  1. RANK PLAYER POS. POS. RANK SCHOOL CLASS HT. WT. PROJ. ROUND 15 Corey Davis WR 1 Western Michigan Sr 6-3 209 1 18 *John Ross WR 2 Washington rJr 5-11 188 1 21 *Mike Williams WR 3 Clemson rJr 6-4 218 1 Corey Davis at 10. Might be a little concern with the Bills picking another Mike Williams in the first round.
  2. Holmes is only a backup. A #1 WR locked in for the next 2-3 years who missed 11 games over the last 2 seasons. They need a solid, legit starter opposite Watkins if only for him to be the no.1 if sammy misses more time.
  3. Agree but safety is really deep in the draft this year.
  4. Looking at Denver's offense last season under Rick Dennison they liked to spread the ball to (2) wide receivers with 281 combined targets. In fact they had (2) receivers over 1000 yards- Emmanual Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. They did not use their TEs very much, only 57 combined targets to Green and Derby. The Bills really have only one NFL starting quality WR currently on the roster- Sammy Watkins- and he has not shown very durable. Corey Brown, the recent pickup from the Panthers is currently slotted as the no.2 WR but he is not very good. caught only 50% of passes thrown his way last season and will likely be on special teams duties. Seems like a very strong possibility the Bills will go WR and #10 and beyond.
  5. interesting, i did not know this! that never played a down for the team.
  6. agreed. CJ Spiller had great game in college and suited what Gailey wanted to accomplish with the offense. Could have had a longer career if he was more durable and had offensive coordinators who knew how to use him.
  7. He was a highly regarded pick and had a great college career. Many thought he was quicker than Orakpo. He just didn't work out at the NFL level.
  8. Without question Tom Cousineau. The Bills should have done their homework. Mike Williams a close second.
  9. Bills are dead last in the league in roster % of draft picks (22%). Chicago is right after the Bills and we know what a powerhouse they are. Perennial playoff teams typically have 60% of their roster home grown draft picks. There really isn't another way to build a consistent winner and they won't be until this changes. The good news is that last year's draft seems like a step in the right direction- unfortunately it could easily have been Rex's draft and not Whaley's.
  10. It isn't too late for the draft to used as the ticket sales initiative. Hopefully not but we all know it could happen.
  11. Bill Polian said that Kelly is flat out the most talented QB in the draft. Worth a gamble in the third or later IMHO.
  12. Whaley is one of the worst GMs in the league. His failure to address the WR position in last year's draft and rely on an Robert Woods and Sammy Watkins to stay healthy all season (while losing Chris Hogan in the process) should have been grounds for dismissal IMHO.
  13. --- has seen better days.
  14. it's practices like this that keep the Bills in perennial catch up mode and will add to their league lead of fewest percentage of team drafted players on their roster. The Bills clocked in at 23% or so drafted players on their roster followed by the chicago bears. Typical playoff teams have 60-70% of the players they drafted still on the roster.
  15. I'll need to see the Wonderlic score to be sure. His needs to be in the 30's at least (e.g. Tom Brady- 33). For everyone's reference Tyrod's is 15 (out of 50).
  16. You're absolutely right it is the call no parents ever want to hear. I am so sorry for you and your family. We will pray for you and your son to be at peace. Unfortunately I know what you are going through because the same thing happened to my son in 2008. Those addictive substances are absolutely evil in the way they destroy lives. Their is a national of organization called "The Compassionate Friends" that have get togethers where grieving parents can offer each other support. They should have a place local to you. It helped my wife tremendously. I encourage you to join if you are able. Thoughts, prayers and hope for peace to you and your family. https://www.compassionatefriends.org/
  17. a smart new coordinator would not try to reinvent the wheel all at once. he has a learning curve to understand the player's strengths and weaknesses just like the players would have a learning curve trying to learn a new set of plays in a new system. i doubt the play set will look much different at first, possibly with some new wrinkles. i am interested to see how well he calls plays that suit the situation and that are flexible enough to exploit the other team's weaknesses. will he call plays that are based on down and distance statistics or will he decide by gut / emotion / momentum? you aren't going to win very often if you run plays that your offense is not capable of executing consistently.
  18. if it means that the bills would keep robert woods if they let goodwin go then see ya, by all means. don't rule out the patriots signing him and turning him into a superstar, further humiliating the Bills organization.
  19. true. thank God they couldn't turn chandler into a star. only so much to work with. robert woods will be though.
  20. makes me sick. wait until the patriots pick up robert woods after we let him walk.
  21. I do like the fact that the new coach comes without any baggage or excuses. With Rex you had to wonder if his failing in New York was because of their GM Idzik truly purging the team of talented players or that he wasn't a very good coach. In hindsight it was a little of one and a lot of the other.
  22. a very challenging condition for a team sport athlete. the chicago media have reported numerous incidents and ancedotes while he was with the bears. good for a year.
  23. other sites abbreviate the picture when you quote a post. this one repeats the pictures in their entirety. this way seems better.
  24. scrolling through the pages for an answer has never been so easy . didn't find the answer but i'll keep searching for it.. which kelly?
