Do we know that for sure?

    I missed that!

Well. I missed Williams from the OP. But I started watching as they were interviewing Maye. Man I’m glad I didn’t take him in the mock draft for the Commanders. He looks like he was high AF and ready to sit in his car at the gas station and eat a whole bag of Cheetos, 6 nutty buddies, and 3 Gatorades. I expect that out of @Gugny but not a top QB prospect.

Is he the one that looks like Zack Wilson, no I think that was McCarthy

Yeah, McCarthy looks like Wilson but prefers women closer to his own age.

They both kind of looks like Wilson. JJ definitely does more tho

So I'm watching the pre draft. Caleb Williams looks tiny next to Cam Newton

Reminds me of when I laid eyes on Josh Rosen

Feel free to post any random thoughts from the pre draft hoopla

Not nearly as tiny, or nearly as High as Drake Maye

If I’m Brandon Beane, I’m not moving my 2nd or 3rd rd picks, too much depth at spots of need this year.

Id prefer to give up something marginal to move up and secure BTJ in the early 20s, rather than trade the farm to move up for Odunze at 9.

I’d quicker give up our first AND second next year along with 28 than I would give up 60 and 128 this year.

I imagine it gets you there.

lol the 49ers believe their getting a top 10 pick for Aiyuk seems a stretch.. let me pass on these 3 long term cost effective blue chip WRs and take the older proven expensive WR.

I mean, I guess but if I were a fan of that team I’d want the GM fired.

I guess it'd be a case of Aiyuk plus a pick or two from the 49ers.

Was my take. Probably takes Aiyuk and their late first rounder to get into the top 10

Continuing nightmare matchup with the Dolphins? The Bills have absolutely dominated the Fish since Allen arrived. They have enough weapons. That isn’t Miami’s problem.

Hill has been a thorn in the Bills side like, forever

Considering who they have throwing the ball to them, I'm fine with the Dolphins staying on the WR hamster wheel.

This I don’t disagree with.  It that might always be the case. As far as we know Tua hasn’t signed yet.

I hear ya on all of that.  Although I do think Dotson could still be a solid WR3.  Not sure if his lack of production is solely based on his talent.

mall comes down to believing in Maye or not.  You don’t, so the trade makes sense.  I do, so it doesn’t

Yeah I had higher hopes for Dotson as well and believe if he was on a team like Buffalo he would be much more highly regarded. Imo.

  8. I find it terribly hard to post sleepers before we know where they are going. The draft is tough enough to guess on with first round guys panning out. With mid to late round picks it’s about the situations they get drafted in a lot of the time. I’ve got my guys that I really like, but if they get drafted by the Panthers, Commanders, Bears, Jets, etc… I don’t really have a lot of hope for them overall.

Not a great movie that could have been greatly enhanced by a Jennifer Garner sex scene....still watch it every year...

I watch at the very least every single year. Put the old Blu Ray in last night about 10pm to watch it, getting ready for today. Regardless of it being somewhat unrealistic in terms of the moves that are made, I don’t believe it’s unrealistic in how things are done generally. Over exaggerated quite a bit in sure. I don’t think there’s as many surprises as in the movie as the real draft, at least not at pick 1. But they had to sell it and if you were talking about pick 3,4,5… I bet it’s very likely. It’s the whole Aaron Rodgers falling scenario. Sure the 3 second rounders for a top 10 pick is rediculous; but for the sake of the movie they had to do something. They fixed it by commenting about the “rookie GM” thing and made that kid all twitchy like Tweek from South Park.

overall, love the movie. It’s a tradition to me at this point, like watching Christmas Story and Die Hard on Christmas Eve.

I’m kind of a fan of that as well. Doesn’t matter which one I watch primarily. I’m recording the other so I can see what both are saying.

I am in 111 and got a call last Friday from a Legends rep that was looking to dispel rumors and put my mind at ease.  I asked him what the policy was for deciding who gets a shot a Super Bowl tickets and he said it was a league policy and the Bills have no control over it.  When I asked what the policy is, he didn't know.  Not very transparent in my opinion.  Probably will end a run since '77, just doesn't make sense to be paying for the right to buy tickets until I'm 79 years old.

Super Bowl tix are like a lottery. To my understanding, is each team gets the same amount of tickets to disperse to their STH. And in lottery fashion, you get a ticket/entry for every seat you have, for every season you’ve had them. So for example, if you’ve had 2 tickets for 15 years, you would have 30 entries in the Super Bowl lottery. They then take the winners, and offer them tickets (at Super Bowl ticket prices, it’s still not cheap) and go down the list until they reach the amount of tickets they have for each team.

The NFL has their own amount of tickets to sell for themselves, and they sell them early. You can buy SuperBowl tix now for next years superbowl if you want. A few years ago I bought tix and then we lost to KC in the AFC Championship game. Took a huge loss on tickets when I sold them in the secondary market to a broker.

to my knowledge, that’s how it’s done, more or less.

as far as this process with the PSLs and seat location for the new stadium, your probably going to pay a pretty penny for similar section type tickets. But I also think people are getting all bent out of shape regarding the current prices that are out there now. If you’re not worried about club seats. Heated. Covered. Extra amenities. You’re not going to be paying 10k for PSLs. If you’re looking for a lower bowl corner, or end zone seat, my guess is less than 5k for a PSL and probably about 2-4k per ticket. Just depends on how close you want to be, or what section. Just my opinion.

