Thanks for sharing this, Mickey. It brought back memories of my beloved mom who passed away way too soon in January of 2008. She loved her Bills through thick and thin and I'll always cherish those Bills moments with her and her perpetual optimism where they were concerned.
Absolutely nothing is wrong with that. In fact, it's fine. But did you see some of the ridiculously over-the-top, negative posts after the game?? For the life of me, I don't understand how people can't enjoy a win and can't enjoy the fact that this team is 4-1 and in 1st Place. If people are so consumed with some of the defensive shortcomings of this team to the point that they can't even enjoy the end results, what's the point in watching or cheering? Why subject yourself to such "torture"?? There's not a dominant defense in the league after five weeks of play and many, including contenders like the Patriots*, are horrible. And please don't bring up Green Bay. They have their flaws, too, including one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. After a decade plus of frustration and ineptitude, I just don't get how some Bills fans can't live in the now and simply enjoy the moment. Are the Bills perfect? Absolutely not. Are they a good team with room for improvement? Absolutely. This team will be in all of it's games and is exciting and fun as hell to watch. And really, isn't that all you can expect from an up-and-coming team at this point in its development? Lighten up and enjoy the ride, Bills fans. GO BILLS!!!
