Since the "consensus" right now seems to be Maybin
ExWNYer replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do I want the Bills to take Maybin? Two words: HELL NO! From what I saw of him @ the combine, I think he played himself out of millions of dollars and possibly the first round. Let someone else take a flier on him. -
Pop quiz: Which AFC team has currently gone the longest without a playoff appearance? Which NFC team? Go ahead. I'll wait.
-
He must have nude photos of Ralph and Russ Brandon...together (sorry for the horrible visual). Guy should have been let go a long time ago. Then again, given the Bills' current business model of ineptitude, he fits right in...

Translation: douchebag

Bill, who said he's turning down the Bills? I say he's just doing his due diligence. We don't know for a fact that he wanted to go to Miami. That was just as much media speculation, due to his past relationship with Pennington, as anything else. This is his last chance at a big payday and he owes it to himself to explore all possibilities. Is having Carson Palmer as your QB somehow worse than Trent Edwards? I'm not sure why people think playing for Cincy is worse than Buffalo. We're currently the AFC's Lions.

A whole lotta nothing going on at One Bills Drive.

And they continue to fall flat, chasing bad money after more bad money. And last time I checked, the cheatriots* have won more championships in the last few years than the entire NFC East combined. Certainly, they spend...but not like the drunken, empty-handed sailors in Dallas and DC. -

But all of those championships were won BEFORE Dumb Danny bought the team. They've won a single playoff game on his watch and went seven straight years without a playoff appearance. Granted, that's better than the Bills but not by much...and, considering his return-on-investment, I'd argue that Bills fans are still better off considering the amount of scratch that Snyder is charging Foreskins fans for everything from tickets to parking and all things in-between. -
No surprise here. He's more or less cornered himself and is hoping to sweeten his deal. It looks like it's the Bills or Bengals...or wait until summer when someone gets hurt and there is considerably less money available to him (not really a viable option for what he's trying to accomplish). This smells like a last-contract-of-his-careeer cash grab. The best offer between the Bills and Bengals wins, IMO. The Bills shouldn't budge. If he wants more than they're offering and Cincy is willing to pay then, buh-bye Coles.

Housh is a west coast guy and supposedly wanted to play closer to home. That's why he chose Seattle over Minnesota. Did he even visit an east coast team? I don't think the Bills would have had a snowball's chance in hell of signing him unless the money was outrageously more than anybody else. Cincy was probably the only 'east' team with a chance of landing him. Not really fair to criticize the Bills FO on this one, IMO.

It could be worse...you could be a Washington Foreskins fan. Watching your owner play fantasy football by signing the most expensive free agents available and having nothing to show for it...all the while charging you for a PSL for just the right to buy an outrageously overpriced ticket and buy even more ridiculously priced concessions and merchandise. Have fun with that. If you want to continue being a Bills fan, pain, heartache, and frustration come with the territory. It's kind of the Buffalo version of a PSL...the continual kick in the crotch you endure for supporting your team. -
Your original post (above) certainly makes it seem as if you believe that at least Curry will be available @ 11. Hypothetically, if Curry and Crabtree were there...I'd grab either one of them (Curry first). I agree with you 100% there; however, as the saying goes, you can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which fills up first.
-
You're living in an absolute dream world if you honestly believe that Curry will be available to the Bills at 11. He won't. You can take that to the bank...and it will be a minor miracle if Crabtree falls that far, workout or not.

Jesus H! No more reclamation projects, please. This guy has had multiple oportunities with several teams and has been pedestrian at best. Just say no. Thanks for the report though, Astro.

If they never win another game, it will be too soon for me. After the dulfelons and cheatriots*, they are tied with the Dallas plastic-faces as my most despised team.

Have you been talking to Zach Thomas' sister?

In hell...with Ralph.

Jerry Sullivan=Rob Parker?
ExWNYer replied to WinBeforeYouLeave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, that would be Ralph Wilson. -
I'd love to have him in Buffalo but I just can't see Houston letting him get away. It's a pipedream at best.
-
Hell no. Hindsight is 20/20, but I would've taken Ngata. In fact, I really thought that's who the Bills were taking...but then I should have known better with this bumbling, inept franchise. If my choice is Whitner or Leinart, give me Whitner. BTW, I'll take Trent over Leinart any day. The partying, golden boy, Leinart, is more concerned with catching an STD than throwing a TD.

No Changes Coming Can Only Mean ONE Thing
ExWNYer replied to BrooklynBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To the cellar of the AFC East? Oh, wait... -
Agreed. This is beyond exasperating. For the first time in my life as a Bills fan, I pray that nobody...and I mean NOBODY goes to any of their games next year. I know that's not realistic but Jesus H! When is enough a fuggin' enough??!! I'm sick and tired of watching that old douchebag Wilson run this franchise into the ground and making it the laughing stock of the sports world. How can The Dick Jauron be retained after three consecutive 7-9 seasons, with this year's 2-8 finish, 3-5 home record, and 0-6 division record constituting the worst of the three? How exactly is this "progress"??? The players "play hard" for him? So what...they don't play well for him. Mike Shanahan has a million times the resume than that of The Dick, yet Shanny's choke down the stretch this year cost him his job...but The Teflon Dick keeps bumbling and plodding merrily along. So turning over the coaching staff would hurt "continuity"?? Sure it would...whatever. It really hurt Miami, Baltimore, and Atlanta this year, right Ralph???? Besides, what continuity are you messing with after three straight 7-9 seasons? Are you afraid that a change will cost this franchise a shot at a team record fourth straight 7-9 season and tenth straight non-playoff campaign??! So you share the fans' frustration with the team's offensive woes yet you retain the guy (i.e., The Dick) who admitted calling the infamous Losman rollout against the Jest?? Oh, and his entire coaching staff (including the offensive coordinator), lock-stock-and-barrell??!!!!! What a pathetic, spineless, coaching-cheap, excuse-making-SOB of an "owner" you are. The NFL and hard working, hard-paying Bills fans in particular deserve a hell of a lot better. If you're going to retain this proven loser, please don't insult our intelligence as football fans. God knows there's a shiteload more of it on this board (scary, I know) than in the offices at One Bills Drive and at one particular mansion in Detroit. End of rant (for now).

That Is The Last Time I Use A Visa Card
ExWNYer replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saw it. Fun? Uh, no. Deserved? You tell me: 10 losses in a row to the Patsies* and 15 of 17. The unfortunate proof is in the pudding. If this team wants a better image there's an easy way to fix it. Starting winning. Consistently. GO BILLS! -

Nice job, Tippy...get this board fired up! It's time to circle the wagons and begin the ascent. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!
