Buffalo Media Interview with Lynn

Poorly thought out? I think the opposite. Every one of these "journalists" is just drooling to be the target of a Rex Ryan flip out. It would make national news. Scrubs. -
I also read about this "rumor" on a SU sports message board. If true...may explain the lack of execution and cohesiveness. Remember how poorly the team played while Hop was at the reigns? This is some BS if true. Bad for the team, bad for recruiting (these players all know each other and talk), and it's bad for me to have to watch this crap. JB proved me wrong last year. I hope he does it again this year. I will continue to tune in regardless. Go Orange.

It must be frustrating for him. Losing your top 3 scorers from a season ago, and adding 2 freshman and 2 grad transfers to the mix must be tough. Especially putting all these guys together, with varying experience, and asking them to play the 2-3 zone defense. This defense takes time to learn and perfect. I maintain, however, that JB is mishandling this team. Based on what I've seen, my ideal starting 5 would be White/Battle/AW3/Lydon/Coleman. I think they need to put Battle out there and ride him like a horse. He may be the most talented player on the team, and needs to work through his mistakes. I'd start Howard, but split time with Gillon depending on who has the hot hand. Coleman is a token start, as I think TT is our best option at the 5. The best defensive/rebounding line-up would be Howard/Battle/AW3/Roberson/Lydon, IMO.

Boeheim is ruining this team. I feel blasphemous in saying this, but I think it will be time for him to step aside after the season. The really bad part about this is that recruits/grad transfers see how JB treats his players. Tyler Roberson has been completely destroyed by JB. I fear Battle and Howard are not too far behind. They just look lost out there. No intensity, no anger, no happiness....no emotion. The saddest part about this year's team is that I honestly believe the talent is there. I don't want to put all of this on JB, but it is getting difficult to look in the other direction all the time.

Buffalo has more offensive touchdowns than every team in the NFL with the exception of New Orleans and Atlanta. They're doing something right. Tyrod has had his hiccups, but essentially he is doing what they are asking him to do. His contract is actually quite cap friendly for a NFL starting QB. I think we will regret it if we just cut ties with him at the end of the season. Also, drafting QB's is such a crap shoot. For every Derek Carr, there are ten Blaine Gabberts. I'm not saying we shouldn't draft a QB in '17, but hang on to the known commodity until we draft a QB that is better.

Places to eat in Buffalo this weekend

No, just one kind of truffle. -
Bortles and James? Really? Have you been living in a secure bomb shelter, cut off from society since August? Bortles has been painfully bad this season. His throwing mechanics are so jacked up...he begins his throwing motion at his ankles. For those wanting Tyrod to restructure his already cap friendly contract...watch him laugh at Whaley and Overdorf, go to Denver and win a ring. Yeesus help me!

I went to the Black Iron Burger in midtown Manhattan a couple weeks ago. It was a mushroom-truffle burger. Some fancy shrooms, truffle slices, thick cut bacon, and slices of black truffle. 11$ with a load of great french fries. Maybe the best burger I have ever eaten. -
Roberson is firmly in the JB doghouse. He's a horrible free throw shooter, and a below average shooter. What was keeping him on the court was his rebounding and defense. He isn't doing well at either this season, unfortunately. Remember when Roberson had that sick rebounding game against Duke last year? Like 18-20 rebounds? Man, I think Boeheim ruined this kid.

Probably steel from Mexico. I got a nice set of Henckels as a best man gift. Very solid knives. -
Man, Taurean Thompson is going to be scary good. All the qualities that the NBA looks for in a power forward. I hope he is able to fly under the radar for this year. Nice to see Battle knock down some shots, and I liked what I saw from Gillon. This team boggles my mind. It's the inconsistency with shooting, but most importantly the inconsistency in intensity/confidence. They look like world beaters against E. Michigan, but look like doo doo against fringe tourney teams like South Carolina. If I could pick a starting line-up entering conference play I would pick Gillon, Battle, AW3, Lydon, DC2/Thompson. Hopefully Lydon's injury is not serious. Achilles injuries scare me.

Agreed, free throw shooting was terrible. Not the only reason we lost, but a big one. Turnovers and being crushed on the boards once again didn't help. Frank Howard, especially in the second half, was giving the ball away like he hated it.
