  1. Does it really matter? He'll never be up for election anyway.
  2. Smith has done a great job in San Diego but he was not "let go". He opted to follow John Butler who was fired. A.J. could have stayed but chose otherwise.
  3. Yeah, he always had that smarmy used car salesman quality about him. Very annoying. Buh-bye.
  4. Pittsburgh, no question. Winning the Super Bowl and then not making the playoffs, a missed Shayne Graham FG from a losing season.
  5. I would but I tied for second...so you me, Jay. I can't believe how close it was at the top. Congrats to the winner, themadcap. Great job, Rick.
  6. Haven't you guys heard? He claims he's not negative. He's a self-proclaimed "realist". This constant fugging doom and gloom diatribe is a little more than old.
  7. Yeah, there's nothing pessimistic there. No free agent moves yet for 2007 OR 2008. No players taken yet in either the 2007 OR 2008 drafts. No allowing for the maturation of current players, coaches, or our first year GM. But "if we're extremely lucky in drafting/FA. Maybe." There's a difference in a realist and a pessimist. Just because you consider yourself a realist doesn't mean you're not a pessimist. Many people on this board are realists, myself included. Look at the majority of your posts this year. You ARE a pessimist. And, no, I haven't "had my head up my ass for 7 years" as you so eloquently put it. I'm as frustrated as everyone else and have advocated shoring up both lines for years. Sorry some of the sarcasm was lost in translation and I didn't use a smilie emoticon for you. I know you enjoy being a combative dickhead. It's who you are, "hero".
  8. You know, resorting to insults, rather than simply re-inforcing your argument is a clear sign of a tired mind. You have the right to disagree with my position but I guess u lack the vocabulary or the intelligence to do nothing more than throw around four letter words. I am sure Mom and Dad are proud of you 878102[/snapback] Harriet is a long-time, valued member of this board. Why don't you and your whopping 14 posts try learning some of the personalities here before posting your thin-skinned retorts. Get a clue, newbie. Your position on Schobel smacks of someone stinging from a bitter defeat. AS gets no pub outside of WNY and is just now making his first Pro Bowl. How the hell can he be "overrated"?
  9. I don't ever pull for them to lose, draft position or not. 8-8.
  10. Nice to see that you're back to your bitter and broken, pessimistic self. I've been worried about you and your starry-eyed almost optimism the last few weeks. Welcome back to the board. Merry Christmas.
  11. I was furious at the final play choice/sequence. I thought they should have attempted the FG but I can live with going for it on 4th and 5 instead. Just not how they went about it. Either kick the !@#$ing ball or get a play in with ample time to survey the defense and audible, if necessary. That was a total cluster at the end and a sickening way to leave your season on the field. Although I advocated trying the sixth kick, I still have a problem with settling for five FGs AT HOME. Does anyone else have a problem with this? That's simply too many points left on the field and is a recipe for disaster more times than not. This was as big a part of their downfall as anything else, IMHO.
  12. How, exactly, will signing him get them in salary cap trouble??? They are expected to be around $39 million UNDER the cap (give or take), second most in the league. You can't use the salary cap as an excuse to no re-sign him.
  13. They are officially eliminated, as is Pittsburgh, at 7-8.
  14. I went with the optimist in me rather than the realist and voted "YES".
  15. Sounds like she just needs a nice "guard rail" across the bridge of her nose.
  16. It's the same BS that Jest fans were saying last week. "If not for three big plays...". Yada yada yada. Aren't those "big plays" part of football?????! Good teams (or teams that want to be good) execute those plays.
  17. 1) Agreed. Watch the replay and see him look off Evans and come back to Royal on the right. Good job not to lock onto his favorite target. Sweet! 2) He's better, IMHO. If he maintains the 40 yard net average, that will seal the deal. Ray Guy played in a (fairly) warm weather site. He didn't have to contend with the elements that Moorman does. 3) Stupidest play of the year, hands down. But the guy is electrifying and has been more good than bad when healthy. 4) Ellison played a helluva game and Reed's "bull" through three defenders was a thing of beauty. It's nice to get significant contributions from unexpected sources. 5) Agreed. I was scratching my head over that but it's hard to fault the coaches for anything today. 6) Thank God for Schobel, period. He's underrated. The "high motor" comments are BS. 7) The run defense doesn't deserve much respect, but they earned some as the game progressed. Sammy freakin' Morris?? 8) Still hoping and praying, but he seems to be improving every week. 9) Contract year performance or not, the Bills need to go all out to re-sign him or they'll be taking yet another CB high in the draft. 10) Barring injury, Jason Peters has a bright future ahead of him. He's maturing into a very good LT right before our eyes. 11)
  18. Man, oh man, does that loss to the Lions really hurt now.
  19. Nice! Now will you JP haters please shut the !@#$ up so we can concentrate on shoring up our O & D lines in the offseason/draft. We DO NOT need a QB.
  20. When he officially signs with someone else, Nostradamus.
