Heres how rational adults think through these thing: 1) yes - I understand foreign powers are always trying to knock off the king (or whatever gender-neutral term is the equivalent in your undergraduate world). I’m sure it’s been going on as long as countries have existed. 2) Going off of point 1, I'm sure that nothing during the Obama administration was different. That Russia, China, hell, probably even some quasi-allies were engaged in various sorts of “spy craft” and other nefarious activities. 2a) I’m also confident the US engages in similar activities (as a hypothetical: if the Obama administration tried to influence Israeli elections by working against Benny N) 3) given 1 and 2 - the US has to do a better job than the previous administration did to guard against this. 4) fortunately, despite the shortcomings of the previous administration, there was no quantifiable impact on our election in 2016. Unless you have evidence to suggest otherwise. If so, I’d love to know how many votes were changed, in what states? Or how many people were swayed to vote in a way they otherwise would have? What information were they subjected to and how did it make them change their vote? thanks, I’ll wait for you to confer with your women’s and gender studies professor for your response.

It’s funny. All of the election “interference” happened during the Obama administration. The same Obama that laughed at Mitt Romney and when Romney suggested Russia was a threat. The same administration that allowed the sale of uranium to a Russian company. The same administration that didn’t do anything when Russia annexed Crimea. And you really think the Russian would want to disrupt the gravy train for Obama’s third term??

When you can’t make a valid argument based on the meaning of words and facts, just change them. Move the goalposts so to speak. Speaking of which, I wish we could move the goal posts a little more to the right, then the Bills would retroactively be Super Bowl XXV champs!

The whole left/right dynamic is a fallacy. Both parties are now far left of center, with the defining characteristic being size and scope of the Federal government. The main difference between the parties now is just branding with some small policy differences. Dems = whackjobs who see victimhood and oppression in everything. Repubs = moderately tapping the breaks on crazy, but still advocate for larger budgets and government. What happened to Federalism?

Jason Gay in the WSJ was writing a tongue in cheek article about the Montreal/Tampa Bay rays exploratory idea. Deep in the article he talked about other possible team merges and goes with the Buffalo-St. Barth’s Bills. It’s kind of funny. At this point in Josh’s career and based on what he did last year, there is absolutely no certainty on where his career will take him. He could be great, he could bust. Last year he showed a lot of promise but there are obviously still a lot of areas for improvement. But it on today’s world, everything gets put into a binary and Josh Allen is no exception. Pundits like Schatz must have an opinion and it must be one extreme or the other. Schatz, being on team nerd, is clearly going to fall into the Josh sucks camp.