    No- for a few reasons:

I just think they’re going to blow their draft if they draft another QB other than Maye.  I also don’t think a QB needy team should ever trade away the ability to draft the best QB available in order to take a lesser QB.

On top of that, I don’t like passing on Fashanu twice (to draft Wrs both times) when you already spent a 1st on Dotson 2 years ago and paid Mclaurin.  So much invested in one position (a position dependent on a good QB) while the OL and DL are barren wastelands of talent.

if you think JJ = Maye (or Daniels) it’s an unbelievably good trade….and that’s certainly possible.  I just don’t believe that to be true.  I’m not a JJ believer, but I see why teams would draft him later in rd 1.  I love Mayes potential.

Well. Dotson hasn’t really shown anything special. We spent a 1st rounder on him but it’s been kind of a wasted pick at this point.

We will throw multiple picks at the OL/DL in the next few rounds and have some real competition there.

im not positive that JJ is the real answer, but I wasn’t positive Maye was either. And because of that I was able to extra picks for additional help that my team needs and will need. 6 picks in the top 76 will make the Commanders better in the long run. And if JJ is the answer, and he plays very well, next year we will be drafting 2 stud OL/DL in the first rd to assist him. If JJ isn’t the answer, we will likely be picking very early in the draft next year and have the extra 1st rounder to get to any QB we like. This isn’t a 1 year we’re going to be contenders, this is the long play at acquiring talent and building on that.

  14. 38 minutes ago, NewEra said:

Nah, they’d just be hiring a new HC and drafting another QB in 2-3 years while never making the playoffs  😉

like I said-  just a matter of opinion on the QB.  I like Maye and think passing on him will be a mistake.  I hope the pats pass on him or trade back if Wash takes Jayden

Well. I’m the GM so I make the rules here. Like I said, if I don’t like what JJ shows me, I’ll make moves next year and with the ammo I have I could easily get back into the top few picks to do it.

question, I know you like Maye, but had I taken Pennix, Worthy, McConkey, would you feel any better about it?

Washington should absolutely come out of this draft as the big winners.  Anything less is a failure.

Not gonna lie. This is how I felt today.

I’d be furious if I were a redskins fan.  Now I’d have 3 stud WRs (and a very good WR4-5’s) with no QB to throw to them….who has no OL to block for him and no pass rush to get the D off the field.  One year at a time I guess.

I’ld probably feel the same way when the skins draft Daniels over Maye tomorrow night, but drafting 2 WRs and neglecting the OL and DL is reckless imo.

all comes down to your opinion of the QBs. I wanted Josh Rosen. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Might not be wrong. I have admitted in the past that I haven’t done a lot of work on the QBs. As a Bills fan we haven’t had a need to watch them for a while. Fact is, I could have had Pennix if I wanted him, that’s who the Raiders took, no?

I have weapons for the foreseeable future, and I still have 3 more picks in the next 37 picks and another 6 to back that up to move up more if needed. I also walk away with an extra 1st rounder next year which I’m pretty happy about.

I’ll get 2-3 contributors out of the OL/DL in the rest of this draft (had it moved on) that I’d feel fine about. And if my QB didn’t show signs of progression throughout the season I wouldn’t hesitate to package him along with my 2 first rounders next year to move up for whoever is the next big thing. The Commanders will be ok.

@Virgil Obviously you made the right move with the trade up because Thomas was going to go to the Steelers at 20, or to another team in a trade up…and Worthy and McConkey are also gone. So it would have been Franklin/Leggette/Coleman etc, or another trade down scenario. Nice work.

It was also a win-win because I took the guy I likely would have taken at 19 at 28.

Out of the 3 mock draft outcomes for Buffalo, this one is my favorite.

The Commanders had been attempting to move up since 16 to take Thomas. Kept missing out in the deals. The Bills jumped me for the guy I wanted all along. Was offering both 2nds next year to move up along with 40. Missed out on the deals.

inatead of getting Thomas I did the next best thing. Took the best all around route runner and best speed guy in the draft. And spent about the same as I was planning on spending with Thomas. I thought about Franklin in one of the spots but nothing separated him from the others to me. He doesn’t have the speed of Worthy as far as being a mismatch on O, and doesn’t have the route running and ability to get open like McConkey to me. I thought teamed up with McClauren it worked nicely. If this draft continues to other rounds I would be spending a whole bunch on DL, OL in the next few picks.

  17. *** trade alert ***

the Washington Commanders have traded up again. Moving into the next 2 spots with their ammo from Denver earlier in the draft process.

they have traded for pick 40, and next years 2nd rounder (Washington) for pick 26.

with the 26th pick in the 2024 NFL draft the Commanders select: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas

    And

they have traded pick 36 (540 pts) and next years 2nd (den) (200 pts)

    For

    27 (680 pts)

    119 (56 pts)

and with the 27th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, the Washington Commanders select: Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia

with these 2 picks, the Commanders have ensured WRs to pair with Terry McClauren for the foreseeable future, while ensuring 5th year options on both. Giving JJ McCarthy teammates to grow with.

for this draft we have taken

    JJ McCarthy

    Xavier Worthy

    Ladd McConkey

and still have the following picks

    67

    76

    78

    119

    136

    139

    147

    152

    222

to bolster our offensive and defensive lines in a very deep, but not top heavy draft for the Trenches. All while keeping our extra 1st rounder next year from Denver.

the LA Rams @MrEpsYtown are now on the clock
