I agree. But the NFL wants more offense, not less, to make it more exciting for the casual fan.

Love it. A team that went 6-10 last year, has hit the awesome .500 mark once in the last 10 years, hasn't seen the playoffs this century, complete coaching change only 3 years after the last one... this is the team that the rest of the NFL is going to monitor closely in hope of acquiring for their cast offs. There is absolutely no logic that I can detect in the post. I do however, respect the level of optimism it takes to post such a thing.

Another thread was throwing around a number of 4.5 which seemed low to me. This number seems much more realistic. Still far to many unknowns to make any kind of an educated guess at this point. Including but not limited to: - How much of the Jets D was due to Pettine and how much was Sexy Rexy. - Who will be the starting QB. If EJ, how quick will he adjust to the NFL. - How well will Marrone's offense, which quite frankly did not set the world on fire at Syracuse, translate to the NFL. Anyone taking that bet now is either a gambler in every sense of the word, or is suffering from a kool-aid or negative-nancy overdose.

I think it would be better for everyone if you drink twice as much as you ever have during the tailgate, then pass out before the game. This saves you, and every Bills fan, the embarrassment of you being in the stadium.

I have a solution to this whole mess. Give the ring to me, a disinterested third party. I'm a big enough Bills fan to step in and take one for the team. In all seriousness I really don't give a rats hairy ass who gets the ring or anything else. I just hope it gets settled before the Bills make their way to SJF for camp so the 100 million dollar man to concentrate on the business at hand.

Do you have to stand to make noise? I get the concept of trying to disrupt the opponents offense. But do you have to stand to do so? If the people behind you are telling you to shut up I am totally on your side. But if like you said, it is only to sit down I am on their side. That's another reason I like to watch at home. Considerably less drama. I only have my wife telling me to shut up

You have to remember that not everyone thinks that standing for most of the game and yelling and screaming like a madman defines the "game-day experience". Just because some don't want to do that doesn't mean they do not enjoy the game live. There are areas of the Ralph where that is not only acceptable, but expected. And areas where it is not. To each his own.

The south is more laid back in general. But I think it tends to be more of a blue collar thing.

I personally think a stadium filled with away fans looks worse than an empty stadium. And it's easy to tell, just from the crowd noise on TV if nothing else. But for us needing sellouts in order to see the game on TV, away fans are better than a non sellout.

To make any kind of a bet now, with basically no data to work from, you need to be a real gambler. I'm not a real gambler. But even as bad as they sucked the past 2 seasons, they managed to win 6 games. And 3 years ago when they were beyond painful to watch, they managed 4 wins. Given that, 4.5 wins to me does not seem like a very big reach at all.

OK all you with seasons, time to start buying tickets to the rest of the games and sell them out too!

Yeah my wife got club seats from her financial planner, now she doesn't want to sit in anythng but club.

I have seen party buses from Toronto and Montreal at Sabres games many times. Bars generally set them up and it's all you can drink all the way to Buffalo. I have talked to some people who were on the buses and they said it was a great deal for them. Their entire cost was less than what it would cost just to get a ticket in Toronto or Montreal. One of the guys told me once that 2 "kids" on their bus got so hammered on the way that arena security in Buffalo refused them entrance. That's the smart thing for security to do. I have seen people so hammered at the Ralph they could barely stand, but if they had a ticket they were allowed in.

You are right, it has changed radically. But it did 3 years ago as well. We all know too well how that turned out. As you pointed out, radical change does not equate to success, but it also does not equate to failure. In my opinion a wait-and-see attitude is far most prudent than either saying the Bills will suck with no proof yet, or that the Bills will be good also with no proof yet.. The biggest difference for me over three years ago is that the QB situation has been addressed (finally). No one knows if EJ will be a "franchise" QB or not. But at the very least the Bills F.O. got the QB they wanted and the fans have something at that position to look forward to.

Man people must have been making snowballs for hours before that started. People in the same industry tend to meet one another. I have met al kinds of people around the world in my industry. Hey, I'm not saying it is true or not true. Only made the observation that if Gordios characterization of the crowds at the various stadiums is accurate, then it could be true. I have no freaking idea of the actual stats, one way or the other

Introduce? He isn't new to the organization. Just got a promotion. A GM promotion from within is not as sexy as a new head coach or QB so not that big a deal.

It does seem unlikely to me. But if like you suggest the Ralph indeed is full of younger, hard drinking, blue collar types that have been tailgating all day and the other stadiums are filled with older white collar people who show up just for the game then it could be at least possible. Plus if the info is coming from a sheriff who works at the Ralph I would tend to believe that over Wikipedia. All I was saying was if your characterization of the crowds is accurate, it could be possible.

So the Ralph is filled with 20-40 year old blue collar hard drinking crowd where as long as you keep your head down and sit in the better seats you should be fine. While most of the other stadiums are filled with mainly white collar corporate types. You basically just made his point that it would indeed be possible for the Ralph to have more arrests than the other stadiums if what you said is true.

It is a bad idea in my opinion for both sides. Team: Gets a, probably disgruntled, player for one more year ... and then what? Player: Risks a career ending injury with a one year contract when he could probably get a long term deal somewhere. The player put in their time with the rookie contract, Time to let them put themselves on the open market if they choose.
