Probably from being used too much where as the others did not. using this logic is like saying, if only MJD or Rice would have broken 50 more tackles throughout the year they would have ended up with 600 yards more than they had.

Unfortunately you might as well just hand the defense your play call sheets because of this. Every team we play has at least an idea of what type of play we’re going to be calling based on personnel. One of the reasons I’ve always argued for a back that has the ability to do it all. You generally won’t be getting that in the 3rd or 4th rd.

Except if you would spent a late 1 or early 2nd with a trade back you could have gotten 1 really good back that could do the job that 3 of our jack of one trade, master of none RBs can do.

He Never has been. it’s funny all this talk about RBs and yet here we are, talking about a 4th or 5th RB that likely is a PS candidate, making argument for keeping in the team because he could be a Diamond. Or because Jones isn’t worth it on STs. Regardless the arguments. If we all went back to the spring pre draft and asked if it was worth it to pick up an every down back that can do it all so that we could keep a bunch of STers I wonder what the argument would be.

I think this is more accurate. Pretty sure it depends on multiple things. Pretty site these guys sign contract with practice squad also. Some players will be more desired than others as well. For example, I highly doubt a QB is making the same as a LB or RB.

I would also agree with this. I really like Ed. But I’d let Ed go in a heartbeat to keep Knox and his relationship with Josh and this offense. He will also be cheaper, and harder to replace than Oliver imo. Part of the reason we went all in on DT and DE In the off-season imo. They find out if they can go with Phillips, Jones, Settle, and Bryant going forward without Ed before making the decision on him. Then they can go out and draft a young kid in rounds 1-3 to replace him. JMO
