  1. It's a tough call for sure. I'm not strong on either side of the argument. It's really honestly makes me sick to think about. The only reason I am slightly leaning towards letting him go, is because I think Jason has handled this situation so poorly. It takes alot of stones to scoff at an employer who rips up those contracts and both times more than doubles your salary. Dude is an arrogant POS to think he deserves to be the highest paid OL in the game. I can't make a strong stand for either argument because I don't know him on a level, at which I can gauge his work ethic/motivation after cashing in. The bottom line is that he is pissing all over my enjoyable offseason again.
  2. Good point! I'd be watching Bills superbowl highlights if we still had Clements, McGahee, and Bledsoe. As Levy said- Go screw yourself Willis!
  3. Schobel has alot more success under his belt than Peters and at the time recieved a fair contract. The Bills have torn up two contracts in an attempt to pay Peters more. In return they have gotten a lengthy holdout, 11.5 sacks allowed, and demands to be the highest paid OL. He's a good player but doesn't want to be a Bill, IMO. It's a too big of a gamble on a guy with a questionable work ethic, coming off a subpar season.
  4. I agree Boldin would be a good fit in Mia as well as the other 31 teams.
  5. It sounds like the Bills are trying to take care of him being grossly underpaid. I think tearing up two contracts prematurely to give a player more money is a good sign the team is willing to negotiate. If the reports are accurate 3 million to 8.5 million per season is a nice pay increase don't you think? Jason Peters is playing hardball and the Bills have to decide whether or not he's worth what he wants. You can't take fault with the Bills on this one, IMO.
  6. I can't disagree with this post. As the draft gets closer it seems more and more likely that the Bills might go outside of the DL with their first pick. Who knows where the Bills have players ranked but given some of the other teams needs ahead of us it's not hard to imagine 2-4 DL picked ahead of us. The fact we haven't addressed the Te, Lb, and guard positions in FA yet, opens other possibilities as well.
  7. Count me in as one of the ones who has come around to the idea of drafting Pettigrew. I've read numerous reports that his blocking is the best that scouts have seen in a long time. While not overly explosive, he can get open and has better than average hands as well. Given the question marks we have on the O-line, a guy like this could really help out. I'm glad the Bills are bringing him in to at least talk with. His character concerns are fairly damaging but it sounds like the Bills are willing to see what he's about in person.
  8. I would be very careful with that. Owens knows he is a superior player and wouldn't take kindly to equal treatment. I'm not saying the guy needs to be completely catered too but he is the biggest star.
  9. I hope he did. Andre Gurode probably learned the value of buttoning up that chin strap as well.
  10. James Hardy is horrible, just heard it on TBD.
  11. But don't you get fantasy points for yardage?
  12. I find it very difficult to root for a guy who vertically stomps another unprotected player in the face with his cleats.
  13. This should be a warning to all Fantasy Football players. If you can't come back to reality after setting your lineup, it's time to put down the cheatsheets and walk away.
  14. That is pretty awesome but it sounds like it is your buddy's, mom's, genuine TO story.
  15. Mr. Weo you do realize Mike Martz went on to coach after his successful 99-01 run, right? Let me give you a few stats to back up my claim he is overrated. In the six seasons after 2001 that he has been a HC or coordinator, his teams have never been better than 4th most in Qb sacks taken. That's kind of what I mean when I say he gets Qbs killed. In those same six seasons his teams have never been better than 3rd in Qb interceptions. That kind of supports my claim that his absurd offense is a turnover machine. Six freaking seasons to not be among the four worst of both of those stats!!! Mike Martz made it only two seasons in Detroit before he was shown the door. The FO claimed he was a problem for the rest of the coaching staff and players were openly complaining about his pass-happy offense. His next failure came in S.F. last year. The 49ers were brutal to watch and to top it off he rubbed players and coachs the wrong way again. The mad scientist led his team to the most turnovers in the NFL last season. This guy has been a locker room problem at every city he's coached in. So why is it you think he should be considered for the Bills? Are you going to try and tell me that you honestly believe Trent and company will be able to run that crap system in the snow and wind? The only time his schemes have ever worked is when he had 5 HOF offensive players in their prime!!!! Even there he started to fail and would have been shown the door if it weren't for health problems forcing him to step down. So I say NO THANKS. Mr. Weo you can live in your fantasy 99-01 world if you like but I will consider his last six failures in judging him as well.
  16. HaHaHa! Nice with the Rookie! Sorry to disagree with your stupidity TBD Veteran. In short, someone who laughs or smiles on the sideline doesn't make them a clown. You are really going to use that as your reasoning as to why TE is a better leader than Mcnabb and Romo? What happened to Garcia not being able to be a leader because he's gay? What about 99 percent of the league who laugh and smile on the sideline? You make no sense and are making everyone here dumber by posting. To answer your question, the Qb who won his second superbowl this year is the biggest goofball in the league. I know, I know you saw "homo Romo laughing when the Boys were losing" and the only reason they came back was our bad coaching. Lol, GRADE A IDIOT.
  17. The Pac 10 huh.... everyone knows they don't play defense. Just breakin balls Alpha! I'd like to see how that stacks up to Simon's resume.
  18. You are entitled to your opinion and no one should fault you for posting it. However, you should be aware that if you make it public, it becomes open for debate. I disagree with your assessment of TEs leadership in comparison to those other Qbs, mainly because it can't be remotely proven. If you start backing it up with nonsense and Garcias gay evaluation, you are going to get called out.
  19. The first sentence in your original post, claimed that TE is the first real leader at the Qb position, that TO has ever had. I just thought that might include all previous NFL Qb's he played with (Steve Young). Other than your astute observation of "Romo the Homo" smiling during a game, Mcnabb smiling during a game, and Garcia is gay so he might have trouble leading players , you didn't bring up anything to support your claim. In fact you proved to everybody how immature and foolish you are. Again, what SPECIFIC REASONS do you have to support your idiotic beliefs? By specific reasons I'm hoping for something other than "I saw the guy laughing" and "Garcia is Gay". Actually please don't even try, I already know you can't and you are going to just post more ignorant statements.
  20. How about you watch him play and form your own opinion? I could care less about Steve Young's opinion, these talking heads get it wrong at the same rate we do. I hope he's right, I like TE.
  21. I am starting to think Pettigrew might be the best pick if we stay at 11. Everything I read about the kid says he's an unbelievable blocker. Some so called draft experts have claimed he could play tackle. Those are some serious accolades. The only problem is he knocks the crap out of uniformed cops as well.
  22. TE is simply average in all aspects of quarterbacking. It's not the worst thing in the world but it's not all that great either. He could improve or decline from this point. The arm strength isn't as bad as some say but his accuracy and decision making isn't as good as others say. Compared to JP, he looks pretty good. The problem is JP was awful. If I was forced to make a prediction about TE, I would have to say he will never be more than an average Qb. The good news is you can win in this league with an average Qb.
  23. Are you being serious? TE has proven to you that he is a better leader than Steve Young, Jeff Garcia, Donovan Mcnabb, and Tony Romo? How did he do this? I need specific examples, please. I can't prove that he's not but I don't make definitive statements about it either. So just out of curiosity, how do you grade leadership from your living room or stadium seats? What makes you think that those other guys aren't team first players? Why do you say TE on the otherhand is smart? Was Steve Young an idiot? What exactly makes you think TE has a better work ethic and more of a burning desire to win, than the other Qb's? If you can see it from outerspace, surely TO will notice.
