  1. Am I the only one who sees the irony with the Lombardi Trophy between the uprights? If only Scott kicked it straight, that would have resulted in the Lombardi Trophy way back when...
  2. I cried when Gailey actually attempted a FG!!!
  3. Well, here is a Glass Half Full Opinion: This is allows the team to transition to an owner that will want to keep it here. (Unless they are willing to spend 1 Billion for a franchise, 400 million to relocate it, and 1 Billion+ to build a new stadium wherever they go) This will also allow the new owner to work on a new Stadium Plan to be built in the year 2020 which would be perfect timing for replacing the Ralph. But like I said, this is my Glass Half Full Opinion.
  4. Umm, how do you figure. Ron Brooks is a Rookie. Yeah he may have learned the system, but I know for sure he did not do well last year here in Buffalo. Second of all, Hopefully the opposing team's QB will be throwing him the Ball. He is a DB my friend. Not sure who think he is, maybe you confusing him with Bucky Brooks from way back when..
  5. Come on guys.. Ralph is to cheap to mail a check, he is in town to pick up the remaining balance of his signing bonus.
  6. Wow...wonder who he could be talking about...50% of our Front Four...IE Marcell and Mario?? http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bills-chris-kelsay-questions-teammates-205949667--nfl.html Now, only if the rest of the team decided to play the game their being paid for the whole game....then we could really see where the problems with this team reside. I miss the days of Tasker and Talley....where it was 150% emotion and heart every damn play.. Saw Talley waving the Ralley Flag before game....I think he needs to be in the damn locker room kicking some rear ends and telling the players they dont deserve to wear the Bills Helmets that they sport!! These jokers need to earn it damn it...They got paid, now prove your worth every damn cent of that paycheck your gladly cashing!!!
  7. DJP: Owners can have ownership in multi leagues. The only stipulation is all teams in question have to be in same market. Pegula could buy the Bills if he wanted to. Jacobs (Owner of the Bruins) would have to give controlling interest to his son if he wanted to buy the Bills. But this has been hashed and rehashed a million times. Use the search function!! Had to beat others to it :-P
  8. I was watching the game with my brother. He insisted Bowe was out of bounds. I insisted he was in and we watched the replays. None of the replays showed a good view of his 2nd foot as it was close to the white bounds paint. My brother insisted he was right. This is where technology came in handy. I clicked rewind on my DirecTV remote and went back to game film. Paused it just after he caught the ball and placed his 2nd foot down. You could cleanly see Blue turf between his foot and the white bounds paint. It was a good TD. I didnt like it because I actually had the Bills Def playing and it hurt me. But it was the right call
  9. Basically as people said, use private browsing or just clear out your CACHE and Cookies. Thats how they are tracking it, they are putting cookies on your computer and when you max out they lock you out. If you keep them clean, or use the private browsing option (which doesnt store cookies) you can get around their ancient tracking technology
  10. Umm....who the hell still has a VCR connected to their TV???
  11. Good picture of Easley the "BEAST" from last years Arizona Camp Fitz http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2011/4/20/2122224/bills-players-working-out-at-camp-fitz
  12. This is strictly 100% my opinion. I feel that anyone who thinks were going to draft a WR in the 1st round, this is not going to happen unless a top WR slips bad. If that doesnt happen, we will be taking more than likely LT Jonathan Martin, Stanford. If the stars align, I predict that our #2 WR entering the season will be... hold....hold.... 3rd year Marcus Easley. He has been hampered by some strange circumstances this past year, he was cleared near the end of the season to resume his football career. He is 6'2, 220 lbs who has been clocked as low as 4.4 in the 40. I truely feel with a complete offseason under his belt with our strength and conditioning group that any issues he saw last year have been 'rectified' as best as can be. Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson have called Easley a "beast". This is an old article: http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article504918.ece I also know a previously old article that was talking about the camp Fitz had in Arizona, someone compared Easley strengths similar to Larry Fitzgerald. Now, this all depends on if he can stay "HEALTHY", but if he does. Look out....him and Stevie will tear it up!!
  13. Yes WE...im sorry...i have been a diehard bills and sabres fan since being a toddler (30+ years). However the fact that I do not have any financial interests in the team or its profits, I still feel it is a part of me. So therefore I will always use the "WE" and "OUR" and "MY" terms when referring to either of these teams. Their profits dont pay my mortgage, however their victories Fuel my Sanity!!
  14. JW, I appreciate the info. I just find it amazing how all the Normal Beat Reporters just left it at the "Game Returned" and didnt push any further. I really hope that we kept at least a majority of the money if not all since the preseason games were never really the intention of the deal compared to the regular season games. They were always thrown in there to appease the local fans and to prevent extremely mass hysteria. Could you imagine if the season ticket holders for 5 years had to pay for both preseason games and only 7 regular games. At least they justified it by saying they got rid of 3 of 5 preseason games (which has since dropped to 2 of 5). Heck, for all we truly know, that might have been the main intention in the first place, and we will never really know.
