  1. Not to dismiss that Belicheat no doubt sees the value in Wilfork, but given the history of the Patriots team-first salary structure, and the salary recently awarded to Haynesworth in Washington, I don't know if I see the Patriots competing with those kind of numbers- uncapped year or not. Now, I don't know that the Bills would pay that kind of money, either. But who knows what kind of checkbook and authority Ralph will be giving our new coach (and hopefully front office)?
  2. Better than the Bills, overall yes. But you have to admit that this is not the Pats team that had been going to Super Bowl every year. The walls are starting to crack. We are starting to see the demise of the Pats. As in, they are starting their decline.
  3. It is truly a delight to see. I have only felt this way about the Cowboys of the 90's. I loved the 80's 49'ers. And ofcourse I wanted the Bills glory years of the late 80's and 90's to last forever. But the Patriots have been such an arrogant bunch of scumbags during their run, that I would love to knock them off at the end of the year. We beat 'em that 1st game. I grew so tired of the continued dirtbag tactics of Rodney Harrison, I wanted to cut him at the knees. Vrabel and his "hanger-on" nonsense. Question: with Wilfork's services soon to be up for sale, and possibly a new (perhaps 3-4 ) defense installed, would anyone see us taking a shot at Wilfork this offseaon? I love the demise of the Patriots, but let's not forget that perhaps one of the greatest architects- Scott Pioli- has moved on to run the KC operation. That is perhaps the biggest blow to the Patriots than any of the individual players leaving. The Pats have always done a marvelous job in replacing their lost veterans. That now seems in serious jeopardy. Sincerely though, I want to see the Bills stick it to them. Run up the damn score (sorry you pansies who thought this past Sunday was a run- if you can't stomach it you yellow-bellied socialists, then turn your delicate selves away), and crush that team like they have dominated us this decade. GO BILLS!
  4. I would say that's better than a woe-is-me-please-create-another-government-agency-and-increase-my-taxes-so-that-not-only-i-but-my-seventh-generation-grandchild-can-pay-for-it-just-so-that-i-can-get-another-handout Democrat. New York state, anyone?
  5. yeah, is it just me, or did Thurman seem faster than anything we have had since?
  6. After Rosenhaus having his open tirade a few weeks ago, blasting the team, front office, etc, I would be interested in where his take is now that atleast 1 of his clients on the roster is contributing.
  7. or KD getting dissed in CT...
  8. Nice speculation, but since we don't yet have an NFL-quality GM and are still interviewing candidates for the vacant head coaching position, I would say: NO.
  9. Not even worth a response... How about a billboard saying "Stop Stupid Posts", or "Trade away all lame fans who have no clue how to run an NFL franchise"? I mean, really...go cheer for Detroit or something.
  10. I was sincerely hoping that he meant STEVE Young.
  11. Yeah, I agree. To paraphrase Roscoe Parrish, I think this year Marshawn is guilty of "trying to do too much" instead of just rushing into the hole and pounding out some yards. Marshawn knows that the O-line is currently weak, injured, and inexperienced. We have also heard from Jackson about how a running back needs to get into a rythym offensively to contribute. Marshawn suspended himself for the first 3 games, and has never gotten into a rythym this year. The offensive line is a huge reason why. Marshawn is guilty of dancing too much this season, but last year he was one tough S.O.B. and it takes a team of tacklers to bring down Lynch when he is playing. My only advice to him would be to stop dancing, and hit the hole. Not to mention the fact that Lynch and Jackson are different types of backs. Why you want to trade away that?
  12. S-T-O-P. First, everyone complains because the Bills are inept and can't score. Now, we are supposed to feel sorry for the 'victim'- the hated Dolphins? Last time I checked, the Dolphins were hardly trying to stop Jackson's romps to the end zone in the 4th... Or to paraphrase Herm Edwards: "You play to WIN the game"
  13. And that is different from every other year, how?
  14. Yes. But those worries were erased when we kept winning. I love the aggressive approach. Forget playing-it-safe, Mauron-ball!!
  15. Well, #1- Kelly has been relegated to fan-with-benefits status since he retired from the team. I would think that about 75% of the fans on this site would bash Trent at OBD if they could. Kelly and Thomas are perfectly able to speak their mind, as this is a country with a 1st Amendment to a Constitution, and secondly there are iconic players of the franchise. They should be respected as such. Imagine Montana getting dissed in San Fran. Or Elway or Davis getting dissed in Denver. and #2- who cares!??!?!?!?
  16. I like this idea the best. Modrak and Guy have had a bigger hand in the past 8 years of terrible play than many acknowledge. There is currently another post on this site about Parcells not being bound by any contract in Miami, and possibly getting sick of the act by Dolphin minority owners Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. No one has even mentioned a whisper of this, but if I am allowed to dream, Parcells as GM of the Bills would be a dream come true.
  17. Getting Parcells would be the biggest move the Bills have made to shore up not only the team but the entire front office since Polian was hired. Bigger, even.
  18. Where did you get that from? He has actually written that Buffalo is the ideal location for football. He went on to list the collegiate game-day atmosphere, the weather, and the fan base as some ideal factors. The teams that he has always built are ideal for Buffalo.
  19. This is really a non-issue guys. Its a positive. For all of those talking about Jackson's age, lets also consider that he has been playing in the minor leagues for some time, and though it takes a toll on a body, it is not NFL-style pounding that he has been under. Also, he has been #2 or sharing the duties thus far. That also extends a career.
  20. It's good to see such a high draft pick finally able to contribute. I hope he only gets better.
  21. AS long as they were exciting, either one of those scenarios would be nice. I loved the first game against New England, though. Even though we lost the game, we still beat up the Pats. It has been my highlight thus far this season.
  22. Comical. As Tasker stated, the Dolphins lost their will to fight. The O-line opened the holes, and Freddy gouged them. I mean, if they want to give it to us, why shouldn't we take it? Man, amazing that anyone could find fault with the last 2 performances considering what we have been made to suffer through this season. They should just look at it as the valued "continuity" the offensive unit needs for the next game. Consider it a "live" practice for the Jets.
  23. I just got back from taking the dog for a walk (as is customary following sitting on my arse for the past 3 hours), and was thinking about the upcoming opponents. Caveat should be stated that this is the Buffalo Bills we are talking about. With that being said, they play the Jets in Toronto and the Chiefs next. Both winnable games as Sanchez has come back down to earth from all of the early season fans pushing him for sainthood in his first season, and since Kris Jenkins is out. The Chiefs are a little worse off than we are, so we should win the next 2 placing us at 6-7. But we also have games against the Pats, Colts, and Falcons. Does not look good with those opponents. You sit there though, and look at that Cleveland game, the first game against New England, and the Jags game. I can't help but wonder what could have been, if those 3 were wins...
