  1. Interesting. And how in the world is the NE projected cap 5.6 million below the Bills. If that is true, hats off the the Pats organization
  2. Its funny how these threads pop up every now and then. With nothing more tangible than "someone who is in the know" speculating about [insert billionaires name here] plan to buy the Bills. I suppose if people guess enough, someone will eventually be right. But what's the point of speculation other than killing time during another Bills-free post season?
  3. Not arguing with you at all. But that is exactly the post someone has made after every season during the current dirty dozen. No matter how strongly you feel about "would have" and "if only", ultimately it gets you nothing. Except maybe enough encouragement to buy your next years seasons
  4. I can think of 23 million good reasons.
  5. I agree. The Bills don't have to suck more to get a better draft pick to become better, they have to draft much better. Brady is the most glaring example, but all of your QB examples prove that point very well.
  6. You have a good woman there
  7. 4 years / $2.31 million. I'd take them peanuts
  8. This is exactly where you could use a scumbag wheelerdealer salesguy like Brandon involved to get maximum value. Nix is a simple good ole boy, so he will play it safe, take his pick and get at least one solid player out of the draft. Whereas a businessperson might be able to make a sweet deal for the Bills if he can find the right buyer. But bottom line, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a trade down from Buddy Nix. Not saying that's a good thing or a bad thing, just not his style from what I've seen so far.
  9. We can discuss the economic merits of the Bills being in Buffalo, but what I was talking about originally (cynically ) was Cuomos motives. I believe his motives were 100% political, and that he does not care much about Buffalo (or all of WNY) except for votes. I contend that renovations to the Ralph bringing extra money to the Buffalo area is the last thing on the Governors mind. Yeah, I'm a cynical S.O.B., but I have seen nothing from politicians in general, and Cuomo in particular, to make me think any differently on this matter. And based on this, I'd say my cynicism was well justified.
  10. Or try to find a Chan Gailey, one or the other.
  11. I absolutely am cynical when it comes to politicians. But are you saying in this case you think that Cuomo believes that upgrades to the Ralph are a "critical economic development investment" for New York? And there are not other needs in this state, like maybe people without jobs trying to hold onto their homes or feed their families, that Cuomo might realize is just a little more important than football stadium upgrades. But thinks that upgrading the Ralph will be a better political option for him come reelection time? If so, then you are far more trusting than I am. Far, far more trusting.
  12. Not sure what they will do or why they did what they did in the past. But I think I'd split the touches this coming season between Fred and CJ. CJ is not an every down back, but did show he can be effective. While FredEx isn't getting any younger and splitting duties with Spiller might be better for him over the course of the season and might extend his career by a season or two.
  13. Critical economic development investment huh. Not sure about that, but I suspect this investment by Cuomo will yield him some western new york votes.
  14. Best days behind him, sure. Even the Ravens knew that. But predicting he would get injured?
  15. I had no idea that those Rams players were drafted in the first round (I should have about Bradford anyway) until I read your earlier post. I don't follow drafts much at all. Bradford is a young QB who, to me anyway, seems like he has the raw material to be a good QB at the NFL level. Franchise guy, not at this point but who knows what his future holds. As opposed to Fitz, who is what he is and is not likely to get much better or worse. My point was that I was responding to the post by a Bills fan not wanting to be the Rams right now. I see a lot of potential in Bradford, they have a decent RB that should have something left in the tank, decent anyway WRs, and now have the makings of a coaching staff that might be able to make use of the raw materials on the team. And add to that getting a pretty early draft pick and a Bills fan saying he wouldn't want to be the Rams now did not, and does not, make sense to me. That is all I was trying to say.
  16. You are welcome. Coming from you I take that as a compliment.
  17. No I do not. But I am not a believer in the magic eight ball either. (Mainly because when I ask it if I have a chance with Eliza Dushku the response is always "Outlook not so good")
  18. You are a nice guy and run a great lot, but that was sprinkled with horse ****. I personally hate the blackout rule because I choose not to subject my family to a Bills game, but I would like my kids to be able to follow the Bills. I also feel that all of the people that pay to watch the game (sunday ticket subscribers) deserve to see the games. Not just the people buying tickets. As to all the concession workers etc. that support their families. Please. We are talking about 7 regular season games a year for people earning minimum wage for the 6 hours or so a game. The NFL and the over-the-air networks entered into a deal where the blackout rule was spelled out. If the NFL wants to keep it and the networks agree then so be it. But let the people who pay to see the game see it.
  19. That's always a sound policy.
  20. I seem to have struck a nerve here. I would take Bradford over Fitz in a heartbeat. S Jackson is no kid either, but is a couple years younger than F Jackson, and both Jacksons are every down backs as opposed to CJ. Johnson is a average WR so that's a wash. I would take Fisher over Gailey, Williams and the Stache .. pick-em. Like I said, not seeing superbowl for either team. But I didn't think the "I don't want to be the Rams. No way." post made sense either from a Bills fan.
  21. Sam Bradford, Steven Jackson, a couple average WRs, and now Jeff Fisher and Greg Williams or Ryan Fitzpatrick, Fred Jackson/CJ Spiller, Stevie Johnson, Chan Gailey and Dave Wannstedt No way you want to be the Rams? Granted I'm not seeing the superbowl in the cards next year for either team, but I can see reason for Rams fans to be looking forward to next season. The Bills do kick the crap out of the Rams in the most important category I suppose ... facial hair
  22. I don't give a **** if the Rams make the playoffs or not.
  23. Should apply to directTv sunday ticket subscribers as well.
