  1. I've been waiting a really long time to say this ... nice game plan coach Gailey!!!
  2. Not sure you can call what the Bills did last week playing a game. But they do have one, and only one, loss so far.
  3. Open air stadium in Buffalo NY in December. You can't blame people for not wanting to put up with that crap. Comparing to LA and Jax is a nonsensical comparison for December games.
  4. You are right, I am not. But you don't have to be clairvoyant to realize that when Gailey was out of work, if the Cowboys offered him a job as a HC or OC he most likely would have taken it. Not a big leap there. But to get back on topic at least a little .... I have little doubt that Nix does indeed trust Gailey. And that it will take a lot for Nix to fire Gailey, at least as much as that decision doesn't come down from above.
  5. Yeah that's exactly where I am. I can be comfortable and see the game infinitely better as you pointed out. And most important to me, I can watch the game with my entire family without having to deal with drunk (or sober) idiots and it doesn't cost me anywhere near the $350 or more that it would cost for us all to go to the game. I do miss the tailgates and the excitement of being at the Ralph, but overall I can't imagine what they could do to the Ralph that would make me want to go there Sundays.
  6. You would have to ask him, I am not clairvoyant
  7. Nice to see all the home opener excitement! Roll call huh ... my family and I will be in our family room all watching together (wish we lived close enough to tailgate before the game)
  8. And never hired him back when he had numerous chances. Much like Fitz, Gailey is what he is ... mediocre. And the best the Bills could hire at the time.
  9. Hali plays this week as well.
  10. Can't go wrong with that prediction
  11. It's pretty simple. When Mr. Wilson passes someone will buy the team. If that person/group wishes to keep the team in WNY I have no doubt that a deal will be done to keep them there. Having a few years left on a lease on that stadium would not keep the team in Buffalo. At most it would make the team a little less attractive to all potential buyers. If the new owners want to stay in WNY let them negotiate their own deal. This lease extension simply is the smart move at this time. No more and no less.
  12. New York Jets coach Rex Ryan said he didn't see Austin Howard use illegal hands to the face in blocking Mario Williams on Sunday. What he saw, he said, was his right tackle playing an outstanding game and keeping the $100 million defensive end at bay. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8362395/new-york-jets-rex-ryan-austin-howard-blocked-buffalo-bills-mario-williams-legally This was a matchup between a 100 million dollar DE against a practice squad RT. Hands in the face or not, Williams should have been able to blow up Howard all day long. Williams had a bad game, he should have just admitted it and moved on.
  13. I can only speak for myself, but it would be exactly the same except for those 8-10 days a year. I did overlook one thing though. My family enjoys going to camp at SJF multiple times every year. That would be missing for them as well. Do you really think the Bills are the difference between WNY being hell on earth or not? I think you should ponder that statement a little because I think you are being just a tad over dramatic
  14. You forgot the point where he guaranteed a win
  15. 8 to 10 days out a a 365 day year (2.74%) is a big enough quality of life benefit to matter? That plus there are 50,000 season ticket holders out of the population of the entire region. I'd prefer them to stay, but the Bills going or staying means exceptionally little to the overall quality of life for most people in the area in my opinion.
  16. Nah. People that pay 25% over market value for things don't become billionaires.
  17. CBS talking heads, who almost all picked the Bills last week, all except 2 pick the Bills this week as well. ESPN talking heads, who picked the Bills 9 to 5 over the Jets last week, 3 out of 9 (not everyone has their picks in yet) pick the Bills this week. http://www.cbssports...rs/expert/picks http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks I see a close game. But that's what I said last week as well, so what the hell do I know.
  18. Of course the team is for sale on the open market once he passes, and the other owners need to approve any sale. The team is currently valued at just over 800 million. What idiot billionaire or group is going to pay 200 million over market value?
  19. Perhaps. but the last time the Bills won 8 games in a season was 2004, so ...
  20. Nothing wrong with being optimistic, and there is nothing wrong with being a homer. But the Giants are the Giants, the Pack is the Pack, and the Bills ... well, are the Bills. Play a game with those 3 teams and tell me which of the three doesn't belong in the group It is only 1 game so far, and there has been some anger and panic expressed here. But I think for most it is more acknowledgement and resignation. For most at TBD this is not the first time at the rodeo. Maybe everyone should homer up and not give in so easily. But after the last 12 years, and the vast majority of the Bills history (under .500 for it's NFL existence) you can't really blame them for not wanting to get their hopes up too high.
  21. This should come as no surprise to anyone. Despite what you think of Rex as a person, there is no doubt he can coach ... particularly defense. In my opinion Rex > Chan + Stache. This above all else makes me dubious of the Bills ability to leapfrog the Jets for a shot at the wildcard this season. I figured the Bills would need to have more talent than the Jets on both sides of the ball to overcome the coaching deficit, and I figured it would take at least one more draft that was offense centric for that. I didn't plan on the Bills defense to look like a big steaming pile of **** Sunday though. Hopefully that at least was an anomaly that we will see corrected very soon (like this Sunday!).
  22. Fixed. What the fans think and what the players think are not necessarily the same thing.
  23. Assuming the second loss is to the pats* it certainly would be an uphill battle starting 0-2 in the AFCE 0-4 or even 1-3 and it would be hard to see a path that puts them in the playoffs without divine intervention for me.
  24. I could be wrong but didn't I see him punting during preseason as well? So he would be a backup punter in addition to kickoff specialist?
  25. At TBD that is every time the Bills get smoked.
