  1. Assistant HC not considered a promotion either. Considered a lateral move as well. HC is only promotion. Although...I imagine it only gets blocked on rate occassions.
  2. meh, he made a poor assumption, and a misinformed assumption - but I wouldn't say it was a racist assumption. Let's not be so quick to throw that out there. The point that some black coaches get interviews simply because of the rule has been a widely discussed issue amongst people who are both 'for' and 'against' the Rooney Rule.
  3. Snap. Based on his tweets...I think I know what happened. Whaley was not comfortable with the 4 interviews they did. Wanted 1 more...most likely one of the Steelers coordinators before deciding.Actually...certainly one of the Steelers coordinators. Pegula's got itchy about having to wait, afraid they might lose out on McDermott...and they pulled the trigger. Not sure who is the snake or if there even is one...but don't discount Monos making power play moves. The Pegula's seem susceptible to the flavor of the week. Lots of business owners get this way when they are not 100% certain how to fully create the vision they have(it's a new business for them, to be expected).
  4. I suppose reading between the lines isn't a strong suit of yours is it? take no offense...we all have our strengths and weaknesses.
  5. well based on these tweets in the order they came out - wawrow is saying that the Pegulas have their guy...but whaley has NOT found his guy. by saying no one has been rejected, he is saying whaley has not given his recommendation. but by re-stating the coaching hire hierarchy, he is suggesting pegula has someone
  6. I don't think it is a crazy idea at all - all the jokes about Rice, Moss, TO, Reed, etc... are misguided and don't fit the narrative. Percy is still young and has legit NFL talent. With that said - I believe he retired because he wanted a big pay day - and if he didn't get one - the health risk was not worth it to him.
  7. why would jeffrey not be part of their rebuild plan? there are no current rumors that they want to trade him. they have 40 million in cap space next season - possibly more with a cap increase. he is young and their best weapon. frankly, i could see them tagging him one more time. if he was going to get traded...we would be hearing something...only one week left to get it done. GM's value draft picks dearly - giving up a second or third (which is what it will take) for an 8 game player is too rich for these guys blood.
  8. Great Topic! Fun to compare your football life to others - good perspective. Thursday - Has to be a good matchup - or have a Fantasy Player going. If it meets that criteria - I will watch the whole game - or flip back and forth between Sabres and Cavs games. Saturday - Michigan every week. If there are ranked teams (or a really good matchup/rival) playing - I watch. So anywhere from 1-3 games on Saturday. Sunday - Bills EVERY weekend. Redzone for the other timeslot. Sunday Night - .........Honestly, I am usually football fatigued at this point. If it is an important matchup - or I have a FF player going and I really need that player to produce, I will watch. Otherwise...not uncommon for me to tune out. Monday Night - Fatigue still - but same as Sunday Night - will watch - if it warrants my time. After reading my post - impressed that my wife tolerates this as well as she does (and she tolerates it surprisingly well). If I watched as much as some of the posters do...I would be single!
  9. I think the Carpenter getting Cut trend might be a little overstated. I mean...he is the 19th highest paid kicker in the league...and played to where he was paid. Not to mention, I think we can all agree it was a down year for him. You could sign a vet - but it will cost just as much if not more. So where is the savings there? A rookie? Not a slam dunk he will outperform the vet we have now. Just think the whole cut Carpenter thing is a little overblown.
  10. My only concern is a man in his 60's using 'LOL' in his post. Just feels creepy. LOL
  11. This I will agree with - that is straight up theft.
  12. I think you are missing the heart of his post. The McDonalds comment was the least of the point he was trying to make. The point is, people have choices. The 'Jills', were people who had full time jobs; and did this as a way of getting notoriety, or simply being part of the community. If they didn't like the working conditions, they didn't have to become a Jill. They could have focused on their Full Time Job instead.
  13. Why would we want him fired? Look at it this way - His dream job is to cover the Pats - which was taken away from him. He does NOT like covering the Bills. Thus, he does not have ultimate job happiness. From our perspective - there are tons of places to get good, un-biased Bills information. ESPN is not the only one - so you don't have to read it. Best revenge is to give him clicks everyone once in awhile - and let him keep the job he does not particularly care for.
  14. this is most accurate of the truth- 6-7 million sounds right
  15. Thats because most people dont know how to truly read people. Nothing wrong with Sanchez. Just more over-opinionated and uneducated drivel on this message board.
  16. bc he is not high on tebow. its not like this guy is trying to make you read between the lines here. let it go
  17. i hope you are joking. if not, you are a retard
  18. yeah- add another one here. i only read through this thread hoping someone would comment on the title. dont get it.
  19. i guess eveyone blasted away. i love this time of year. armchair GM's are the best
