Training Camp tweets and media reports, Week 2
rsxfirefighter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
maybe he heard the rumors that Ron Brooks was on the chopping block as a potential roster cut and felt like throwing the kid a bone to help save his job? -
ESPN Nation projected roster
rsxfirefighter replied to Kemp2Warlick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It has been rumored for a while that if Pears loses the starting job, he will be a cap causality if Hairston is back to being healthy -
Just for clarification purposes, that thread was also started by Ice Bowl 67 who is our resident GB Packer fan who brings their friendly advice to our homeristic board. :-) They were talking about the GB Packers road to the SB, not the Bills. I know it is hard to differentiate at times, but we have some nice Non-Bills faithful around these parts (I know i have seen a few die hard Browns fans too that post frequently.)

Training Camp Newbie...Help?
rsxfirefighter replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its about 300 yds (3 football fields). But you really only walk it at the beginning and end..unless you need to use restrooms which are located half way down that path by the lower left side of the Main (lower left) football field. Oh yeah..make sure you bring a few singles with you. They only take cash for the $1 per person round trip bus fee from the high school to college. I forgot and had to stop at an atm when I got there. -
Training Camp Newbie...Help?

The walk is pretty significant. Definitely take the folding chair. I went for the first time last year for an afternoon practice. It was a great time. Hopefully this works, but this is a rough "memory" of the walk we had to make. Dropped off at Red Star and walked that path to bleachers. -
Cordy Glenn not participating to start camp
rsxfirefighter replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well even though he has 17 posts, he has been a member since 27 Apr 2008. That is a long time to keep an account just to troll the thread. I would expect an account that is a week or two old to do something stupid like that. Some of us only signed up for accounts to click on links and view pictures that required an account. We read alot, but post a little. Not defending his post, but defending his account status. Hopefully whatever is afflicting Cordy, it is minor and short term. We need this team as much as possible at full strength to progress enough to make the playoffs. Once this team starts winning serious games against serious competition, then they can build that winning attitude where a few injuries wouldnt derail them. -
They take them on a tour of a college campus to show them what one looks like... Oh wait..

I may not post a lot, but I sure read a lot. :-D

I remember there was an article 2 years ago complaining how he was given an easy test and such to become a law officer in Texas or something. People were complaining that he was basically just given the badge where others had to truely earn it. correction...it was last year http://www.myfoxhouston.com/story/22289371/2013/05/18/mario-williams-is-now-licensed-peace-officer-in-texas

Love the new attitude with this team..just love it.

I find it the most interesting that Baltimore's rookies are reporting today considering the Vets have 1 more week before the vets have to report. I guess they tied their "Rookie" Camp into their training camp schedule.

Sunday Ticket - Share Your Strategy Time...
rsxfirefighter replied to Griz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The actual billing should have been included in your July Statement. Mine was. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I just did the 1/2 hour deed. (Note: Last year, got a free Genie and 2yr contract. So I am under contract for 1 more year) Initially gave me $8 off for 6 months. Then gave me a $5 credit for 6 months. Then upgraded me for free to ST Max. (technically another $15 off for 6 months) He offered to transfer me to retention to see what they could do for me. She offered me $10 off for 12 months. Got her to give me the Genie Go for $50 off the $99 price plus free shipping. Then gave me a 1 time credit for $20. All in all, saved $308 for 1/2 hour of my time. (not counting the Genie Go that I wanted). Wish I could do the same for pay raises with my bosses. -

Update on renovations to The Ralph
rsxfirefighter replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks eball for sharing. Thanks Hammer for taking. Those pictures are still way better than our imagination. :-D -
There is still a big problem, eball's issue occurs under the sarcasm caveat. That caveat reads, if said proposed owner is desired by the majority of the fans, he shall not own two sports franchises in the same jurisdiction. This caveat was put into place to prevent cross contamination of sports fans allegiance due to the overwhelming love of the owner.

http://www.allsportswny.com/ej-manuel-meets-buffalo-media/ Q: You have had a chance to chat with Jim Kelly. What has he told you and how has he filled you in on what to expect? A: Yeah, I met Mr. Kelly two years ago. Florida St. recruited his nephew Chad. So that first time I was star struck to meet him. To be here and join this fraternity of quarterbacks here for the Buffalo Bills, to meet him, get his cell phone number and stay in contact with him means a lot. The fact that he has reached out. C.J. Spiller has reached out. Stevie Johnson has already reached out. Talked to those guys and they are very excited about me joining the team. Q: There are some people that say you are a developmental quarterback. Do you see yourself that way? A: I expect to come in and compete. I expect to come in and learn. To me, the biggest thing is to come in and earn the respect of my teammates. I think the best way to do that is not do a lot of talking. Just come in and try to learn as fast as possible. I dont know, I think EJ said all the right things after he came to town. Kinda hard to pick a home town team that you want to beat (Cleveland) when you didnt really have one. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/47786/nfl-prospect-ej-manuel Adam (Medford, OR) Favorite NFL team..? EJ Manuel (10:21 AM) I don't have one.

I do not have season tickets, I would if I lived alot closer than DC. But $50 per seat for the season is not a bad deal. That is roughly $5 a game or about $1.00 per hour you use it. Wish other things in my life cost that much for the amount of time I actually used it.

Bills officially for sale - let the bidding begin!
rsxfirefighter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now converted to plain English: "With the additional support we earned throughout all Buffalo by parting ways with Ville Leino, we are actively bidding and are not going to tip our hand or give any indication about the ownership group we have strategically assembled." -

I have always been accused of using wishful thinking. I would be happier than a pig in shi.......well you know what I mean.... if this plays out.
