In my limited opinion, the defensive side must be simpler as they must react to what's coming. A body must be put on a body ASAP. Too much pre-snap thinking causes delays, thus open bad guys. If a team has a front four that can beat their guy 60-70% of the time, complexity isn't needed, Schwartz defense as an example. The occasional blitz causes extra thinking on the O's part which is good....

The K-gun was a relatively simple offense, allowing the players to just use their talents........hopefully this would be the same?

Unfortunately, we're "retooling" a formerly awesome defense which has players playing against their strengths.......I'm not seeing anything better than 10th ranked. Offense better be a healthy lights out : /

I think the biggest problem was the fixing of something that wasn't broken..........(defense) That spawned everything else.

I agree, if your people are PRODUCING and happy, don't F with the system, it's now completely broken..... Not real hard to figure out......we tried changing things up before and got killed (not that they were real good back then). Now, they've screwed up awesome : /

The system shouldn't have been changed....... 4th ranked defense in the league with a 1st year coordinator. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. At least don't totally revamp for gods sake......
