When did you know the Bills might lose today?
CodeMonkey replied to covac23's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When Sammy and FredEX were listed as questionable and either going to miss the game completely, or be at far less than 100%. -
No how, no way, was this a sure win. Never was.

With that "long season" comment it sounds to me like he is mentally preparing himself for when/if he won't be able to go. I guess we will know Sunday. But even if he can go, it does not sound like he will be anything close to 100%. I hope if he is marginal, Marrone and the Bills error on the side of caution.

There are several simulation type sites that agree with you. They state it as a must-win game for both teams if they are to have a chance.

i watch almost every Bills game recorded so we can watch later in the day with no commercials or halftime. I won't have the car radio tuned to a sports station etc that day so I don't hear the outcome or even in progress scores. If I know the outcome it does take something away from the experience. But the mere fact that the game itself is over has no effect on me. Once when we got home my wife turned on the 6pm news and it was exactly when they showed the Bills final score. Now the standing rule is if anyone seems her making a move for the remote, she gets tackled

Correct! The last time I checked, they had TVs in Vegas. Time away from the kids ... in Vegas? Tell your wife if she can talk my wife into watching my kids, I'll join her hehe Dude ... DVR.

Unless something happens like Manning going down, no way the Bills beat Denver in Denver. GB is a bit of a long shot, but possible. Particularly at the Ralph and if Fred and Sammy are back and at nearly 100%..

The "experts" take Week 10 - Chiefs at Bills

College town, a lot of students from downstate. Maybe that's the reason?

I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. So you have the Bills losing to both the Jests and the Raiders, and finishing behind the Jests who are currently 1-8. I'm not much of a gambler, but yeah, give me a piece of that please

Updated original post with ESPN picks -
Granted. But given the teams the Bills have fielded in the past decade, that is saying very little.

Week 10 Predictions: Chiefs @ Bills
CodeMonkey replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As much as I would like the Bills to win, they have been the ones getting lucky and winning the close games lately. At some point that luck has to run out. Chiefs 23 - 20 -
You sir are the very definition of the ugly American, and you do so proudly But you can't really make any kind of comparison between the Toronto fiasco and putting a team in a foreign city. All the Toronto series did was to have a ****ty team play one regular season game, and one worthless preseason game with scrubs playing, in Toronto per year. The difference between that and having a team based in a city is so huge, there should be no reason to explain why .... everyone should be able to see that. But the real motivation for wanting teams outside the US is obviously money. You say the NFL is making more money than they need, but the NFL obviously disagrees with you. They need MORE always. And they have pretty much saturated every US avenue they can. I doubt they could wring much more out of the US TV contract for example. The only solution is to open up more markets. They will never get foreign TV to pay what they want without teams in those foreign markets. It's really as simple as that. It's the NFL remember, show me the money.

CBS with spread (Bills +1.5): 3 take the Bills and 5 take the Chiefs CBS Straight Up: 4 and the computer take the Bills, 4 take the Chiefs. Home field "advantage"? Game forecast....

Agreed. They should be out practicing in it as that's been the weather here for the past several days anyway. Not much different in KC so it should not be to any teams advantage. Just win baby, No excuses!
