wish I could have gotten to watch him play. It's too bad the way things have turned out for him but it's nice to see that he's letting go of his anger. -
Isn't it obvious, Dean? "Yasin's BILLS" is obviously the pseudonym of Mike Schopp. I can't believe it never dawned on you. Man, sometimes you can really be a huge dick.

Well, considering TD's current employment status...

Not without a trade down. Next. That's rude. He should have had the common decency to formally address you as "Richard".

Rich, thanks for restoring a sense of order to the board. These are some swell rumors that, if true, might actually benefit the Bills. You always hate to give up our most excellent players but sometimes you have to give to get, right? I am a little surprised that you listed the potential Shaud Williams deal, though...you, better than most, know that the Bills don't have a 5th round pick, but what the heck! Maybe Marv will acquire another to make this happen!! My only other concern is that the Bills might not be able to adhere to their "cash to cap" philosophy. Oh well, who cares?! Finally, some names we've heard of, huh? I hope these pan out. I'm finally excited for the first time this offseason!

OJ Simpson, Jim Kelly, Willis McGahee?
ExWNYer replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I pretty much agree with everything you've pointed out, but I don't think that my original point above can just be dismissed when embracing your theory. I think this is a classic example of the bad outweighing the good in keeping him. Like you said, "confluence of events". Timing is everything. -
Droughns? In a word...no.

OJ Simpson, Jim Kelly, Willis McGahee?
ExWNYer replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting and compelling take. The one major flaw with this theory is that Marv Levy was the Head Coach when Jim Kelly came to the Bills. He had first hand knowledge of Kelly and his feelings towards Buffalo. If Levy thought McGahee was a "victim of circumstance" and was poised for a similar breakout ala Jimbo's, don't you think he would have kept Willis around? -
"Hours after the trade was announced Thursday afternoon, ESPN.com learned McGahee will sign a new seven-year contract with Baltimore, the last two seasons of which are options years, that can be worth a total of $40.12 million. In terms of so-called "new money," the contract places McGahee among the NFL's five highest-paid running backs. McGahee will receive an initial signing bonus of $7.5 million and subsequent option bonuses of $6 million after the 2007 season and $1.5 million following the 2008 season, for a total of $15 million. The base salaries are $595,000 (2007), $605,000 ('08), $620,000 ('09), $3.6 million ('10), $6 million ('11), $6.5 million ('12) and $7.2 million ('13)." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2791831 Those kind of resources are better used elsewhere.

What should I do with my McGahee jersey....

I've got a replica throwback. We can sell them to the people bitching that we just traded our future HOF RB. -
RB candidates: dillon pricey & old, brown injury prone,
ExWNYer replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, getting two 3rd Rounders and a 7th Rounder for an average to slightly above average RB is a problem for you? When the going rate for a decent RB has been ONE 3rd Rounder? A RB with a 3.8 yards per carry average? A RB who couldn't pick up a 3rd and short to save his life? A RB who is represented by the biggest douchebag agent out there...who is looking for a big payday for his client of questionable character? A RB who said the Bills would be better off in Toronto? A RB who refuses to train in WNY during the offseason? It's not like the Bills traded the second coming of LaDainian Tomlinson. McGahee is still living off of his college hype...he's not even close to being that same player. He's a serviceable back and very replaceable. Try looking at the big picture. Cripes, if you guys were any more myopic you'd be blind. -

Plummer changes mind and accepts trade...
ExWNYer replied to ExWNYer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're right. The point is, the trade was made and is official. I guess we'll see soon enough if Plummer had a change of heart or whether he'll still retire. -
Plummer changes mind and accepts trade...
ExWNYer replied to ExWNYer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gruden's a whore for QBs. That was really an unnecessary acquisition. Maybe Plummer realized that the trade to a warm clime was better than being cut? -
Denver sends QB Jake Plummer to Tampa Bay for a conditional pick in '08 and also sends their 6th rounder in '07 to the dulfelons for DT Dan Wilkinson, per Vic Carrucci on Sirius NFL Radio (also reported on Denver's website): http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=3...mp;storyID=6604

Clements signs with 49ers, 8 years $80M
ExWNYer replied to Peter's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good. The thought of him in a Deadskins uniform made me ill. I can't stand Snyder and his monopoly money tactics. Good luck and thanks for the memories, Nate. -
Bills sign OG Derrick Dockery, 7 years $49M
ExWNYer replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I heard it, as well. I really hope they get this guy. The Deadskins really don't want to lose him but shoring up their 'D' is their top priority. Next to Steinbach and Diehlman, he's the best guard on the market. He's young and on the rise and has a wealth of talent. -
They can afford him...they're choosing to not spend the money it will take to re-sign him. Big diference. Buh-bye, Nate. Nick Harper, are you still up?
