  1. Unless something happens like Manning going down, no way the Bills beat Denver in Denver. GB is a bit of a long shot, but possible. Particularly at the Ralph and if Fred and Sammy are back and at nearly 100%..
  2. Cortana isn't drinking the koolaid
  3. College town, a lot of students from downstate. Maybe that's the reason?
  4. I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. So you have the Bills losing to both the Jests and the Raiders, and finishing behind the Jests who are currently 1-8. I'm not much of a gambler, but yeah, give me a piece of that please
  5. Updated original post with ESPN picks
  6. Granted. But given the teams the Bills have fielded in the past decade, that is saying very little.
  7. As much as I would like the Bills to win, they have been the ones getting lucky and winning the close games lately. At some point that luck has to run out. Chiefs 23 - 20
  8. Basketball is already reasonably popular in Europe so that makes sense.
  9. You sir are the very definition of the ugly American, and you do so proudly But you can't really make any kind of comparison between the Toronto fiasco and putting a team in a foreign city. All the Toronto series did was to have a ****ty team play one regular season game, and one worthless preseason game with scrubs playing, in Toronto per year. The difference between that and having a team based in a city is so huge, there should be no reason to explain why .... everyone should be able to see that. But the real motivation for wanting teams outside the US is obviously money. You say the NFL is making more money than they need, but the NFL obviously disagrees with you. They need MORE always. And they have pretty much saturated every US avenue they can. I doubt they could wring much more out of the US TV contract for example. The only solution is to open up more markets. They will never get foreign TV to pay what they want without teams in those foreign markets. It's really as simple as that. It's the NFL remember, show me the money.
  10. Updated first post with playoff implications information.
  11. Microsofts Cortana - Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills — Chiefs win, 61.4% chance Nate Silvers Elo Model: Chiefs favored 53% to 47% with a Elo point spread of 0.5. CBS with spread (Bills +1.5): 3 take the Bills and 5 take the Chiefs CBS Straight Up: 4 and the computer take the Bills, 4 take the Chiefs. Some bonehead named Ryan Wilson picked the Bills straight up but the Chiefs with the spread (Bills getting 1.5) ... WTF ESPN: 4 take the Bills and 9 plus the computer take the Chiefs. Article from fivethirtyeight (Nate Silvers site) about playoff implications of this weeks games. Bills/Chiefs listed as an important one. "Other games of note include Kansas City visiting the Buffalo Bills, which will have huge playoff implications for the two participants (the rest of the AFC is mostly indifferent)." http://fivethirtyeig...mi-and-detroit/
  12. I was just about to post this story as well. But here is another link about it. http://www.sportingn...d=SOC/FB/SNMain Lauren has showed a lot of class and poise during it all as well. I can't even imagine being that young with terminal brain cancer.
  13. Nooooooooooooo ... not Naaman again!
  14. Here is an idea for you http://techcrunch.com/2014/11/04/how-the-49ers-are-using-beacons-to-help-you-find-hot-dogs-and-beer/
  15. If you do not work in marketing, you missed your calling. Way to swoop in there
  16. Agreed. They should be out practicing in it as that's been the weather here for the past several days anyway. Not much different in KC so it should not be to any teams advantage. Just win baby, No excuses!
  17. Most football fans, but not Bills fans, that I know think the Bills should have 1 or 2 wins so far this season (Jests and Vikings). Not saying I necessarily agree, but that seems to be the perception. Bills have been "lucky". FG kicker missing 3 out of 3 in a game, opponents top RBs going out in the first series etc.
  18. But to what end? Is going from 2-14 to 4-12 going to save them any embarrassment? I know what you are saying is correct, but I would feel the same way if it were the Bills. If the Bills were 1-7 or 0-8 right now I'd want the Bills to know once and for all about Manuel and would want him starting the rest of the season. Granted I'm not buying tickets however
  19. And that's what I don't get about the win games now at all costs mentality of the NFL. At this point, the Jests are done this season. They know what Vick is. Why not let Geno play it out? If he gets better with the experience and wins some games in the process, great. If he doesn't then you know for sure you need a QB and the losing moves you up higher in the draft. Sucks for the people buying the tickets, and they would hear about it (particularly in NYC), but trying to eek out a couple more wins with a known quantity veteran QB makes no long term sense.
  20. Really? Given that the Bills play the Jests (at home this time) and the Raiders? The Chiefs and the Browns are also winnable, particularly being at home. Lucky to win 2 more?
  21. I was hoping Manning was saving that bad game for the Bills
  22. Strongly disagree. Divisional opponent who is also 5-3 is at least as important, if not more so. NE* is taking the AFCE, that is pretty much a given at this point. Which means the Bills need to finish ahead of the fish.
  23. According to a simulation site, it was a pretty bad day for the Bills chances after all: Buffalo Bills Playoff Chances Did not play, playoff odds down 6.9 to 23.6% http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html
  24. If I remember correctly, Cowher said before that he would want a franchise QB in place before he would coach a team again. Didn't want to take the time to find, then develop, one himself. Neither the Jests or the Bills have a franchise QB on the roster. I could see the Jests wanting Harbaugh, the question is would he want the Jests.
  25. Good god I sure hope you are kidding. It's !@#$ing football man, not life or death.
