  1. Yeah and Romeo Crennel was 24 and 40 his first four seasons and got a second chance. Sorry man Im just not buying it. I think you are making too many assumptions about people you have never met. The ironic part was I wanted Lovie Smith here! I think we will see an upward trend continue as more black coordinators move through systems. This offseason was more circumstance in my opinion.
  2. Lovie Smith had a loaded roster for the majority of his time with the bears. They have also brought in multiple high priced stud free agents. What they got in return was 3 playoff trips out of 9 seasons and 1 out of the last 6. Not good enough if your color is purple orange blue etc. How about MARVIN LEWIS?
  3. The Bears were more than happy to have a black head coach lead their team for 9 seasons. Yet they were just itching to fire him because he was black. That had to be so grueling for them.
  4. Tragic shame for the Dareus family. Something they will never get over. RIP
  5. I cant agree with the notion that Peyton's teams were mediocre. I actually think Peyton has had more talent on the field over his career. The losses to the Giants are nothing to hold against Brady. Those Giants teams had a ton of talent themselves and were playing their best football. Brady didnt play poorly considering the pressure he was under. Those games were close. I find it hard to believe Peyton or any other all-time QB does a whole lot more under that pressure. I love Peyton but his own personal playoff performances arent all-time great.
  6. Brady is the best of this era and definately in the discussion for all-time. Peyton has been knocked out in the first round 6 or 7 times in his career. To compare that to Bradys superbowl losses is a little ridiculous.
  7. Yeah I agree that hes not bad. I read a really great article about his life in espns magazine. I was really commenting on perceived character concerns coming out of college. I think Vontaze has more serious concerns
  8. He kind of reminded me of Brandon Spikes. Neither guy was all that fast or athletic and both had character questions. The thing that is overlooked is their toughness and ability to just play the game. With that being said they are always capable of making poor decisions off the field.
  9. Im looking for the Bills to establish a running game. Its a tough task to get into a groove running the ball in preseason. I believe this offense as a whole will be alot better go foward. I feel the same way about the Jets too. Neither offense is as bad as things looked. Prediction: Bills 27 Jets 17 The difference is turnovers and qb pressure. We are finally going to see everything at full throttle
  10. I doubt Dez is embarassed about this. He probably has people telling him that he's showing a new level of dedication to the team by accepting his babysitters. The article even mentions how Jerry Jones thinks that its great that Dez is willing to work on doing the right thing with his babysitters and life coach (jay novacek). Jerry also says its not the strictest hes had to be on a player. The guy is a loser outside of football.
  11. Tough call. I dont think the video looks very good for the officer but I have never tried to detain a piss drunk beligerent moron.
  12. " I wanna thank my fans who have stuck by me and the truth will come out".......self serving and almost always a lie.
  13. Lawrence Taylor is my choice. Imagine lining up against 11 LTs on either side of the ball. Like a bunch of crazed daawwgggs!
  14. I agree with Biscuit, I thought Moore did enough to earn the starting job or at least a vote of confidence from the team. IMO drafting Tannenhill was a mistake and felt like a decision made by a person not on the football side of things.
  15. Ive heard the joke and it is very very likely that he was using it in the assumed manner. The whole thing seems ridiculous to me though. The guy gets fired for yelling "monday" at a player and they support their action by saying he is a known racist???? Why did he have a job if he was a known racist already?
  16. Its hard to understand why so many people missed the point of this topic. Despite the link to the article you chose for the "this is why I dont go to the movies anymore" thread, I knew you meant chatty people and expensive junior mints.
  17. I just went through the process of choosing a daycare. My wife and I went to 7 or 8 different places before we made our decision. The wide spectrum of quality was apparent right away and it had little to do with location in regards to the average income of the area. Daycare employees dont get paid very much, whether they work in the burbs or inner city. We chose a place that is 20 minutes in the wrong direction 3 days a week and more money. Ive never even thought twice about it though.
  18. Whether or not Martin committed a crime prior to the altercation has nothing to do with anything. The last paragraph is certainly true for some of us. Hatred spreads like a wildfire and various groups love to light those fires every chance they get. Before you know it, normal tolerant people become divided in their thoughts. The Us v.s. Them mentality is an epidemic.
  19. A sick 9 year old was given this opportunity by ignorant adults. Nice daycare
  20. I completely agree. Although, I get the feeling Chan survives a disaster of season. I think the rest of the team goes into the season with a chip on the shoulder but no added pressure. These players seem to buy into the coaching staff and I think that alleviates some of the pressure on individual performance.
  21. No witnesses you say? How do you know that no laws were broken? How do you know that "physical altercation with a civilian" wasnt a life threatening assault on a civilian? On the otherhand, we don't know if Zimmerman initiated the physical contact. We don't know schit. Still, its sad watching people expose their agendas in such a stupid manner. Race baiting and racists from all walks of life emerge and prove that we dont value eachother.
  22. I like all the answers that focus on neutralizing the pass rush with short to intermediate routes. Its really a league wide practice in todays NFL. The rules allow WRs to get off the line so much faster and the smart teams exploit that. Chan Gailey recognizes this and that is why we've seen an uptick in yardage and QB protection. I think most defenses can be exploited with this general plan. I also believe that play calling is far more important than a general gameplan. NFL teams have playbooks loaded with all different kinds of plays but its the timing that makes the machine go. Even good defenses can get shredded all sorts of different ways. Good players and good playcalling is too much for any defense.
  23. I wasnt intending to accuse you of that. I do think that sort of evaluation is common though.
