  1. The economy being bad is more of a reason TO broadcast the games on TV. As long as tax money goes into the Ralph in the form of renovations, traffic, etc. I think it is the right of the people paying those taxes to watch the game on TV if they so desire. Particularly the ones who cannot afford to spend a couple hundred dollars to see the game at the Ralph yet are forced to pay the taxes anyway. But this is actually not my biggest complaint. My complaint is that directTV subscribers get blacked out. They PAY to see the game. And the NFL does see a big taste of the money paid for the Sunday ticket by the subscribers. Everyone who pays money should be able to get what they paid for, period. I also don't think the blackout rule has a profound effect on attendance on game day in Buffalo. People that go to the games go because they love the experience. Whether the game is on TV or not does not even enter into their decision making process. I don't know of anyone ever who has gone to a game because it was blacked out. Maybe there are some, but I doubt it is anything resembling a significant number. If you are arguing that over the course of a few seasons, like say the current dirty dozen, people might be even more inclined to drop their seasons if they knew all games would be on TV. You could be right, I don't know. But in my opinion the answer to that problem is not blackouts, but fielding a team that does not suck ass. And for other cities who have problems selling tickets, try lowering the ticket price to a point where it doesn't require a 2nd mortgage to buy a pair of seasons. And it was horse flys
  2. It sucks to be him I guess huh
  3. If I thought I was wrong I would admit it. Like I said previously, Spiller did improve in some ways towards the end of the season, and I do not believe I have ever called him a bust (yet). But he still has a long way to go in my opinion. I hope he gets there, we will see. I still don't see him as a every down back however. He simply lacks the power at least so far. Of course just my opinion. Yours obviously differs.
  4. Religion or no, if Tebow doesn't hit that he is gay.
  5. Unless he marries and divorces a Kardashian
  6. My wife does too. Kim K. isn't exactly a Mensa candidate either. However she did figure out a way to run that scam and make an estimated 15 million dollars so maybe she isn't as stupid as I thought.
  7. Before he became a Kardashian how many people even knew who Kris Humphries was. Now he is one of the most disliked. Funny and at the same time sad that garbage TV shows like Kardashians influence the thinking of so many people.
  8. Do they say the name of the patient? No. I know several doctors and nurses and yes, they all have stories to tell. But if they think there is even a chance you could figure out who the patient is from the details of the story, they will not tell it. Doctors who violate HIPAA that blatantly probably won't be doctors very much longer.
  9. Here is one I think any company doing business in NYS needs some kind of filing with the state like your (considerably more official looking than mine) link shows. And I'm not sure was a "entity" is. But it shows principal executive office is in MI. I'm no lawyer, and after seeing both links I'm not sure now
  10. Can you imagine ole Jonas reaction when he saw the flag get thrown
  11. Ungrateful kid having a baby on SB sunday! Congrats!
  12. I would like to see a profit/loss for the State as the result of RWS as well. I find it almost impossible to believe it is significant given the small amount of games per season. But I have no facts to back that up any more than anyone else does. There have been studies done but they usually are done by someone with an agenda and show whichever side they are paid to defend. It is my personal belief however that the overall economic impact to WNY is not significant, and the impact to the state negligible at best. The stadium just isn't used enough to generate much revenue for the state. And Bills related salaries generating income tax is overall not significant either. Particular if some of the players and coaches have primary residences outside of NY. Mr Wilson himself is not even a resident of NY, though I'm sure pays some amount of tax to NY every year. Even the Bills corporation is not registered in NY according to records on the internet. Buffalo Bills, Inc 99 Kercheval Avenue Grosse Pointe, MI 48236-3618 Buffalo Bills, Inc in Grosse Pointe, MI is a private company categorized under Football Clubs and was established in and incorporated in Michigan. Keeping the Bills in Buffalo would be a very good thing for a city that has seen better days. But trying to make a case that is a good thing economically for NYS these days doesn't work in my opinion.
  13. No but in this age of renegotiating contracts at the drop of a hat, I propose taking care of a player that has not only performed at a top level for you, but has also not threatened sitting out a season if it is not done like some previous douchebag players have done. There is no legal reason that the Bills have to do it, but there is a strong moral reason why they should. The Bills FO claims to be looking for players of character. Well they have one and it is time for the Bills FO to show a little character themselves IMO.
  14. You can also think of it as "cutting your losses". One could argue that the mistake was made in the past for the county to build and agree to maintain the stadium, that cannot be changed. However does the state continue to dump money into maintaining the stadium? Or do they cut their losses and eat the one time cost to tear it down or whatever? Or does it fall onto the county and not the state? Are the terms of the lease with the Bills renegotiated for them, as primary tenant, to cover at least some if not all of the cost? There are multiple options to explore before the state should blindly give in and just throw money at it.
  15. I don't think its a need to rush as much as desiring Jackson to be paid what he is worth. For Example ... CJ Spiller: Five-year, $25 million contract. The deal includes $20.8 million guaranteed. Another $12.5 million is available through incentives. After 2 non spectacular seasons he is improving, but looks to be at best a situational running back at the NFL level. Fred Jackson: Four-year, $7.5 million contract. The deal included a $1.1 million signing bonus and a $650,000 roster bonus in the first year. $50,000 is available annually through workout bonuses. One of the best every down backs in the league. The unfairness irritates some people and they would like to see it rectified sooner rather than later.
  16. A supermodel that makes 50% more money than he does. Sweet deal.
  17. I don't watch the NHL game either for the same reason the NFL one sucks. But the NHL skills competition the day before is well worth watching.
  18. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  19. Not the first play, the bet was the first score would be a NY safety.
  20. Oh not even close. Just last year I think it was the black eyed peas were simply horrible.
  21. I missed all of that. I watched until it was painfully obvious she was lip syncing (about 30 seconds in), then stopped.
  22. Love the off season. Particularly pre-draft when optimism runs rampant Hey, you never know
  23. I suspect anything Bills fans would do would be seen as just that, Bills fans trying to get their guy in. However I applaud the emotions behind your question.
  24. Mr. Brandon, is that you?