  15. Sweet, I just never saw it documented anywhere. Now I wish Ralph and the team was proactive and gave that preseason game "FREE" to all the season ticket holders Not saying that they didn't or will not, but i just see the team making a buck at every opportunity That would definitely be classified as Fan Appreciation Game if those tickets were 100% free to season ticket holders since the team has already been compensated for that game.
  16. If this has been previously posted, please close and disregard. I have yet to see it and it is driving me nuts. Since Toronto Returned the Preseason Game back to Buffalo, does the Bills have to give back the ~ $8 Million we received as compensation for that game? I know the whole deal equaled about $8 Million per game, but since they returned it back to Buffalo for the Bills to sell to their fans/customers does this mean we have to return that money allocated for that game? If not does this mean the Bills will actually make ~10 Million for the Preseason game now, since we get ~$4 per Regular Season sell out (and we know Pre-seasons never sell out) so I figure about Half plus the $8 Million. Maybe if John Wawrow is around, he might be able to dig a little up on this.
  17. Yes, you heard me correctly. I finished my season 13-3 and Super Bowl Champs. Why....why...cause i had this horrible horrible gut wrenching decision to make on Friday. Do I start Chicago's Defense against Green Bay...or do I go with Buffalo's Defense that couldnt stop a snail from rushing on them?? Well, I pulled my hair out up until 1:01PM on Sunday when I could not make any more changes. Buffalo Defense: 30 Points Chicago Defense: 1 Point I won my Super Bowl by 25 Points...Thank you Bill's DEFENSE for actually showing up for a game this 2nd half. On a side note, CJ Spiller pushed me through my playoffs with his solid play. Go figure...I would be thanking Spiller and our Defense for this...never in a million years would I have guessed that weeks ago..
  18. My vote is #13... Who wouldnt mind watching Ms Laura Croft roaming the sidelines in tight tight clothing...at least there would be one positive thing going on for our team during game days. And then imagine when the weather turns cold. Yummy...
  19. No other team wants to sign Donte because he has this big Giant Buffalo Bills Logo Tattoo on his body ( i think it was the Bicep...cant remember). Buddy is thinking that hey...i dont have to give him too much because who wants to pay him to advertise our team...so let him sit there and come down in value....I resign him and look like a genius... EDIT: Found the link..inside bicep. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r242/jkizzo/billstattooo.jpg
  20. From what I just read: Cap is $120 Million. Minimum Cash per year spent is 90% of Cap (~$108 Million) The additional $12 Million will account for "Dead" Money and any extra the team wants to spend in Cash that year. Teams wont spend $150+ Million in cash in a given year, because it creates too much float money rolling over towards the next year cap. Which wouldnt give them enough room to spend the 90% Cash to Cap. Therefore they would have to restructure current players deals to give them bonus (IE guaranteed salary) and reduce their yearly salary to make up the Cash to Cap portion. This is rather a smart move on players who dont have guaranteed contracts to find a way to get more money guaranteed in the future by making teams more tempted to renegotiate contracts with players to move money around.
  21. go figure...after I post this question which has been bugging me for weeks...the buffalo news runs an article with key information.. By my calculations we have been spending between 88-92% cash to cap the past three cap years...so therefore we will be spending about the same as usual if the floor remains at 90%.... so in theory we will not be affected at all by this new cba....but actually be helped out by not allowing the ”magical” accounting by the big spenders out there....
  22. Correct me if I am wrong....and I know there are alot of people on this board who love to do it. I keep reading how Ralph and the Bills are going to be screwed under this new CBA because of the Cash to Cap basis of the Salary Cap. But if I do remember correctly, we all have been BIT..ing the past few years because Russ Brandon has been shoving down our throats the Buffalo Bills Salary Cap Approach of none other than "Cash to Cap". So if the NFL is now going to this Basis...how is this going to screw our Beloved Buffalo Bills? I honestly think this makes the Free Agency Market more competitive because you wont have teams like Washington and Dallas throwing out ridiculous signing bonuses to multiple free agents to bring them in because they can hide that money later on down the line. But as I stated before, Flame On!!!
  23. I know, I know...you all want links...but take this into consideration.... All the teams that made the playoffs had average to above average Offensive Lines. Buffalo was way below average due to all the injuries sustained. If your QB is getting hit on a 5 step drop consistently before he hits step 5. How do you expect him to be effective? If he is constantly being harrassed, he will constantly dump it off. I highly doubt TE, RF, and BB all have a similar checkdown attitude. But if you keep getting rear ended, you are going to alter your approach. So, in my personal opinion, Buffalo will NOT draft a QB in the top 5 rounds of the draft. They will, however, take 1 OT in the first round, a DT in the 2nd round, and then stock up on backup players for OT and LBs during the next 3 rounds. oh yeah...i know i dont have many 'posts', but i tend to read these and not reply the 1 liners like most.
  24. for those who are tech savy and have a computer hooked up to their tv and a high speed internet connection. NBColympics.com is streaming it LIVE in HD. I am pissed that its not on an HD channel, but this makes it better
