  1. No, I think you’re misunderstanding me. That coaching staff had no idea. I’m suggesting that him reporting that he had been thinking about doing this for a long time is pure BS. Again, I don’t know for certain, but I think he’s now trying to save face.
  2. I read this also, and this makes his decision all the more head-scratching. I feel like there are only 2 possible scenarios here. Either he was not going to be eligible and the g league was his only option, or he stupidly made this decision based on promises of large sums of money (“loans”) from an agent. Could be that scenario A led to scenario B. Smokescreen ? Much easier to say it was his choice, rather than admitting that he was ineligible.
  3. I haven’t heard any accounts that he made up his mind to do this a while ago. Where did you hear/see this? I know the media pundits are portraying him as a trailblazer, and it may turn out that way coincidentally, but I’m hearing that he was all-in on Cuse up until recently. Seems a bit odd to me, and certainly seems to support what my guy is saying about eligibility issues forcing his hand. Who knows? I completely agree with you that he gave the Cuse coaching staff the ultimate bag over the head punch in the face. I’m pissed, and I can’t imagine how the coaches feel. I hope in the future that NBA GM’s/coaches consider his actions as they relate to his character (maturity, loyalty, etc...).
  4. I think he really wanted to play at ‘cuse. I don’t think he was going to be eligible, and made this decision to save face. Make it appear as though he willingly chose a year of the g-league over major college basketball.
  5. He definitely upgraded. Schaaaaawing!!
  6. Some pure gold on here ?
  7. If Baker Mayfield was facing the death penalty via lethal injection, what would he want his last meal to be? I say good cast iron pan fried chicken, his grandma’s macaroni and cheese, and grilled polenta with a roasted garlic, basil aioli. Carrot cake for dessert. Thoughts?
  8. And it’s a beautiful day here in Vermont. Let the light shine in ?!!
  9. 31 and 35? I’m 39, and the 35 year old looks like she could be my mother. See?! Crack whores can be good for your self esteem.
  10. Rudolph has tiny hands for such a big dude. Must make his wang look huge when he’s holding it.
  11. Right?! I’ve done some nasty things in my day with women, but....
  12. There are few 5* guys we have a chance at for 2019. I also hear JB and crew are making a late push for 2018 C Majur Majak from New Jersey.
  13. It’s a kick in the pills for sure...
  14. Hop was Battle’s primary recruiter. Allen Griffin was the one who lured Bazley.
  15. Autry? He is known for being an excellent recruiter. Take it for what it’s worth, fellas. What I’m hearing from my guy on the hill is that Bazley might not have made this decision by choice. May have been serious eligibility issues. I’ll just leave it at that.
  16. Agreed, however, Boeheim’s coaching style (particularly the way he treats his players) is antiquated. Kids (and parents) are different these days. Boeheim has developed a reputation for being a d**k, and I think it has affected recruiting. How many other major college coaches do you see screaming at their players on the bench? Not many. That approach just doesn’t work with these kids anymore. And who the hell knows what goes on in the locker room...behind closed doors. Not saying this whole mess is JB’s fault at all. Just pointing out that maybe he is long overdue for retirement. Letting Hop walk is going to haunt this program for some time, IMHO.
  17. Hearing now that Moyer leaving had less to do with potential PT next year, and more to do with Boeheim treating him like **** after his ankle injury. There may be some substance to Moyer having some influence over Bazley’s decision after all.
  18. Wonder if Moyer would have left....if Brissett declares we are screwed.
  19. It is my understanding that he will be eligible for the NBA draft upon completion of the G League season and after turning 19. It was also just brought to my attention that those agent “loans” are now legal, and he likely is being paid handsomely by someone for making this move.
  20. Requirement for NBA is age 19 and one year out of HS. Minimum age for G League is 18. This is unprecedented. He’s going to make somewhere between 19,500-26,000 this season instead of playing major college basketball. What a joke.
  21. Darius Bazley de-commits from Syracuse. Will jump directly to NBA G League. ??
